Definitely get the OBD2 connector so no splicing needed. First check if its compatible for your car as this was my second purchase for my 2nd car. It was not compatible with my 2021 accord.

F200 pro is a good lower priced option

Feature wise this a good option. However you have to be careful with the rear camera and GPS ports. If you are not careful the connections binding the port to the circuit board can come loose. So I have to say the camera can be easily damaged if you are not careful when plugging in the rear camera and gps plugs.

I had it installed over a year ago, and never tested the quality of capturing license plates. Now, I looked into it, it's no good.

Works great once I got it wired correctly

Don't let the install tech tell you it is suppose to record continuously even in parking mode. If parking mode is not working correctly they wired it wrong. I actually had to go to a different store to get it wired correctly.

Decent, but not 4k

Works with all the features only if completely wired for which you will need to pay extra. The video is okay quality, but not 4k.
