I often fix computers for older people at my church. One of the tasks when their computer's no longer boots is to retrieve their non-backed up data. I had an older USB2 tool that was always torture to set up and perform this task. I love the fact that I can just plug in the drives and copy at the mucho, mucho faster USB3 rates! Truly a wonderful device.

Works very well. Got this on sale, right before Christmas. Makes a great gift.

Had our home PC crash over the summer and needed to pull a lot of stored data on our hard drive. Went to Best Buy geek squad to see if they could save the info. After talking with them for a while they pointed me to this docking station. Cost less than what it would of geek squad was going to charge and was able to get all the data off I needed to. Now if you are afraid to open up your PC or laptop then I would not recommend this item which is why I am giving it 4 stars. You do need to pull the old hard drive out to dock it into the port. But I have done this before so I was comfortable doing this. Has worked on more than one PC hard drive as well. Was worth the buy.

Plain simple easy to use. Plus it has a great price.

Good Product, a bit slow when copying from one disk to another with both are on the dock.

This is an awesome product. If you want to upgrade hard drives, all you need to do is put the new hard drive in the caddy and then click clone. It reboots your computer and clones the hard drive in an hour or so. Then you just replace the current hard drive with the newly cloned hard drive and your computer is working like normal.

Works fine for accessing data from my old hard drive to transfer to the replacement drive. I have no experience with any other docking stations with which to compare, so I cannot offer much of an objective opinion, other than this one worked for me!

Easy set up and was truly plug and play. Used 2, 3TB WD Black drives and worked like a champ. 6TB backup space in less than 15 minutes.

Great to be able to now access two hard drives externally. I leave it plugged in and turned on so that whenever I turn on my PC it is ready for automatic backups. I wish the LEDs weren't so bright. They light up the entire room when I leave it on...

I have had several of these in the past and they all worked fine. This one however, seems to drop offline for some reason and becomes unavailable to me again until I do a restart of the computer. Not sure if the problem is with the docking station.

I bought this to replace a model that lasted for almost ten years (this one), so it definitely will last you a long time.

I only use one(1) port — of the two — with a hard drive that I removed from a MacBook Pro. So far, its working great!

Got this to migrate my files off an old HDD in my iMac to and new SSD. No setup nor drivers were required. I simply insert the new drive and plug in the power cord and USB cord.... the system recognized it right away as an external drive and I was ready to move my files after formatting the drive. The transfer rate was USB3 speeds.

Bought this to access hard drives from old computers. The sales clerk was very helpful in guiding me to this product.

i use the hard drive adapter most everyday and i have had no troubles with it working with any drives i have used

I run a small music studio and the best way to get sued is to lose a client's tracks to hard drive failure. Swapping between clients' projects is EASY with a device like this. Worth the small price for peace of mind and not getting sued!

My old hard drive crashed I put a new SSD in as a replacement but I needed to get data off my old drives. This worked perfect.

Use is limited .but it worked good for that use. Sale price made it a worthwhile buy.
