    Had to return the first unit as there was an issue between the housing and lense that caused blurry areas. Exchanged for like and reinstalled. Most reviews said it was one of the best available cameras. Picture quality is fair at best. Lots of artifacts and night is worse. Cannot read license plates unless stationary. Updated the firmware first thing but for an advertised 2k/QHD camera this is disappointing. Should have tried a different brand when the first unit was defective. Also Geek Squad hardwire install was 2 months out and then 2 weeks before my appointment they cancelled on me. Wish i could still return and try a Garmin or Cobra. Only thing that works well for me is the app.

    Camera works and the app is ok. If you want to have this record while the car is parked you do need to buy an additional thing which is a cord that they also sell at the store.

    You get what you pay for with this camera. It is affordable and it works for the price. It is dependable and I don't have any real issues with it. However, I have a lot of trouble trying to get the Android APP to connect to the camera. Other than the APP issue, the camera is working fine.

    Best camera on the market wouldn't go with any other brand or model has built in GPS built-in shock sensor and proximity sensor and works through Wi-Fi with your phone and records in 1080p

    To complicated to keep connection (Wifi lost...) Every time i want to connect to my iphone, will be to hard to connect and keep that connection..... it will be lost signal even if i am in the car.

      Hello There, Please note that it is recommended to connect to the Dash Cams WIFI only when changing a setting or reviewing a file, as the Dash Cam pauses recording while connected via WIFI.     I wasn’t to sure on what unit to go with but I’m glad I got this dash cam it is easy to navigate using the app from my iPhone can’t wait to get my rear view dash cam hook up with this one next week

    Constant battling between my car head and this camera foe WiFi connection. Can only see it on mobile device & not your head unit. Fine picture but just too inconvenient. I will get a KENWOOD whivlbill be able to see in dash!

    Got this on 7/29/19 before our trip to Colorado. Thought it would be a nice upgrade to the 1080p street guardian I`d been using for the past 2 years. How wrong I was. Picture quality was no better even though it was advertised as 2k. Bought the filter and adjusted settings to no avail. And yes the new firmware was applied. The real problem is after 31 days this three hundred dollar dashcam dies. I get in my truck and I get the message "GPS connected" constantly. I could not get it to connect via wifi as both phones I have would not pick up the signal for the dashcam. Tried the reset procedure and got nothing. It will let me know when I eject the memory card though. Hardly worth the money I spent. I would not recommend this piece of dashcam to anyone.

    I recommend Geek Squad to do the installation as it is time consuming will test your patient’s, Kyle knows what needs to be done and does it.

    I love my set up, the only downside is that I can’t view my recordings unless I’m physically in my car and connect to the camera via WiFi or hotspot connection.

    Works well, doesn’t have a monitor so you’ll need to have access to a smartphone to be able to control the dash cam.

    Not happy really, probably my fault for not researching it more. Wi-Fi Doesn’t always hook up to your phone easily AND I don’t like the fact that you have to sit in your car with it running to look at video on your phone would like it better if you could sit comfortably in your house to that also it would be better if it would hook up to your cars Screen it would be so much more better. ITS just not what I thought it would be.
