I bought this item at the store. I gave it best chance. Before Thermaltake, I used Active Silver on CPU from my laptop and it was ok. I had compared between Active Silver and Thermaltake thermal paste. The Active Silver on cool CPU was 43 degree. The Thermaltake on cool CPU was 35 degree. That what I shock. You don't have to regret to buy this item. Best Thermal product is Thermaltake.

Used this thermal paste as a repaste on my i5 2500k when temps were approaching 80 degrees C under load. The syringe made it easy to control and place the paste right where I needed it. Temps went from near 80 to 65 simply from using this high quality paste.

Compared to the thermal paste that came with the computer initially(came from a custom outfit) this stuff works significantly better. With this paste I was getting my standard under full load temperature I get in Winter on a hot Summer day. If you buy a pre-built or have a machine custom made from some place(IBuyPower, CyberPowerPC, etc...) it might be worth it to go ahead and replace the paste they use.

In the desperate need of compound as quickly as I could get my hands on a supply due to my forgetting to restock on my stash of paste, I researched quite a few thermal paste products that were LISTED on the site as supposedly being available in my nearest store. Upon arrival to the store and locating the isle (which wasn't easy and floor representatives weren't sure either), I found this product to be the ONLY one of its kind remaining and the ONLY thermal compound product in the entire isle. I Had no choice. In the need of said item with no other options, with my PC throwing in the towel attempting to combat the summer climate, to my surprise the Thermaltake thermal compound MORE than exceeded my expectations and didn't even have me think twice about if was close to or just as thorough in efficiency as my regular go-to compound substance (prolimatech pk-3).

I used this when replacing a Ryzen 5 1400 with a Ryzen 5 2600. I did not use the cooler that came with the new cpu, but reused the old cooler master cooler that was used with the old cpu. I honestly don't know if this stuff is good or bad, but temperatures were still good on new cpu and machine is stable. I do not overclock. Honestly, I just needed thermal paste for a cpu swap and out of the 3 choices available in store this was the middle choice. The dissipation rating of this paste was closer to the higher tier choice than the lower tier choice. It worked for my needs.

I have a bad habit of rubbing off the built on compound found on CPU heat sinks before mounting them. Thank God this is stocked in the stores! Thermaltake is a great brand and I've bought 10 of their items all in stock at Best Buy in the last two months. I recommend that any system builder have a tube of this on hand "just in case". It works just as good as the original.

So this review will be short and sweet. My 9 year old desktop (I know for shame) had started making more noise due to the CPU fan kicking in to high so I decided to reapply some thermal paste. This thermal paste. It worked no more high RPMs. So this stuff does what its meant for and if you were like me and didnt want to wait and get some from online retailers, here you go.

bought this to replace the thermal paste on all three of my consoles. After viewing guides on how to disassemble my xbox x and pro, I dove in and cleaned them and replaced the paste. My consoles are running much quieter now. They needed this new paste. I say it was worth it!

used on a build for my nephew was easy to use. and keeps his over clocked cpu nice and cool.
