Customers are positive about the F200 PRO's camera quality, ease of use, and GPS functionality, with many praising the crisp video and straightforward operation. However, customers are negative about the app's performance and potential battery drain issues, particularly when using the parking mode. The installation process is generally considered easy, while opinions on night vision vary. Some users also appreciate the compact size and affordable price.

This is my first dashcam. After spending almost, a month with it and watching a few videos and doing some research I found out that most dashcams actually have the same sensors and cameras it's the software that makes the difference when it comes to nighttime performance and clarity. The overall pros of the dashcam are that it's a very clean and easy setup and it is also pretty small. It may look big in images, but you can easily hide it behind a rear-view mirror which is a plus. The amount of customization you get with the app like being able to set the level of force the g-sensor can detect and the way it overall runs in parking mode or out of parking mode is also great. They also provide good enough image quality and after doing that research I mentioned earlier almost all if not most dash cams will not be able to discern a moving license plate even at a resolution such as 4k. It also comes with a 32GB SD card included which as long as you delete videos and save the ones you need for any reason is a nice bonus ad on and enough storage. Now the not so good about the camera. The main issue is the app. It does take time to adjust to and figure out but even then, the UI is outdated to say the least and it also has its quirks which can make it hard to do certain things. Some of the features provided have no explanation whatsoever which for non tech savvy users already adjusting to this hard to use app can just make the experience worse. I would say that making updates to the app or a new app in general with UI and user-friendliness in mind would be ideal. Overall, the product is great, and I recommend this dashcam to my friends and family and to you guys as well.

The camera(s) work great and installation wasn't hard. However, the mobile app on Android doesn't work. The camera has a wifi hotspot and you connect your phone to it to get videos and change settings. The problem is that the app won't let you do anything when you are connected to the camera because it needs an internet connection. I was able to setup a proxy and got into the app 1 time, but it dropped me out and I gave up. Now I take the memory card inside and hook it to my PC. There's a Windows app hidden on the memory card that lets you change settings and you can view or download videos. So it works overall, but beware if you're on Android. I haven't tested on an iPhone, maybe that actually works without needing a network engineer.

Relatively easy installation. The audio and video quality are decent for the price. Connecting to the app requires you to connect your phone's wifi to the camera's wifi in order to review footage, but this can easily be bypassed by just removing the SD card and watching on a computer. The G-force sensor - the feature where it will automatically save footage when it detects a collision - is pretty sensitive and goes off even when you drive over bumps in the road or go over speed bumps. The size of the actual camera is small enough that it can be hidden pretty well behind the rear view mirror, which is good for keeping a low profile to prevent theft. Overall, good product.

This is great for the price, I got it on sale for $200 I believe. The video quality is good, its super easy to get set up if you want to just plug it into your cigarette lighter, but it also has the option to hardwire it which is what my husband did. We have this for both of our cars now. It's really helpful to be able to use an app to find a recording, that was one of our criterias for a dashcam was it having an app. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the videos are saved in 1 minute increments. This sometimes makes finding the clip your looking for tedious, especially if you had been driving a lot and dont know or remember the exact time of the instance you are looking for. As far as I know you can only download one clip at a time and it does take a little bit but not too long. Playback is very laggy when you dont have the video downloaded, AND when you "download" a video when connected to the dashcam its actually just saving it to the app and you still have to save it separately to your phone once it's been downloaded to the app.

This is like Samsung phone of Dash Cam. I ordered online based on this model has all the features and specs that I looked for. I was pleasantly surprised to find out ThinkWare was made in Korea. The dash cam is very made with slick designs like Samsung phone and quality material. The combo is the best deal, comes with front and rear cam, GPS and hardwire kit. Forget other cheaply made disposal Dash Cam from China, ThinkWare is the one to get at Best Buy. The other worthy Dash Cam at Best Buy is Garmin but they don’t offer rear cam. As Total Tech member, I was able to get dash cam installed free and 2 years extended support. Installer Jose at Torrance store is very and patient, took time to trouble shoot hardwiring connection in my Subaru.

Great item and only thing I would add is wish I could have GPS shown on Phone app other than having to take mini sd card out and having the gps shown on a computer. That is my only negative. In past I have used BlackVue in all my vehicles. I love the item and actually bought the DR900x-2channel to replace an older model DR750. DR900 is a 4k front and 1080p rear. I was frustrated on how it connected where it will take several attempts to do so but I over looked it by the performance of the camera. Long story short, I gambled and tried out Thinkware F200 Pro. It was similiar to DR750 I had. The picture is great, and easy to connect with a quick push of a button. I currently still have it installed and plan on keeping it. I am very particular on picture and connectivity. I can buy two F200 Pro for the price of one Blackvue DR900x. If you like an inexpensive 2 channel dash camera with great picture and control, this is the one for you. Easy to use and easy to operate. Again only negative thing I would have to say is wish while on app you can also see GPS map and also GPS module being built in and not an item that needs to be installed. Hope one day they will be able to add the GPS feature on the the app without having to put another unit.

So far, so good. I wanted a good dashcam, front and rear, and the reviews on this one seemed good. I do wish it recorded in 3 - 5 minute segments, rather than the 1 min it does, but I don't feel this is enough to downgrade. It's easy to set up and change your settings if you desire. And if you got the GPS you have an Advanced Driver Assistance System and Safety Camera Alerts, which is pretty nice. I got it on sale, so it was a really good deal. Oh yeah, it comes with a cigarette lighter and a hard-wire kit. But Geek Squad wanted to use the OBD2 wiring harness. They claimed it is an easier (understandable) and more reliable installation.

great dashcam , i have it on both my work truck and the wife's car, works even when the vehicle is parked, if hit camera will automatically start recording, haven't really figured out all of the features but for the price is a great way to cover yourself in case of an accident, the gps feature will also tell you when you are near a traffic camera.

So far everything works well. The dash cam even lets me know of seed enforcement areas. I do enjoy the easy of using this cam. The one that that I recommend doing is to set the battery cut off on the app. Set it for the lowest to save your vehicle’s battery. I left my car alone for three days and the battery died. Make sure to set the cut off at its lowest so that this doesn’t happen to you.

Easy to install, easy to use and this cameras connectivity is better than previous version. I have the previous version of this or similar camera to this one and it’s a hit or miss to connect to the app at times but this version no issues connects on the first try. Video quality is good. Very easy to use. Straight forward, rear camera is necessary nowadays highly recommend, gps is a plus.

I've been using my Thinkware dashcam for a while now, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. This dashcam comes with a built-in GPS that tracks both speed and location, which is incredibly useful for keeping a detailed record of my journeys. One of the standout features is its ability to monitor the car even when it's off and parked. This added layer of security gives me peace of mind knowing that my vehicle is being watched 24/7. The installation was done by Best Buy, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Their professional service ensured that everything was set up correctly and functioning perfectly from the get-go. Overall, the Thinkware dashcam has exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and feature-packed dashcam.

Did some research into dash cams, particularly dual front/rear setups. This one consistently had me impressed. After a few months of usage I am still impressed. The app is easy to use, though sometimes a little touchy. My only complaint is something I expected, and would expect from every good dash cam on the market. This does not apply to everyone; Due to the harder ride of my pickup truck, every time I hit a pothole, speed bump, or rough-under construction roads, the camera records it as an incident. Overall I have found this to be a great value product. It is not the greatest or the best dash cam out there, but it does exactly what it is supposed to do, and does it very well for its price point. My tips for anyone looking to buy the full kit: -Take the time to set up the cameras in good spots to provide the best visual coverage, as well as setting the actual camera angles. -Set aside some time and learn how to use the app, you can change several camera settings to adjust recordings to your specific needs. -If you have the know-how, or can hire someone to do it, I would highly recommend hardwiring the camera. Not only does it allow the camera to record while parked (You can change several aspects of this in the settings or even shut it off if you don't want it enabled), it also looks more professional and less distracting with all of the wires tucked away out of sight. -If I can edit this later I will add pictures, I hope this helps!

I've been using dash cams for the last decade, before they even gained some popularity in the US, and have had multiple brands from HP (no longer makes dash cams), to Cobra, odd Amazon brands, and Thinkware. For the last 4-years or so I've only been using Thinkware in all my cars since they actually work, I've never had one break down on me, their app is actually reliable, and they include features that others don't - like being able to warn you of traffic cameras, detect when the vehicle in front of you breaks, detect when you might not be in your lane, etc. I've used Thinkware dash cams in nice cars, like a fully loaded Audi S4, which is suppose to brake by itself to avoid a crash, and there's been times when the car's system just hasn't worked and the dash cam actually warns me when the vehicle in front of me might be stopping fast or slowing down (sometimes braking hard, which I would see the red lights; other times people slow down without using brakes). I usually do get the Q800 PRO; but this time opted for the F200 PRO because it's the only one my local Best Buy had in stock (didn't want to wait) and it was a good sale price, and although the Q800 feels better built, I'm not really going to complain much about the F200. The only downside to the F200 is that it requires a separate GPS dongle for that feature to work; but that's fine, having one more little thing on the windshield doesn't bother me. Personally, I wouldn't spend more to get the U1000 since Thinkware and all these dash cam companies use a bid chip and mainly software optimization for 4K (in other words, not really the 4K you would expect from a GoPro or a real camera, so to me, not worth it). Another thing to keep in mind - the sad truth about these dash cams (all brands), while you're in motion, most will not really be able to read license plates - especially the little back camera (they all use the same low quality back camera). Keep in mind that they will capture an accident; but if the other car runs from the scene, good luck if you didn't catch a plate. Personally, I would also suggest that you keep a dongle in your car so you can just remove the memory card in case of an accident so that you can quickly transfer the recording to your phone/tablet/computer. Yes, it's not hard transferring the media over the dash cams app; but you'll have to connect to the cam's wifi, transfer via the app, then transfer to your phone's media folder - and the app tends to not work well if you don't have good cell coverage, which is dumb; so to avoid having to troubleshoot during an accident scene just keep a dongle/card reader in the car (obviously, take care of yourself, loved ones, and others involved before tinkering with the dash cam - don't worry, a Thinkware won't fail you and Oakley captured everything). It's not just for accidents, if you hardwire it the cam runs 24/7 and will capture things like motion or whatever you set it to capture. On installation - Best Buy has been awesome for the most part, if you have an American or Japanese car it's a breeze for them - they even installed a back/front cam system in a soft top Jeep Wrangler for me and did an amazing job. Euro cars, mainly Audi's are a headache to them - personally, I'd suggest talking to the tech and if he/she or you aren't comfortable installing in that car, go to someone who knows Euro cars well.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a detailed and honest review and feedback.

We appreciate your suggestions and will make sure to discuss them with our development team for further consideration.

As for the connection issues with the app, the connection does not need cellular data/service to work with the app, therefore if you are experiencing any troubles connecting the app to your mobile device then it may be the camera's signal malfunctioning. If you continue to experience this issue, please contact our support team for further help. Support contact info: [email protected]/1-844-865-9273. Thank you! Thinkware_CA

Very easy to set up/install especially with the obd2 cable they sell separately. Took me under an hour to install (having never done it before and only watched one video). I bought this as a gift for my sister and she said she’s never felt safer behind the wheel! Camera quality is great even at night and accessing/transferring videos is very simple.

I am very happy with the picture quality and range of vision with this dashcam. There is no screen with is unit so you can only view videos from a phone app. I would have given 5 stars but the app is a little clunky because it uses a wifi signal instead of Bluetooth witch conflicts if you are using Android Auto in your vehicle.

Thinkware is a budget dash cam that just works. Easy to setup using the viewer adjusting the volume, impact sensitivity, and brightness. I started with a F50, then a F200, now a F200 pro. I like that the windshield mount, power cable, and GPS cable remain the same so all you have to do is install the new camera on the mount and plug it in. I did make a bracket that slips under the headliner for the rear camera as it is not removable from the windshield bracket. But is plugs in so you can take it out if you store you car in the winter. Also if you park in the hot sun you will want to remove it.

The THINKWARE-F200 PRO with front and read dash cams and GPS accessory is a very good product. I would have given it five stars, rather than four, except for two issues. First, the unit has trouble automatically re-establishing connection with my iPhone 14. The unit will do its job without being connected to your cellphone, but the cameras are recording while you're away from your vehicle, and it tells you if an incident occurred while the vehicle was parked. In order to see the video within the unit your cellphone must be synced with the dashcam. So each time I start my vehicle I have to find the small button located on the unit's base that's mounted to my windshield (this means reaching around the rearview mirror and leaning over the console into the passenger seat area), depress the unit's sync button, and then access the bluetooth on my iPhone to re-establish connection. Second, the unit is using power while your vehicle is off. During cold snaps, your vehicle battery can be drained enough that your remote functions, such as remote start, are disabled to conserve enough power to start the vehicle. The unit's owner's manual even warns of this possibility.

This has a nice clear video for viewing. Easy access to view on your phone. Only con is that the camera has to be hooked up to Wi-Fi to see the footage. If I am in my house and hear my alarm go off, I am not able to look at the feed without going out to the camera and connecting to WIFI

This is the best dash camera I've ever had! I love the fact that the video is clear. The audio is clear ad well and easy to understand. I also like the automatic parking feature that records while your vehicle is in parking mode I do think the time/date stamp could be bigger in order to ready more clearly.
