Love this refrigerator! It holds its temperature consistently, has ample room inside to fit all day to day groceries plus room for party platters, etc and the stainless steel interior is easy to clean. It also looks like a beautiful show piece in the kitchen.

Looks beautiful in the kitchen and feels really premium. The shelves are flexible, cooling is super even, and the doors close with a nice solid feel. Smart features are easy to use and the handles make it look very high-end. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

My wife and I are very pleased with our new Thermador! It replaces a Monogram built-in that lasted about 14 years before it developed a very slow refrigerant leak. Though this unit is also 36" in width, it is about 1.5 cu ft smaller storage capacity than our outgoing fridge. The space reduction is notable, but the layout of the interior has so far accommodated our groceries with some room to spare, so I will say the storage design is very efficient. Aesthetically the unit is very sleek, with minimal exterior lines since there is no exterior motor compartment door. The grade of stainless steel used on the exterior is remarkably more resistant to fingerprints than the prior unit, so that's a plus as well. Be aware that since the motors (there are two compressors on this unit, one each dedicated to the fridge and the freezer, vs the typical single compressor cooling both the fridge and the freezer) are located on the bottom, the fridge and freezer compartments are located relatively higher from the floor than built-ins with the motor compartment on top. This results in a higher reach to the top shelf in the fridge. Even though the three horizontal fridge shelves are of course adjustable, there is a fairly limited range to move the shelves relative to one another and still keep enough height space to store typical taller items (e.g., drink pitchers). An offset to that higher top shelf (which can be a reach for younger persons or just short adults) is that the shelf isn't' too deep since this is a counter-depth unit. Another advantage is that the raised freezer isn't as low of a reach to the bottom of the lower tray, so a little less bending down. Functionally, if you haven't had a French Door unit before, there is an adjustment. Our prior unit was a two-door side-by-side freezer/fridge. Even though each French door can open independently of the other, you may find yourself opening both doors a lot of the time. This happens for me when I'm not sure what side of the fridge something is stored on, and I start opening the wrong side first. Or I'm just looking in the fridge to see what I may want, or to see where something I'm putting in may fit. I mention this because in those (frequent) cases, you're standing there with the fridge wide open, and letting cold air out fast. You have to train yourself to get in and get out if you don't want your temperature fluctuating wildly. The handy bluetooth temp notification feature made me realize how often this actually happens. Not a big deal, but again, for awareness. Like many other reviewers here, Best Buy's built-in refrigerator installation services took MULTIPLE iterations to finally get us to an installed unit (more than 6 appointments). Most failed attempts were due to either sending the wrong type of crew, or not sending enough members in the crew to lift the refrigerator (the unit weighs approximately 700 pounds). Once finally installed, my water line was also pinched, so the ice maker barely functioned. That resulted in another round of 3 appointments to finally get the proper crew who could de-install the unit and pull it forward to sort out the water line. TIP: these units have very little space behind them to accommodate the water line once the unit is slid into position. If your ice maker line connection/shutoff is behind the unit (as was mine) instead of in a cabinet beside the unit (as the manual illustrates), then the solution I used to both have access to the shutoff AND prevent the water line from being pinched was to cut a small (1.25") circular hole in the lower cabinet *beside* the refrigerator. Feed the water line from your connector through this hole, and then back out through the same hole and connect to your refrigerator. As the refrigerator is slid back into the cabinet during installation, the excess water line can be pulled through the hole into the side cabinet to ensure that it is not kinked or run over by the refrigerator. This also allows you to place an in-line shut-off valve that you also access via this side cabinet so that you can still shut off the water to the refrigerator despite not having access to the primary in-wall shutoff valve in the wall behind the fridge. The excess water line and its inline valve in the side cabinet can be coiled up with a twist or zip tie and kept out of the way on the rear wall of the cabinet - problem solved! Final notes: as others have also noted here, the unit is exceedingly quiet in operation. Despite having two compressors, you'll be hard pressed to hear them shut on or off. The ice maker makes copious amounts of ice (once you get the kink out of your water line!). You can hear ice dropping when the tray is low. ANOTHER TIP: if you can hear the ice maker filling up with water, it is because you have the water line valve opened too far (and it can be VERY loud in this case). This is another instance where having your water shutoff valve accessible to you after the unit is in place is vital. An adjustment trick I figured out to find the right quiet level of water pressure for the icemaker water intake: let the icemaker fill up the tray completely. Then adjust your water shutoff valve down by a quarter turn. Take out a full scoop of ice from the tray (toss it in the sink if you don't have use for that much ice at the moment). Close the freezer door. About 25 seconds later you should hear the icemaker dump a fresh batch of ice. About 20 seconds after that, listen for the icemaker itself to open the internal water inlet to refill the ice tray. If it's still too loud, wait until the ice tray tops up again and repeat the process. You'll eventually notice that you will adjust to the point where you barely hear the water inlet filling the ice tray. You may possibly go too far and notice your ice cubes getting smaller than usual - find the sweet spot between little/no noise with still normal-sized ice cubes. Overall I definitely recommend this unit for its style, quiet operation, and features. I'm still confident at this point that it should really go the distance in terms of build quality and manufacturing sophistication (Thermador's reputation is stellar). Hopefully your delivery wait time to receive is much shorter than when we bought (took 9 months). Be prepared for an arduous installation process unfortunately, but I still give the product itself 5 stars.

We’re very happy with this one - modern design with lots of open space, shelves and drawers for separation. The freezer drawer is a simple design and very practical to use. It’s extremely quiet, cools fast and we love the self closing feature. It is on the pricy side but hope the durability prove its worth.

Beautiful refrigerator that is truly counter depth. The dual compressors actually do work to keep food fresh and frozen food free of ice crystals. It is very expensive for the amount of cubic feet though.

Great looking but not worth all that money that we paid. It took a 3 tries to have it installed, and we used professional installers, they could not install, then the water line was pushed too much and no ice was making
