I bought this for editing on a MacBook Pro. This is nice being able to swap out drives for different projects. The only thing I'd recommend is sticking with SSD (which we should be now anyways), as others get too hot without a fan. I'll be picking up another soon though with USB-C interface.

The hard drive docking station works for both small and big hard drives. I was able to retrieve my old documents from my old laptop and desktop that crashed. I fixed the desktop hard drive to save me from buying another one and crushed the laptop hard drive since the laptop is broke also. It's worth the price instead of paying someone to fix it for you and keep it until you need it again.

Works perfectly with any hard drive I dock in it. Sometimes you need to clone or copy from a desktop drive, and the sata to usb adapter cables don't provide enough power, so you need an enclosure, which requires you mount the drive and assemble the unit. This dandy device does the trick with no tools required, addresses each drive separately, and supports cloning one drive to another.

It transferred the files from my old Mac hard drive to my new one! It was really easy and I had no trouble using it. I highly recommend this product to anyone faced with the loss of their data...I am not a tech guru and just plugged it in and followed the directions. Thanks to the helpful Best Buy staff for recommending it, explaining how it works and giving me the confidence to try it!

Mine older has 2.0 might not work well with Window 10. I got new it work better than old one. No issue yet.

Did the job, but it only lasted about 2 years. Naturally, it stopped working not long after the warranty expired. It turns on, but drives disconnect a few seconds after connecting. I've checked it with different hard drives and on different computers - same thing. The hard drive works fine in a different enclosure. The other thing I always found odd is that plugging it into a wall outlet would always make a spark. I'm thinking maybe the power supply is failing.

Did not know this product existed until searching BestBuy for a hard drive. Works great. When powered up computer recognizes USB device as a hub. Drop your existing bare SATA hard drives into it and system recognizes the disk(s) and contents. Great for copying older or back up data or making copies of a disk. Hot swappable just like any USB device. Great value for a unique tool.

This product saved me a lot of problems when my laptop essentially died, I was able to access all the info on the hard drive retrieved from it.

I was able to save the drives from my old computer and still use the software and data files without having to start from scratch. I was also able to recover drives from old externals drives that I had thought had died. Just the power part of those drive had died, but the hard drive part still worked ins this docking station.

I have a lot of hard drives to work with this product. It works great.

My Laptop overheated and was unable to access any of the files. I read a review showing that the "Thermaltake - BlacX Duet Hard Drive Enclosure Docking Station could recover files from the Hard Drive. It was easy to use. Just plug it in to outlet and one to USB to computer and then slip the old hard drive removed from laptop into the slots and was able to remove all files.

I only had issue with led colors, i would think each led represent a HHD Number device. Good device and good speed if you have USB 3.0 in your computer.

Broke the case on my portable drive and needed this to get to the data. Works great.

Great device for cloning and removable backups. Has some strange usb3 disconnecting on occasion.

Very happy with the dual hard drive docking station. Works just as advertised. Even after knocking off my desk, it still works great!

This was great, setup is easy and it is flexible to use with multiple hard drives. We had a PC failure and it allowed me to quickly recover files off the hard drive. We had another PC with a hard drive failure and it even let me recover files from the failed hard drive.

Just what I needed it to do, and for not a lot of cash. Better than most brands out there, which fail right out of the box. THIS ONE ACTUALLY WORKS!
