Thus far it has worked well. Have the date and time stamp takes a minute to figure out how to read. When connected to the camera via wifi, there is no data connection to the internet until disconnected from camera.

I researched three or four different brands and I always came back to THINKWARE. It has excellent night vision and is compact , about 4 inches across so it hides well behind the rear view mirror.
It comes with a chip so you don't have to buy an extra one. The only con for me would be it talks alot. I had to turn off the sound because it talked so much but other than that , it starts recording as soon as you turn your car on and provides excellent video for day and night.

I actually use this camera to record my mental health issues when driving. I show the footage to my therapist and we go from there. The camera is very easy to set up and use. I am able to transfer media as well as access live video fairly quickly. I recommend a large in memory size SD card as videos can overlap which is helpful for some who prefer continuous recording.

Purchased this based on some great reviews on YouTube. Sleek design and wonder video quality. Having a hard time registering the product and using the Cloud service. Thinkware support has been nice but unable to solve connection issue so far. Hoping a trip to Best Buy installation department will fix the problem

Works amazing and clear detailed video recordings. I love parking mode. Gives me the piece of mind that I have surveillance in my vehicle when I am parked and away from it. Hardwiring was not difficult to do. (Required for parking mode)

Geeksquad team did a great job with hardwire installation and walked me through the app. I also purchased the rear camera separately from Thinkware (because BB doesn't sell the rear unit) and Geeksquad guy just connected it for me. It is very sleek. Images are quite clear and you I can easily read the license plates of the cars in front and behind me. Auto focus and auto light exposure are quite good. I chose hardwire so I can use the Parking Mode. It is supposed to have discharge cut off to avoid draining the battery, but I have not had it long enough to test. The app controls pretty much everything and is easy to use.

Good quality as it is 2k, and night time is good. Only thing is if you have LED headlights, it can be hard to read plates due to the reflection. I can barely see them with my own eyes because of the LED so not the cameras fault. Frame rate is good. Just keep in mind if you arw viewing video or downloading it it will not record what is going on until you get out of that view. Make sure you get the camera lined up before you stick it as the adhesive is very hard to get off the plastic plate if you mess up. Not a bad thing as you dont want the dash cam falling off. Would reccome d the OBD 2 hardwire dor parking mode as it does not requuire any splicing

The camera is good, installation was simple, I did not install directly to the battery until I test for for a longer period of time.
I run into issues with WiFi connection, this is not necessarily due to the camera but it should be advertised as a warning. I use Apple car play with my phone and if I connect to the camera, CarPlay is disconnected. This basically makes the wireless feature useless for me. I am keeping the camera hoping that a future software update resolves the issue.
Sometimes the image appears overexposed, planning to play with the settings and see if this can be fixed. But again, with the WiFi issue getting to the settings is challenging.
I believe the return on investment is right at the edge of going negative for me, this is considering the price tag on this camera.
The image is not bad, make sure to clean your windshield and do something to deal with dashboard reflection on the windshield.

Initial setup was harder than it should have been and the power cord that came with it was soon upgraded to the one on the ThinkWare web site to match my truck. The biggest downfall to this cam is the view, meaning ultra-wide when you review or download the recordings. I haven't cross-loaded any files to a PC to see if I could zoom or not, but from the review of files on my Samsung Fold4, you can't even read the license plate of the vehicle that just cut you off. The app is decent and, after the initial setup, is easy enough to use. The other thing I'm not thrilled about is the time of each recording and the number of files it creates. Each file is 60 seconds in length and, regardless of how much storage you have, the short in length files overwrite themselves. If you're on a long trip, like I was earlier this fall, you'd better review footage within 15 minutes of an event or you won't have the file as it will have been replaced. Crystal clear resolution, just too high and needs to be easier to view.

Great camera with great quality. I just don't like the fact that every clip is a minute long and it takes forever to go over and find a clip because there are so many. Blackvue does a better job in this regard and that would be my first choice. This is a good second in this category of high end dash cameras. I expected slightly better especially at these higher prices.

This dash cam is a good product, and almost had to use a couple of times because of what might would’ve happened. But I feel like they could’ve done better with the app. Overall it’s a good good camera it has clear video and audio but I’ll probably be looking around soon to see if there’s anything there but other than that no problem.

I like the unit. Once installed behind the mirror it's invisible for the driver. That's a plus. It doesn't have a video screen which can be viewed as either a negative or positive. Since I don't plan to watch the video while driving it's not an issue. You have to use your phone to view any video or pull out the SD card.
Negative: the voice commands/notices come to often and become annoying. I turned off the volume to the voice so it's no longer an issue.

After months of searching and reading endless reviews for all sorts of dash cams, I bought the Q800 Pro when it hit Black Friday prices. Setup was fairly easy, with the only minor issue being connecting to my new phone’s hotspot for cloud service. But help was a quick google search away. Video quality is great, both day and night! I like that I can turn off the mic and just have the video stored. I feel this camera has all the options, but without its own cellular connection. I opted for the OBD-II harness and adapter for parking mode and easier wiring, and it was well worth the little bit extra. Overall this is a great device and I can’t really think of any cons.

The on screen info on your phone when you finally get hooked up takes a bit to figure out. Not quite user friendly. A bit of playing around and experimenting I was able to figure out. For such a good quality product I think they could make it a little more user friendly. I use the manual record often as it benefits me for posting purposes. It will record every bump you hit. Tried turning sensitivity down but it goes off for hitting a pothole. Finding a bigger 128G memory card that works had been a challenge. Still haven't found one. The formatting seems to be the issue. Using the 32G that came with it is ok, but every so often you have to delete all pics or it will stop recording when needed. They will sell you from the factory a thinkware 128G for $160.00, but that is quite a bit of a rip off. Com'on guys you can do better than that, another comparable brand is $40. As long as you dont hit any bumps or use manual recording the 32G will last a while but otherwise it may not be there for the reason you bought it. As it eventually fills the card up. But keep deleting every so often and you should be fine. Also it not made in China. Buy USA or other when ever you can, this was a reason I did purchase this one.

With all the terrible drivers in Central Florida, purchased this dash cam to document any issue if an accident occurs. The video quality is excellent and crystal clear. The online website is easy to operate and setup preferred settings. With an almost two hour round-trip drive five days a week, needed to install a larger memory card in the unit. Make sure to always use a THINKWARE memory card. Had an issue with the unit after installing a third party card. Best Buy mobile installation is outstanding! Representative was able to fix the glitch with the unit from installing a third party memory card.

Amazing video quality. Used it for my long road trip through 7 national parks. Captured great footage of all the wildlife that I encountered on the road. Easy to use, love that I can download the videos from the app. Automatically starts recording when the car is parked. You can adjust the time and start/end settings for parked recording. Did a lot of research on Dashcams and was down to Thinkware and Blackvue as the most reliable brands. Beware of Chinese fly by night brands that are out there. You get what you pay for.

Great picture quality; however, some of the traffic sensing features may or may not work or you may experience a delay before you get the visual/audio warning tone. I also found access/control a bit difficult via the app; I did not find that too user friendly.
