No problems I’ve had the Pc for over a year now and it’s still going strong plus it comes with a manufacturer warranty so it’s perfect and brings a pc together with the rgb.

Always had good experiences with these power supplies. Upgraded from a 750w to accommodate stronger components, and no complaints with either unit. Solid psus with rgb

DOA - 12v2 not functional.

Bought this for a PSU that died during a move. Thought I’d grab a quick fix but looks like this one is DOA as well. No lights of power on first boot. Reset cables tried again. No dice. Tested it on PSU tester and confirmed main 12v2 is dead. See pics for details. Will try with a different one tomorrow but wish I could buy a good brand like Seasonic from my brick and mortar Best Buy.

Great PSU. Got it on sale for 99. Paired with an i7 13700kf and a rx 7900 xt, it's more than enough. It has self ventilation, it's modular and also has rgb for who cares about it.

This power supply is amazing, with the addressable rgb you can choose what color you want, BETWEEN, R, G, B and White, or you can have it cycle to display all its 256 RGB colors. it has smart zero fan technology that turns on when needed which helps in the overall life cycle of the fan. This power supply is also very quiet and comes with all the cords you need. In terms of power this is more than plenty for all your builds and also the 850 is great for future proofing as its more than enough for all your PC NEEDS!! I definitely recommend this!!

I picked this up for a new build. The build was stuttering often with games. The other power supply i had was corsair cm 850. Switching to this and i am able to overclock a 10900k to 5.5ghz and get 19ghz memory with a nice overclock on clocks. Not only does it look nice, it power an rtx 3080 with a 10900k overclocked like mad. 100% recommend. It also has rgb and a silent mode. Build can be whisper quiet.

The installation instructions could be more informative. It doesn't tell you which cables goes to which components. You pretty much have to match the connector to the plug. The cables are not sleeved either. Other than that the power supply has been reliable.

If yo use a Battery Backup, DO NOT BUY THIS PSU

Ok, I bought mine through BestBuy and I will be posting this exact review there as well. I do not normally do reviews but I feel that in order to save you some money and headache, you should be made aware of this issue, which retailers fail to display in their product description. This is my biggest gripe with the product. It should have in big bold letters that it is NOT compatible with most Battery Backup Units!
Usability, this thing WAS great. I had no problems with it powering my computer. I've always used Thermaltake for my PSU needs. THIS time, Thermaltake decided to create a VERY sensitive unit. When you are using a Battery Backup Unit, you have to make sure that it is 100% PURE SINE WAVE! The average normal Battery Backups do not provide PURE SINE WAVE. I bought 3 different power supply units and none of them kept my computer on during power failure. I did contact Thermaltake and wrote them this:
Product Name : Thermaltake ToughPower Grand RGB 850W
Product Model : TPG-0850F-R
Detailed Description : What Battery Backup System is the Power Supply compatible with? I have bought 3 different CyberPower battery back up units: CyberPower Intelligent LCD 1500VA UPS Model:CP1500AVRLCD CyberPower 1500VA Battery Back-Up System Model:LX1500GU CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS System, 1500VA/1000W, 12 Outlets, AVR, Mini Tower They are all not able to keep the computer on when the power goes out. I spoke with CyberPower and they advised me that several Thermaltake PSU's lately do not like their units and that they are only having this issue with the Thermaltake PSU. So what battery backup will keep my PC on? This is getting ridiculous and I'm spending money needlessly here! I've ALWAYS bought Thermaltake and I swear by it. But this is starting to question whether I need to start using another brand.
Their response was:
CS02 (Thermaltake Technology)

Our Power supplies are extremely picky when it comes to UPSes and they will only work with a true pure sine wave UPS. A true pure sine wave UPS is upwards of $400 USD and the 3 models you have listed I believe use step sine wave rather than pure sine wave. Unfortunately we are not able to make any recommendations as to which UPS to use however please try contacting your preferred UPS vendor and see if they could recommend you a true pure sine wave UPS.

So I contacted CyberPower and the guy on the phone stated they didn't make those type of battery backups and that since they don't have the specs for that Thermaltake model, they can't work on a solution for it. I called TrippLite and the guy on the phone, who seemed pretty arrogant, sarcastic, and cocky, said that they make Pure Sine Wave battery backups and that they run about $500-$600 a piece (I needed 2, one for me and one for the wife).
I returned the Thermaltakes back to best buy and bought a different PSU for each computer for just $60 more. To me it was smarter to just spend an extra $60 than a whopping minimum of $1,000 on 2 Pure Sine Wave battery backups.

A bit more power than I needed, but it was what was available at the time and I needed it in a hurry. Build quality is very nice. Its quiet and the installation was smooth with all the required cables. I've put together 15-20 different systems with several different mid-level power supply brands...and I think I'm now going to stick with Thermaltake until they give me a reason not to,

Fully modular with plenty of power to spare for my needs. The rgb lights are subtle and provide a nice glow. Fan isn’t too loud even at full load. Overall, if you need 850w then this is a great unit for you.
