Had a local shop wire this in. I don't have experience enough to do it, but through the app you can set battery voltage parameters, and in daylight hours the video is great. Night time, it's all black. But it will record audio.

I purchase the thinkware f800 and it works as expected. I tried to get it install by best buy geak squad but they refuse to do so since they don't work on luxury cars. Got it installed somewhere else for 50dlls.

Needed for Car Cam install. Not too expensive to purchase through BBY.

I had a little bit of a struggle at first to setup the hardwiring but now I get to understand how to set it up on European cars and would recommend this to anyone

It would be more helpful if a hardwire cable were included in the purchase of the dash cam since it's necessary in order to enable parking surveillance when the ignition is off. Purchase of a separate product should not be required in order to get all features of the original product's ability. That being said, we used this to get our Thinkware X700 Dash Cam professionally installed, and the Auto Tech was very professional, seemed to enjoy his job and was thorough.

If you want the camera to record during the vehicle being parked, this is something you might want to get. Otherwise, there is no need for this cord. Just use the cord that comes with the camera.

Get this kit if you want your camera to work around the clock. This will give you the parking watch so if your car gets hit while parked you can find it

I bought this then returned it because it was not needed for my 16' Challenger. I plugged the camera into the console outlet, which gives constant power.

These hardwire cables did the job. However, it was unfortunate it didn't come with the camera. These are a must have if you want your vehicle to be "protected" even if you're away.

Most new cars have the fuse box I either the trunk or under the hood..this hardwire kit is only long enough if the fuse box is under the front dash.

This was an excellent purchase and needed for professional installation. I did not want to use the cigarette lighter for my dashcam and decided to have it done professionally at BestBuy. All I can say is professional installation is the way to go and the dashcam now looks like a standard part of the vehicle.

I would highly recommend purchasing this option for the Thinkware dash cams in order to allow for Incident Parking modes to work.

Cabling links front and rear view cameras. Best Buy tech did a great job installing it. So far no reason to check accuracy.

You can power up the dash cam with the provided power cable but if you hardwire with this cable it gives you additional options.

Bought the hard wire cord to prevent using the coiled cord. The coiled cord attracts thieves and is unsightly.

This wire is needed for the hardwire setup. Once you have the front and rear cameras working your in for a treat.
