I really wanted to like this product and i was excited to use it. When it worked it was kind of neat but unfortunately it left me wanting a better version. My biggest complaint is the battery life. You charge it fully and put it in the drawer and the charge is gone a week later when you are ready to use it. So then you have to leave it plugged in all the time which is annoying. It did not take long for the spikes to not communicate or hold a charge at all. When it was charged and able to work then you must be very careful to place the spike in the meat or it does not read properly. Maybe i didnt have thick enough cuts but several times it read much higher than the meat because it is a pretty thick spike and maybe some of it was too close to the edge. The light up feature on the case is nice and the 1 or 2 times it worked good it was kinda neat, but too inconsistent and annoying to have it die in the drawer so quickly. Hopefully they can make an improved version in the future. If anyone has a recommendation for a better one please let me know!

Great product. Makes a great gift or just an addition to grilling tools. Easy to use and accurate. I would definitely recommend this product

Bought this set on sale after Yummly suddenly shut down. I like that the app is strictly for adjustments of the probes. Though better than the Yummly app was, it isn’t required for use. The base works just fine. I am fairly new to using these. Less than a year in. But so far I do not feel disappointed. 4 stars because I am not excited about the app. Maybe that will change with more usage.

I bought this probes specifically because my wired version is too clumsy to work with. I like the wireless part of these probes and they work great, giving accurate temp readings. I have also read review on this product about the lack of length in the probe itself however I find the length adequate for meats like chicken and turkey alike. I have only used it a couple of times after purchase, so I cannot comment on its longevity.

My only gripe is that the probes are rather large which limits it use and effectiveness on thinner cuts of meat. It works as intended, I try keep open flame off the probes. Use it for grilling, smoking, and cooking in the oven.

First things first...The 3 star rating is for the product not the service provided by best buy. Best buy rating would be 5 stars. I bought this as an upgrade to my old Thermopro wired setup I had for a couple years and sadly could not recommend. Right out of the box I had issues with one of the probes not connecting to the unit. I contacted Thermopro and was send a replacement probe. This replacement probe connected fine until the first smoke. Lost connection to the unit after 5 mins or so. Would not reconnect to the unit at all and had a full battery. Contacted Thermopro again and was sent a whole new replacement unit. Have not had a chance to cook with the new unit but will update this review after a smoke or two. All in all the service I received from customer service at Thermopro was excellent!! Just wished the product held up it's end of the deal.

This thing is the bomb it's way better than my old one very spot on with the temperature

Love new meat probe. Nice not to have to be at the grill while I have a brisket or rib roast cooking. Just check occasionally and feel peace of mind on getting a perfect brisket or roast every time.

Very helpful in the kitchen takes the guess work out cooking large roasts and many other things i these everyday. Would highly recamend

Have used this twice (once for pork and once for beef). Probes were accurate and easy to use/read. Have no complaints and expect these to last for a while. Not much more to say, its a meat thermometer, that does its job and does it well.

Works great. Definitely download the app to get all the features.

Before these thermometers, I had wired ones. Best decision I made in purchasing these!

One of the best meat thermometer I have ever had. When your meat is done and the alarm goes off the whole house will know it's dinner time.

It works very good. Turns on right away. Runs in grill or owen.

First time getting wireless meat thermometers and its the best decision ive ever made its so nice knowing i dont have to be attentive to the food im making and can rely on a oerfect cook everytime as soon as my temp is reached

I had really high hopes for this product… and will likely try exchanging it to see if the issue was isolated/uncommon… but the thermometers stopped working after I used them one time. They won’t wirelessly connect/communicate with the base and it just flashes showing the error/failure. The one time they worked - they were fantastic! I used them in salmon which is easy to overcook on the grill and it came out perfect. Unfortunately, after that one use, they stopped working altogether.

So far, so good! Love that this has a display for temperature on the actual device as opposed to the other brands that have you solely use a phone app.

My Yummly broke after a few years and a new one wasn't available so I tried this one. It has two spikes seemed like a winner. The app is clumsy and irritating. I want it to burn. Apple should make Thermometer! It be over priced for sure but elegant no doubt. Untapped market...anything with wifi that can interact nicely with my phone. :)
