Great for transferring data from one hard drive zd

Been using it for about 2 months now with no issues.

Only had it for less than 6 months and the unit has filed to power on. Waiting for the replacement but the fact it failed so early in it's life is not making me happy.

Had an earlier version of this product a few years back and it was horrible, wouldn't connect had problems with hard drives, slow when it did connect. but this one is the exact opposite. It works beautifully, they fixed all the flaws. Great Product!

This device is what you need to access additional hard drives via a USB port. Just plug the Hard Drive in, push the power button and you're ready to go. It's that easy. I also used it to CLONE and COPY my old hard drive to a new Solid State hard drive. Now my computer boots up in ~ 6 seconds.

I bought one and had connection problems. Returned the unit and decided to try a second one. It works fine now. I use the drives as backups, this way I can turn the unit off and not worry about losing my data.

Bought this to replace a 15 year old unit I had. Nice unit and works great. Put one of each size drive in or both of the same size or just one drive, turn it on and it works. Use it to save customers data during a rebuild or installing a new PC and moving data from the old drive to the new PC.

I am in the process of evaluating the thermaltake duet drive docking station. I have been having issues when trying to format two drives at once. I have been able to view info from two drives at one. and both connections work for both 3.5 and 2.5 inch drives and sata ssds. it is not that fast when using usb2. and much slower than sata. the plastic spacer that is spring loader to cover the opening when using 2.5inch drives is not sturdy, I expect these to break in future. I would like to add more at a later date but may not be able to.

I bought this because I had an external drive crash. None of my pc's could see the drive through the OEM drive via USB. I cracked the case open, removed the drive and inserted it into the docking station. My pc was able to see the drive in RAW and I could then use recovery software to get my data.

This product is awesome . When my desktop was broken I though I lost all of my data. I have searched bestbuy site for hard disk readers I saw this product and bought it after I plugged in hard drive it immediately detected my hard drive. I was able to take backup of all of my data without any issue.

If you need to turn internal hard drives into external hard drives, this is the item to use. I had absolutely no problem reading a 2.5" solid state and a 3.5" SATA hard drive. It worked fast to transfer almost 90 gigabytes of data over a USB 3.0 connection. I recommend this product to everyone.

I was concerned on losing my data from a previous laptop so I bought this product. It was a little tricky getting the drive to sit in the slot but I eventually was able to get it worked in just a few minutes.

We made the mistake of relying on the recommendation of the sales staff and geek squad rep. No complete instructions come with the docking station and the rep said"this isn't the model we use, but they really do a good job"

Because the item was so thin, it took some effort to insert and eject the hard drive. It would have been better if it were of heavier material so as to remain stationary while inserting and ejecting drives.

I bought this to dock my internal hard-drive that I purchased as an additional way to backup my files. It worked very well, didn't have issues with the enclosure its self. Wasn't the best looking in my opinion, but functionality was great. I ended up returning it as I returned the hard drive.

I purchased this product to transfer information from an old computer I had but was unable to due to hard drives being incompatible. I'm giving 5 stars because this is one of the best on the markets I just needed a different model to transfer information.

I have always liked the product line, and this not only meets expectations but has a smooth sleep and wake function that allows for easy access to data without leaving the drives running all the time. Fast spin up and zero setup make this a good product for storage or just working on drives!

As I'm writing this, I'm looking at this Thermaltake docking station standing by my Thermaltake tower case filled with Thermaltake fans. I'm a fan. The dock worked flawlessly for me, and I was able to read two drives at the same time. If I had to, I would buy this again.

This thing is very nice and speedy, would highly recommend for any PC builders out there to check and clear hard drives when needed. You can also sometimes use it to try and recover lost data.

Easy to use, I was unable to accomplish my goal but for and easy peasy transfer-this works. Could likely purchase a cable for less, and have the same result.
