It is a very good replacement for the thermal paste for your cpu cooler.. I clean my aio cpu cooler once in a while so it is always good to have thermal grease in reserve, so far my cpu temp are stable and even when video rendering with Handbrake my temp never go above 45c.. and that is very very good, This is the first time I am using this brand so I have reservation... but so far all the indications are good... so we wait and see. But this is still a better product than some other brands of the same price.

Needed a good thermal paste to repair my PS3. Found this on the Best Buy on-line store and available at my local Best Buy. Inexpensive, easy to apply and comes with plastic spreading tool to get a nice even coating.

IDK if the diamond dust makes a difference, but it was the higher W/m-K versus the the one they had on the shelf next to it, about triple the effectiveness for $2 more. Other was by the Insignia Brand. Using the Corsair H100i v2, with the fans it came with, keeps a Ryzen 1700 at about 35 degrees C in very graphics heavy games. I don't do much that stresses the CPU all that much to raise the temperature more.

There are tons of different types of paste for cpu's i have seen some with diamonds in it but whats makes the difference is not only what its made of its how its applied. If you put to much it will get all over the place as you tighten down your cpu cooler be it a air cooled fan a water cooler or a water block.
So if your doing your first build google cpu paste amount and you can find some very good videos explaining how much to put on and great ways to spread it. I put just a little over a pea sized ball in the center and spread it out to all sides with like a credit card or drivers license. Then once i set the cooler on the cpu before i add the retention spring or screws or any mounting software i twist the cooler back and fourth a few times to the left and right to about a 45 degree turn. Basically this fills in any pits i mite have missed or made while spreading the paste. Then tighten down everything and wipe up and overage on the sides of the cpu but hopefully you should not have any. If you put on to much your better off removing everything wiping it down and start from scratch. You never want to much.

It's amazing that automotive shops do not have heat transfer compound, but neither of the larger "big-box" automotive stores in our area had it, despite that virtually all components such as Ignition Control Modules and such with heat sinks REQUIRE its use and to avoid using it risks overheating and component failure.
Thanks Best Buy! You had two different ones to choose from and this one worked really great!!!

I bought this paste to see if it would help with the overheating problem I was having with my cpu. I built my computer in 2014 and reapplied thermal paste since I built it. My closed loop liquid cooler fans kept going into high speed cooling when temps were low to mid range. After I reapplied the thermal paste the fans only goes into high speed cooling in the mid to high temps.

Our self-built PC was having some heating issues so we decided to redo the paste. What we had on hand had been open for 2+ years. Apparently, there is a shelf life for thermal paste. After using this thermal paste, temps were acceptable and the CPU stopped throttling under large workloads.

Way better than stock thermal paste, an investment worth the extra few dollars. I had upgraded to a newer processor and needed more thermal paste to connect my CPU to liquid-cool system. The thermal paste comes in a syringe with a lid so you use it and store it for when you need it again. Also, I didn't notice this when I first was picking it up, but it came with a little spreader tool to make it easier to spread the paste evenly.

You just use this once in the entire life of your computer system but it is so important if you're swapping out the CPU on your computer.
It will definitely keep the CPU run cooler. I mean who builds a system without a thermal paste?
You know who you are. If think you need one of these, just get it from the BestBuy store. They always have these.
