    Unbelievable Value & Top-Tier Relief!

I was initially skeptical about the “Relief” given its much lower price point compared to other Therabody products, but I was blown away by its performance! Not only does it deliver the same high-quality deep tissue massage I’ve come to expect from Therabody, but at $149, it’s an absolute steal. The “Relief” has been a game-changer for my post-workout recovery. Its ergonomic design, combined with the power it packs, rivals the more expensive models in the market that go for $200+. It’s clear that Therabody has once again prioritized the user experience without compromising on quality. For those on the fence because of the cost of premium massage guns, the “Relief” is your answer. Highly recommended!

Exactly as described. Gr8 for ppl who suffer from arthritis. I was able to single handidly hit the knot between my shoulder blade and spine. This lil fella has enough power to break up tension areas and loosen them without any muscular assistance from me. FYI: if I’m leaving a review, that must mean that it was a pretty dang good product. Just sayin because I don’t leave reviews lightly.

Down to earth pricing for a premium massager

I’ve read the benefits of percussive massagers and always wanted to try one out but Theragun has always been too much money for me to even try with some of their versions over $500. Like many, I have looked at knock off brands for cheaper but didn’t trust the random no-name-brands and was pleasantly surprised that Theragun added a sub $200 massager to their assortment. What you get with the “Relief” is a stripped-down version of their more premium lineup. To keep prices low, there isn’t a pressure sensor, digital screen, Bluetooth connection and lower intensities. For my first time using a percussive massager, the “Relief” model is exactly what I was looking for. A lower price point to get me into their ecosystem as I can see myself upgrading in the future. Its super simple to use with just one button and 3 LEDs to show you intensity level. Long press to start/stop and quick presses to change the 3 intensities. The battery life has been fantastic and quickly charges via USB-C. Don’t get me wrong, the Theragun Relief is more than capable of massaging those tender muscles. It includes 3 popular attachments and I find myself rotating amongst them for my various needs. The packaging is super premium and includes a quick start guide to get the most out of your massager. There is a companion phone app that’s free and completely awesome. While the more premium Theraguns connect to the app via Bluetooth, you don’t actually need Bluetooth to use the app. The app has many videos on how to target the muscle aches and soreness you want to tackle. My favorite program to use within the app is the “Pickleball Recovery” program. Its 11 min of massaging different body parts that’s typically sore after a game of Pickleball. In summary, I do recommend the Relief to anyone looking to get into percussive massaging without spending $$$. It’s well worth the price and the price is just right to get you hooked. I do wish it came with a simple case or drawstring bag to hold your massager and attachments.

We've had a Therabody Theragun Mini "1st Gen" for a long time now and it's battery is getting short so started looking for a replacement and found the new Therabody Theragun Relief fit our budget and had to give it a try. Unboxing: The Relief comes nicely packed logoed box and is well protected in a plastic cradle, "you could use the box as storage if you wanted". Along with it there's two extra tips, a USB C cable and some "flash cards" showing different ways to use the device. Using: This model is a basic model, there's no WIFI or Bluetooth you have to connect, just charge and go. It does not come with a charger, but most people have plenty of those laying around anymore, and the included cable means I can keep it with the device and not have to hunt around for a cable at least. There are three levels of intensity, and we find the middle one is our most used setting. The first almost seems too slow and we can feel the impact more than the higher levels, but each person is going to have to find their preferred level of impact. There are three tips total that come with it, a standard ball good for overall use and gives a pretty hard impact and we only use that if we have a muscle knot that just won't go away with the softer head. Next is a dampener head that lowers the impact a good bit and is great if you are working on a really sore spot or on a bony area. We use that one a lot as hitting a super sensitive area doesn't make you jump, and the head is larger covering a lot more area. I like this for my lower legs as I get a lot of leg cramping especially after going out for a long walk around the neighborhood. Then there's the thumb tip that's good for hitting trigger points and that really works well. I have a couple spots on my back that my wife can hit that really hurt but after a minute of massage they feel great, and my back is no longer sore. What's really nice is that Therabody also sells different heads, and you can build up a collection of them to fit your needs. We bought the extra-large ball for the Mini, but it fits the Relief just fine, and if you have a super tender spot or just want to cover a large area that one really does the job. Conclusion: I really like that the Therabody came out with the Theragun Relief, it's much cheaper and more affordable than the higher end units and if you are older and don't want to mess around with Bluetooth settings it's about perfect. We also like the fact that it has USB charging as our old Mini has a proprietary charger and you have to remember where you put it all the time. The massage either gives is about equal in strength but we prefer the Relief for its grip shape which makes it so much easier to use one handedly being able to reach my own back with it "can't really do that with the mini". We've only charged it once and so far the level hasn't fallen below 3 "max" so the battery should last a good while. The Relief also feels lighter than the Mini which makes holding onto it for extended periods much easier, "the design also helps a lot with this too". If you are looking for an excellent percussive massager and are on a budget, I think you'll really enjoy the new Theragun Relief, there aren't any bells and whistles "electronic ones", which makes it very simple to use, and you can download the Therabody App if you want some instructions on how to use it for different types of muscle groups

Your Body's Relief = Theragun Relief

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Theragun Relief “Percussive Massager” is made for those day-to-day aches and pains. It relieves stress, powering through the body’s pressure points. Used every day, your body will start to feel better as those painful areas recede with the consistent use of the Theragun Relief. The Theragun Relief aids in achieving better overall health through “Percussive Massage” tension relief. The Theragun Relief is a “Percussive Massage” device that uses rhythmic repetition on your body with attachments to relieve tension. I have used the Theragun 3x a day, morning, noon and night and am starting to feel more relaxed and less stressed. The overall uses of the device are very intuitive. To turn on the Theragun Relief, simply press and hold down the button on the back of the handle. A Blue (full), Green (half), and Orange (low) light will slowly dim appear telling how much juice is left in the device. A USB C to USB C cable comes in the box for charging up the Theragun Relief. I plugged my USB C end into my laptop USB C port for charging. The Theragun Relief came with some battery life, but I plugged it in to fill up. It took about 1.25 hours to charge fully from when I removed it from the box. The time in-between charge is 120 minutes until the next charge. Looking at the battery light, the speeds are shown in white lights: One light (slow), Two lights (medium) and Three lights (fast). Also, worth mentioning is how quiet the motor runs. I was impressed with this feature because I could use it at night and not wake anyone up. I have used it every day (several times a day) testing it on sore or sharp painful areas on my body. The more I use it, the better I feel. For example, I have “golfer’s elbow” in my right arm and have been receiving occupational therapy. The elbow joint and muscles, tendons and ligaments are very tight and painful to move. In-between therapy sessions, I use the Theragun Relief. In conjunction with my therapist, the device has helped to loosen up the areas that are painful around the joint. I am experiencing more mobility, less tension and aching. Now, there are three specific attachments that fit on the Theragun Relief: Standard ball, Dampener ball and Thumb. Each one plays a role to help reduce tension and those body aches. You can use the Standard Ball for any “applications to relieve tension” in your body. The Dampener is a bit more specialized in parts of the “body that are more painful.” Lastly, the Thumb attachment is typically used on the lower back treating “trigger points” for pain relief. I found that if I used a combination of all three attachments for problem areas where I experienced tension or pain, it slowly dissipated over time. The lightweight Theragun Relief “Percussive Massager” didn’t fatigue my hands or arms when I used it. The outer shell the massager is made of dense plastic for durability. The triangular shape allows for gripping in different ways when you massage the body. It is well balanced and easy to change the three attachments. The outside part of the triangular handle has small rubber circles along with the plastic for grip. The rubber areas definitely could have been larger. The plastic is slick to the touch, and it would have been more useful to have the small rubber circles much bigger. This is not a game changer but a benefit that could have helped when using the “Percussive Massager.” The Theragun Relief is light and easy to use. The main areas that are targeted are the neck area, lower back area and the legs area (feet, calves, hamstrings and hips). Included in the box for each target area are 3 “cue cards.” Each card shows in detail how to use the Theragun Relief for those sore or pain areas on your body. For example, the “cue card” reducing neck tension, provides the time, attachment and grip with illustrations of the proper technique. After completing the instructions on how to use the “Percussive Massage” device, I felt better, if only a little bit at first. I found if I used the Theragun Relief in the morning, afternoon and before bed, my body was more relaxed. The little aches I have had seem to slowly heal over time. I can’t say enough about the improvement I feel in my body overall. A nice feature for the Theragun Relief is the companion App. You can download from the QR code with your phone’s camera and go to the link. You choose the device you have and what areas need attention. The App will setup a plan for you to use with the “cue cards.” This designated help from the App can be very helpful in relieving some sore or painful parts of your body. If you don’t want to use the App, you can also use the “cue cards” for parts of your body that need tension relief. Use both the App and “cue cards” or use them individually. The Theragun Relief is great device for getting rid of tension in the body. With a quiet but powerful motor, relaxing the muscles and providing stress relief, you can alleviate some of those aches and pains. This device is impressive for its size, battery life, triangular shape for gripping and its ability to aid in a healthy lifestyle.

After using the Theragun Relief for a few weeks, I am blown away by its effectiveness in alleviating muscle soreness and tension. As someone who leads an active lifestyle and regularly engages in intense workouts, this device has become an essential part of my recovery routine. The Theragun Relief's ergonomic design and customizable speed settings make it easy to target specific muscle groups with precision. Whether I'm dealing with tightness in my shoulders, soreness in my legs, or any other muscular discomfort, the Theragun Relief provides immediate relief and helps speed up my recovery process. I particularly appreciate the QuietForce Technology, which minimizes noise without compromising on power. Powerful Welcomed Addition to TheraGun's System

Little history first… Have happily been using the original TheraGun Elite for three years, it is the only massage “power tool” that I have found to work for my thick tight muscles. Have tried many. During recent two months of PT therapy, I brought my original TheraGun to the clinic, my PT, who has doctorial in Physical Therapy highly approved and used each session as part of my therapy routine. It was wonderful. As much as I love my Elite model, had wished for a smaller lighter model that I could easily manage and use myself, reaching difficult areas like the lower back, upper shoulders, and neck area. TheraGun must have been listening as they have just released their latest entry into the into the PT field. Enter TheraGun Relief! A brilliantly powerful massage therapy in a lightweight small form factor that is easy to personally handle. The Elite is fantastic, though you really need another to run the therapy appliance for back muscles manipulation. With TheraGun Relief I can now massage many of the areas that need manipulation and relief most. Inside TheraGun Relief box it states: “Refresh your legs” “Reduce neck tension” “Relieve lower back pain” That was my first impression, it is spot on. If you have an Elite, or buy one it is nice that the attachments are compatible. If you compare the TheraGun models to other knock offs you will see immediately there is a vast difference in design, engineering, and build. My PT told me they had a few knock offs in the clinic, he was not impressed and bottom-line they do not perform and to me do not appear to be reliable. My Elite has been going strong for three years. If you are looking for massage gun therapy that works, give TheraGun Relief a good look. It delivers.

I have seen different massage devices all over and used a few of them. But, Therabody is the one to own. If you are looking for an amazing percussive massage device you want this one. I did some work in my yard, my hand hurts, my legs hurt. It was a lot. I used this and you know that ow, but in a good way feeling? That’s this. You can feel it working, and know that it’s doing a good job. Makes you see you needed a massage more than you realized. This comes in outstanding packaging that could serve as storage for all of it. A nice box with a QR code to download their app, and even has some cards for suggested massaging exercises for our most needed body areas like neck. It includes 3 different massage attachments, standard, thumb, & dampener, and has 3 different percussive speeds. Awesome feature is there’s no cord! Charge it up and it’s ready to go. Lights show you what speed you are on as well as whether it’s fully charged or not. Mine is a nice blue color as well. Overall this a great tool that is easy to use and feels great. I highly recommend!

The Relief is a new model of percussive massager from Therabody. It came with three different attachments; the standard ball, the thumb, and the dampener. Also included a usb-c charge cable. Battery life is claimed to be 120 minutes, I charged the device when it arrived almost a week ago and haven’t needed to charge it again yet, even with two of us using it every day. It has simple controls, only one button. Long press the button to turn it on or off, short press the button while it’s on to adjust the speed. If you short press the button while it’s off a LED will turn on to show you the state of charge. Therabody claims it reduces tension and increases blood flow so I’ve been using the thumb attachment on my lower back to help loosen it up. I think it’s been helping so I’ll keep using it. My wife likes to use the dampener on her feet and lower legs, she said she feels that it’s been relieving the DOMS she was experiencing a day after her gym workout. The triangle handle allows me to have a comfortable grip in about any position, the only place I can’t reach is the center of my back so the wife has to help.

Finally - Night Leg Cramp Relief!

    |
    Tech Insider Network Member
    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

BACKGROUND: I am a 72-year-old “grandpa” who tries to keep up with my two grandsons (6 & 3). Also, I spend a few days each week with “yard work” maintaining a half-acre property. Add to that mix is my 2-mile power walking about 4 days a week. All of those activities will tend to push me to my physical limits, and at night it is not uncommon to wake up with either or both of legs all cramped up (aka: nocturnal leg cramps). Specifically, my calf and/or thigh muscles. SOLUTION: I have tried other methods to alleviate my leg cramps, both proactive and reactive, none of which have had quick or lasting results until I tried the Theragun Relief percussive massage tool. This device is now my new best friend. It only took a few minutes of massaging my thigh and calf to completely eliminate my muscle cramping. Best part is, I am able to return to sleeping, and without re-waking with the leg cramps returning. DEVICE: This newly designed Theragun Relief model is what I would consider an economical entry level addition to their lineup of percussive massage devices competing with the numerous “copycat” percussive massage devices currently flooding the market space. It is somewhat smaller and lighter than their flagship units and without any “bells and whistles”. Although it does include three different sized ball attachments, a USB-C to USB-C charging cable, and some instruction flash cards. Simplicity at its best! USE: Couldn’t be easier. Choose an appropriate ball attachment (Standard, Dampener, Thumb), power on, select one of the three available speeds, and apply the ball end to the muscle group that requires attention. Now I found the low-speed setting, with the Dampener ball, to be perfect for eliminating my legs cramps. POWER: This device has four LED’s indicators. A Green LED is incorporated into the power button. Short pressing the power button toggles power ON/OFF without activating the massage function. Long pressing the power button activates the massage function in low intensity (1 White LED). Then you can step through the three intensity settings with additional short presses (2 White LED’s medium intensity, 3 White LED’s high intensity). To turn off this device, just long press the power button. CHARGING: When connected to a power adapter (not included), the Green power LED will pulsate from light to dark indicating charging mode. As previously mentioned, the package includes a charging cable (USB-C to USB-C), but it does not include an actual charger. Although this is not an issue for my use (I already have too many chargers), it may be for others who don’t have an existing USB-C charger. APP: There is a “Therabody Application” that can be downloaded (scan the QR code) to access additional guided routines beyond the supplied flash-card routines. Good to know. RATING: A solid 5-Stars for this entry level, economical, percussive massage device when comparing to similar entry level devices.

    Simple, Effective, Affordable Pummeling Massager

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Therabody Theragun has always been the top tier pummeling massager. With the Theragun Relief, you get all the advantages with none of the frills that you never use anyway. The biggest difference between the Relief and the higher priced models is that the Relief is not 'app-enabled'. You can use the app for help and massage programs, but it doesn't control the gun. It comes with a smaller assortment of massage heads than the more expensive models and the throw is slightly shorter (10mm vs 16mm). There are three heads included. The dampener for massage around bones (ie., knees or hips) or where you want a softer touch, the standard head for general massage, and the thumb head for simulating a thumb massage (ie., back and neck). I am a cyclist and ride upwards of 100 miles in a day. Over a weekend I might double that. The Theragun Relief is a welcome end to the ride, especially when I'm riding distance two or three days in a row. I use the Relief on my quads and calfs after a long ride to relax and stretch the muscles, which seems to really speed recovery. I use the recommended two minute interval on each muscle group. I've also used it after weight training sessions where I'm really more apt to overdo it. The Relief is dead simple to use. Charge it up via the usb-c port and pick a massage head. There is one button to start, stop, and select speed. Hold it for three seconds to start, touch again to select the speed, and go. When you're done, hold the button again to stop. It's small enough to easily pack for trips, or to carry with you to the gym. Overall, I'm really glad I got the Theragun Relief, it's perfect for my needs and I find it really makes a difference. The small size and battery operation make it good for both extended travel and day trips. Definitely recommend it for your consideration.
