I had recent laptop die with two 2TB hard drives, having no external storage prior to failure the docking station was a great fit to ensure a complete systems back up for replacement laptop. Works great, backed up 2 other computers by just plugging in the supplied USB cable. Nothing to install so makes for a quick job.

I purchased this hard drive docking station to transfer the contents of the hard drive from my last computer whose motherboard had failed. It was easy to plug in and works well. There are ports to accommodate two separate drives and are easily switchable. I'm now using the station as an external storage unit.

My old laptop gave out and had all my pictures on it. I couldn't get past a blank screen to be able to retrieve my photos. This device was able to extract them from the hard drive. I was so happy. Hopefully I will never have to use it again, but would gladly buy it a second time if my pictures were at stake.

This works gemreat for my storage expansion needs. It seems to work better than some of my external drives.

Works wonders, fits any size drive and usb transfer is fast

Although the first few versions of this product (USB 2.0 & eSATA) had disconnect issues, the current versions (USB 3.0) are working flawlessly. If you work on computers or are an IT professional, this hard drive dock is a must have.

I looked at each store for this and each were sold out. This dock is perfect for what I needed it for fast and quick.

IT works. It's speedy. Only issue I have are some laptop hdd come with brackets that won't allow it to fit into the unit. Might recommend getting the simple cable connector over this if you plan on testing different drives on it..

Looks a bit unappealing but does it job. Dual harddrive is a plus

Purchased this as my mother board in my desktop fried. I was told that they needed to reformat my HD. I told them to replace and send it to me. Best wanted $160 to copy the HD. Purchased this for $60 and do it myself.

This product is very easy to use with my Mac I highly recommend to anyone.

I wish it had capabilities without using Windows but it doesn't

My old PC power supply died, but that was all. It wasn't worth fixing as I already had a replacement PC. While buying other items I spotted this gem. Pop your old SATA drive in like toast, switch it on and it's another drive. Looks like a toaster, works like a dream. Finally! Great price too.

My hard drive was acting up and my all-in-one only has one drive bay. I needed an external usb 3.0 device to get things fixed. Bought this. I used it to set up my new drive from a backup. Worked fine.

So this seems like a cheap enclosure and not solid enough to have frequent eject and insert moments, but that's not what I was using it for. My solid state drive fits fine, just didn't make any assuring click or seating feel. It did not power on the first time I tried it so I had to reseat the drive to try it again. I'll be prepared to use it on dying computers and hard drives in the future and potentially saving the data. For now, I'll use it as an external drive for video editing on an older laptop and the solid state drive I got for that purpose. It seemed to work great with no dropped frames.
