Overpriced clunky unit that always breaks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this Thermador oven as it was one of the very few 30” steam ovens on the market. Steam function did not work from the day of installation as it could not detect water, after 2 months and 3 different control board replacements steam function finally started to work. After a month unit started descaling (without a way to abort) and just stopped working but this time entirely (only digital clock works). Thermador’s service provider did 3 more attempt to repair, replaced 5 more boards without any success and requested unit replacement which Thermador denied asking to do more attempts. Fast forward to today. I had this unit from January to November it only worked a month, 15 different parts had been replaced and it still broken. Can no longer return to the store and Thermador is just waiting for me to run out of patience. So unless you want super expensive drawer with digital clock & pleasure of meeting service providers I would stay away from it.
