    This was a very slick item. I originally went looking for an enclosure for a hard drive so that I could look at files without having install it. Well the problem for me is that enclosures are fine if you plan on putting it in once and never (or seldom) take it back out. For me, working on computers for friends and family, I change them out more often than not. This gave me the option of up to two drives of same or different sizes; how can you beat that? USB 3 is an added bonus.

    Very easy to use for formatted or copying any size hard drive. Desktop and Laptop SATA drives supported. First unit failed after a couple of days of use. BestBuy quickly replaced the bad unit and has been working great since.

    My review for this drive would be better if I would be able to use. However, the 3.0 USB card that I recently purchased that was quote guaranteed to work with windows 10 has yet to work other than that I have nothing negative to say. I will say that the instructions that come with it are quite thorough. The drives insert and the jack quite easily. Just note to self make sure you know where the eject button is. The packaging is green equals very reduced so there's very little to throw away. And also the power cord as well as the USB cable are all included and are not as friendly as some products have previously included.

    I needed to pull some information from the drive of an old desktop pc, and this did the trick. Being able to connect both 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch drives to my laptop with one USB port made migration easy. The only problem is if you plan to use it regularly, the LED lights on the power switch are bright enough to light a runway at the airport at night.
