To really get the full potential out of the camera this is a must, very simple to install for the mechanically inclined. They even have a video which lays it out for the non mechanically inclined. Just need a small variety of fuses, multimeter, & 2 tap a fuse and 15 minutes.

Works exactly as stated. I used this to hardwire the THINKWARE F200D dual dash cam to my car's fuse box. All three wires need to be used (ground, constant, switching). My only complaints is that the wire is on the thick side, so wedging into car interior trim lining.

This cable should’ve came with it. In order to use parking mode with Thinkware cameras you’re going to need this fuse splicing cable. It taps into fuse box which may sound scary but it’s more reliable than the 12 volt socket plug that comes in the box. DO NOT tap into safety related fuses such as airbag, power steering and other car critical fuses. Make sure to accurately look up the codes in your cars manual or behind the fuse cover to match the correct fuses. You also may need to buy an *add-a-fuse-cable* and additional fuses at your local car parts store. (There are two types of car fuses. Mini fuse and regular fuse) I tapped into power seats as I have them equipped with my car and it’s a constant on fuse. Constant on meaning the seats in my application still have power to move even when the car is powered off so the camera still has power to enter parking mode.

This hardwire kit is a necessity to allow your Dashcam to record while the vehicle is parked. Installation is very easy if you are mechanically inclined and the wires are clearly labeled. The instructions are included and support is available online. After it is installed, the wire is definitely long enough to reach common areas where the Dashcam is mounted.

This is a must have for hardwire. Yes you can splice the cord it comes with but it won't give you parking mode. It takes constant 12v, Ign or ACC 12v and ground so that way it knows when to switch. The cord it comes with has a tip ring sleeve connector as well but only 2 wires, I checked. Stop reading just buy it.

Extremely easy and straight forward if a) you know what you’re doing and b) you follow the instructions. I would let a professional do the installation for Honda Civics (from experience) since they have low profile fuses. That makes it difficult to wrap the wire around the fuse.

Excellent quality, great price. Compared to the aftermarket offerings, this is far better quality. It's also a better price. Just get this from Best Buy, avoid the Amazon knock-offs.

Nice addition so you can hardwire the dash cam so you don't have to have e the cigarette/accessory power plug used. Cost is a. It ridiculous for what it is though. Only thing special about it is the plug to the unit, no special circuitry or boxes. Otherwise it's just a power wire, ignition power wire, and a ground.

Works great, easy to install a must have for any think ware dash cam. Installation instructions are easy to follow, i do recommend you know where your fuse box is located in your vehicle for easy installation.

If you buy any of the Thinkware Cams, this is worth cost. Much easier than using the included "cigarette lighter" plug. Makes everything work automatic.

If you hate cables running up your dash and in you line of view like me you must have this with your install. If you are not mechanically inclined I would not recommend you doing this on your own because you have to tap in to fuses on your vehicle and test for power. Also you need to know what type of fuses your car uses and purchase two add a fuse taps because they do not come with it.
