black X box is an excellent product to copy hard driver to transfer files with out installing inside a pc or the need of a enclosure

USB enclosure without the enclosure. I love the idea of being able to quickly swap drives. If you want to back things up and then store a drive away, this would do the trick.... or if you're trying to retrieve data from a failing external drive, you can try to see if taking the HD out and putting it in the dock helps.

Needed a hard drive enclosure to recover data off of a laptop that would not power up. I was able to recover all of my documents,pictures and music. Saved a lot of money doing it myself.

I purchased this unit to copy a hard drive to another system. I was able to easily make a copy of the hard drive and it worked quickly. I also found it easy to see all the files on the original drive and select the ones I wanted to copy and use. I was really pleased with this device.

This was a good item to buy, so I can save all the stuff from my old computer into my new laptop.

I expected the product to be adequate based on the price but i was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to interface with my hard drives and how well it worked. Probably the best experience I have had with respect to this type of hardware I highly recommend it.

I would definitely recommend this product if you're ever in need of this type of product.

After researching various docks online and at Bestbuy.com I picked those one for the features and price. Works great connected to my MAC interfaced smoothly and supported the 2 different size hard drives I connected. Definitely recommend this product.

I needed something like this to format new SSDs to install in my computers. You could get the cord adapter that plugs into a USB3 port but this is a much nicer item to use and even looks nice on your desk. The LED power light is a little bright though.

This product is nice but I can mention two issues: 1) it is a little big, I dont think it might have this size 2) the speed is limited to the USB capability

My wife needed to be able to get files from a dead computer. Researched topic and saw local Best Buy had this item in stock. Purchased it and setup on new computer was very quick. Awesome product and will probably get another for home use.

Was able to read and copy files from my hard drive when my laptop failed.

.....replacing my Manhattan, which was somewhat similar to this -- only the Manhattan had 2 USB2.0 inputs, as well as a SD-CARD reader within the overall interface. Wish this one could have had such....still, runs an SSD flawlessly.

I had a computer crash and needed a way to salvage the files out of the hard drive. This was quick and easy to setup. Just plugged everything in and it just worked. Files transferred over quickly and I was able to save all the data!

This is perfect for Desktop and Laptop SATA hard drive data copying.
