The hot/cold setting is where it's at
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It gets very cold, just on the level of uncomfortable, but it feels good at the same time. And it gets hot, it didn’t get hot for me to feel uncomfortable at all but I’ve always been able to handle heat better than cold. I got hand surgery about a month ago, the cut is all healed up at this point but the muscle is still pretty tight and sore, this was kind of annoying to use on my hand with the fan on top that I wanted to make sure wasn’t blocked the straps being a little big to use easily but the cold and hot setting (click and hold both at the same time) that went cold, hot, cold, and hot then shut off was amazing, it ate through the soreness and tightness of that muscle and one time of using that was more useful than the entire month of trying to massage the area and use different packs from the freezer or microwave. So, all that to say, it is bulky, a little hard to maneuver in the right spot and it’s not really easy to use unless you are focusing on using it at least for myself, but the results were absolutely amazing for me and that is really what counts in the end to me. The battery is also decent too, I’ve used it several times in the hot/cold and the battery is still going strong. It has hot only, cold only, and then the switch between the two, for me the last setting is the key and makes this pack stand out in usefulness, and it gets hot and cold fast. All in all, it is a little bulky and a little heavy for an ice pack but the tradeoff of hot and cold in short order is well worth it in my opinion.

Retired
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to return. The Therabody when turned on will only stop when the timed cycle is over. No way to stop after a few minutes. Doesn't make sense to me.

Easy to use and works well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nothing beats a good hot pack on sore or aching muscles, so the idea of something I could use for a hot and cold pack forever was really interesting and I will say this doesn't disappoint. Therbody makes really high quality products and that includes this hot cold pack. It feels sturdy and really well made. All of my other therbody products have lasted a long time and I have no doubt this will too. In the box you get the device, two straps of different sizes for your back vs arm or leg and the charging cable. Overall there isn't too much to the product, which is actually a good thing. Using the device is dead simple. Hold the hot or cold button to turn it on and then adjust to one of three intensity settings. I was shocked when the device heated up or cooled off almost immediately. It can get pretty hot and icy cold as well. The blue metal pad is fairly large and provides nice even heat or cold to where ever you place the device. The fan is kind of loud. I'd compare it to a laptop fan on full blast. So don't expect to be silent while using this thing. But that's really the only negative I see to this product. Overall it works perfectly. Heats up and stays hot. Cools down and stays cold. It fits comfortably on my arms and back and does so without being overly complicated. In a world of complex gadgets, it's nice to find something that works simply, feels high tech, without needing an app or all kinds of craziness to use.

Therabody cube
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Therabody - recoverTherm Cube is a device I was thrilled to get my hands on. I am not a fan of ice packs. They are always way too cold. To keep the skin from getting too cold and letting it work its way deeper we use a towel or something to make it easier on the skin but then it doesn't feel as effective. This recoverTherm cube has 3 temperature settings on the cold: 61, 54 and 46 degrees. It stays on for something like 20 minutes so that you don't overdo it. The cold setting is turned on by pressing and holding the button with the snowflake on it. Pressing the button again will change the temperature settings. Pressing the flame activates the heat settings. This is awesome as well. It also has three temp settings: 95, 102, and 109 degrees. Pressing and holding both buttons will activate both for a therapy that will move between the hot and cold in five minute intervals. Using the supplied straps to keep it in place is a game changer! It comes with two sets, a shorter for like arms and legs and a longer for torso and shoulder use. The only downside I could foresee is that it's not covering enough surface area for larger muscle issues. I would recommend it though for the smaller area issues and just move it as needed.

Great find
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Impressive find. This is a solid option for both heat, cold or contrast therapy. It get way hotter and colder than I expected and gets there very fast. It was awesome to be able to take on the road for a race weekend and have something small that wasn’t going to make a mess to help recover from minor injuries. I tweaked my knee in a run and this was soothing to help ease the discomfort. The contrast therapy setting is twenty minutes long so it can take some patience, but it does make it more comfortable to get up and do that next race. It may leave a nice red square where the skin is mildly irritated where ever it is used on the highest setting, but you can turn it down and it is more tolerable depending on what effect you are looking for. It is noisy with a continuously running fan. I didn’t realize how much the fan was annoying me until it shut off. It would be advice to do it while you are doing something else to drown out the noise like watching or listening to something. Great find.

Wrong item sent!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received a kitchen aid mixer part instead of what I originally ordered! It was super inconvenient. I had to return the kitchen aid and I ended up just going to Therabody Store at Lenox to buy the actual product.

Perfect Pickleball companion
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I play pickleball 5-6 times a week and occasionally have wrist or knee strains from it. At times, I really needed an ice pack but it’s not practical due to it not retaining its cold in just a short amount of time. I saw an ad for this Therabody Recovery Therm Cube and it was exactly what I was looking for. It’s tiny, fits in my bag, runs either hot, cold or both and runs for a long time per charge. I just use it for spot treatment at the moment but appreciate the included straps in case I need to wrap an area. I don’t have an issue using it on joint areas like other reviews…not sure why they say it’s difficult, but ok. It’s not cheap but it looks like it’s well made and I have high hopes it will last for years. Highly recommended!!

Therapeuticly Wondeful
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This recovery cube is a wonderful little device that I didnt know I needed. I do weightlifting 3-4 times a week and, needless to say, my I'm sore quite frequently. I also have an old shoulder injury that flares up now and again. There's really not much that can be said other than... it works. The cube is very easy to use. The next day after a workout, the contrast setting is perfect to ease the lactic acid build-up. 20 minutes of automatically vasilating between heat and cold is perfect. It's so convenient to sit in one spot while the hot and cold therapy works its magic. For acute injuries, like my daughter's up-coming meniscus tear surgery, the cold setting is perfect. No more running back-and-forth to the freezer to get a new frozen bag of ice, which inevitably ends up leaking all over. Press the cold button on the cube and you've got 18 minutes of instant cold therapy. It gets cold very quickly, even on the first level. As for my old shoulder injury, the heat setting is wondeful. The included longer strap makes it easy to place the cube right where I need it. As with the cold setting, it gets hot very quickly too. For 24 minutes the heat radiates deep into my shoulder and alleviates the ache. The Therabody Cube is a little miracle worker and a must-have for all your recovery needs.

Really decent multi-functional device
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Portable hot and cold all in one device, makes this therbody recoverytherm cube a good addition to your therapy cabinet. I like having the ability to strap this to one spot and have the device alternate from hot to cold which makes this great to focus on one area, unlike a traditional heating pad or ice pack that may be too big for the exact area i am trying to focus on. Being able to lock it in place is nice as well as knowing i can unhook the strap and just move it onto whatever i want to focus on. pros: portability, being able to take it where ever and whenever is a very nice feature of this device quick charge times, and for what the device is doing the battery life is pretty good different presets (Heat : 24 minutes, Cold : 18 minutes, and Contrast therapy 20 minutes [cold/heat alternating])) comes with one 23.6 & 39.4 inch strap(s), and usb-c charging cable the buttons on the device are simple to use cons: as some others have mentioned it can be challenging to get this strapped on certain areas, but nothing just holding it in place cant remedy. i also found that if i put this on the back of my neck and hold it there the fan on the device seems to push off my hand and redirects the airflow onto my neck, which when trying to do a heating element can be counter productive as the fan ends up cooling my neck which makes it difficult to concentrate on the heating benefits of the device, other than this one issue i ran into the device is pretty solid. i would give this unit a chance if you are looking for a portable therapy device for hot and cold such as this provides.

Amazing, health/wellness game changer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s amazing. Buy it. I’m 42, moderately active, hike, and sometimes more than not I ache. This therabody thermcube is an absolute life saver. It’s so simple but soo effective. I’m going to get one for each of my family members households… this basically is an electronic hot and cold pack but with modifiable temperatures and no hot or cold packs to deal with. There’s a hot setting, a cold setting, and contrast which is 5 minutes cold, 5 minutes warm twice. As soon as I turned it on the first time and felt the cold plate that goes against your skin, I was absolutely amazed. It took like 3 seconds to get ice cold. It was almost instant. I ran upstairs and woke my wife up to have her try it I was so amazed. She immediately looked at me and said “umm we need to get this for everyone for Christmas”. And Then I learned contrast mode. This cold/hot alternating mode is phenomenal. I put it whatever muscle hurts and 20 mins later, it doesn’t hurt. I used it once or twice a night for the last week and a half and have yet to find a spot that hurt after my contrast session. It comes with two strap sizes that you can connect to create a third size that could be better, but I’m currently using to keep it on my lower back so it works. The sizes are what appear to be arm sized, leg sized and combine the two for waist or shoulder size. I get 3-4 contrast sessions between charges. Really it’s just amazing. Every household should own one.

Great muscle relief and nice small package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this little cube. It's nice and small, not to heavy and gets amazingly hot/cold for a battery powered device. I've had a sore neck muscle for a while and this has really helped relax it enough to start getting better more than I'm making it worse every day at work. The hot/cold therapy is great for muscle recovery after a workout or even just for sore joints at the end of a day. My only gripe with this is the noise from the fan. It's honestly not horrible but it is a loud fan that runs anytime the cube is powered on. When it's on my leg it's not bad and I can completely ignore it but when I had it on my neck it's loud enough I can't put it out of my head. It's definitely not a dealbreaker compared to what this thing can do but it is notable. Overall I'm very happy with the performance, battery life and size of this. It's helping with my daily comfort on everything from daily work soreness to workout recovery. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for hot/cold therapy.

Surprisingly Good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a bit skeptical when ordering this device due to the fact that I owned the Theraface cold ring. That was such a disappointment due to the face that it didn't get real cold and stay cold. Also their RecoveryTherm knee wasn't as cold as the Hyperice X. With this device, boy was I wrong!! It gets cold and fast, just as good as the Hyperice X. The heat function is just as good. I love the contrast function of cold/hot 5mins for 20mins. The included straps are sturdy and the Velcro is strong. I think they priced the device perfectly at $150, compared to their other overpriced items.

Versatile, effective high-quality treatment device
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Therabody - RecoveryTherm Cube is a very conveniently-sized, surprisingly powerful, and effective device for treating injuries, relieving pain, reducing inflammation, and maximizing muscle and joint recovery. When I first received my RecoveryTherm Cube and noticed how small it is, I started to doubt how effective it would be. I thought nothing this small and handy could possibly generate enough heat AND cooling to really be effective but it didn’t take long for me to realize I couldn’t have been more wrong. After completing the initial full charge of the device (it should be noted it comes with a USB-A to USB-C charging cable but no charging brick), I went ahead and fitted the device with both straps so I could use it on my shoulder / neck area where I often experience discomfort and tightness and tried the various settings. I was immediately impressed with not only how quickly the device heats up and cools down, but also with how hot and cold it is able to get. Having something with the ability to provide both hot and cold treatment almost instantly is a real gamechanger as I really like the dynamic of switching between the two. This is probably also why I really love the last of the three presets this device comes with. It can not only do sessions of only cold or only hot, but also a third “contrast” preset that transitions between cold and hot in one session. This is my favorite setting so far and I have really enjoyed using it on various parts of my body that have been giving me problems. Overall, the Therabody - RecoveryTherm Cube is a great, high-quality treatment device and I highly recommend it!
