But all makes of cameras are the same.

Had it professionally installed because it went in my minivan. I wanted rear footage for an extra blanket of security with all of the crazy drivers out there. All of my dashcams for all of my cars are Thinkware, one of the most reliable and longstanding brands out there for dashcams. You get what you pay for. Watch out for cheap Chinese fly by night brands.
