Had this hardwired to my Model 3 earlier in the year along with Thinkware's external battery/fuse box. A few weeks back, someone turned their car into the driver's side wheelwell. I'm not sure the video was needed in this case, but it definitely didn't hurt to have. The quality was WAY better than that of the car and I didn't have to worry about the car not properly saving the footage. I haven't had any issues with the front or rear cameras since having them installed with the exception of the audio not capturing for the clip of the accident. Probably better it didn't...

If you are worried about dashcam quality This is the best dash cam quality-wise. You have to start your setup before attaching the front camera to get a perfect position I wish it was mentioned more clearly. There are abundant features that a Dashcam should have. Spend the extra money and buy the radar they sell which makes the product complete.

This dash cam is awesome and packed with features. Resolution is great and ight vision displays are impressive to say the least. Install was not too complicated either. Overall, I am satisfied with this dashcam.

Camera is nice. However getting it set up with the cloud so I can receive notifications of parked car issues is difficult. I am still working with the manufacture tech support to get it to work

Great little device. But app cloud is very confusing. You can only view live feed while it is connected to your phone or a hotspot. It does not auto download your videos which I feel would make it more favorable.

Wonderful but I still haven’t figured everything out about it. Someone hit my car and did $10,000 worth of damage and the video recording failed. I was disappointed but I guess I needed that Thinkware radar because it will record longer before and after impact. I was able to identify clearly a person that has been sitting and jumping on my car. Support was very helpful in showing me how to view the videos and giving evidence to the police.

Bought this after returning another brand. Works great. Built in GPS and WIFI without the need for additional equipment. Came with a hardwiring kit to enable parking mode.

It does work well, overall. I'd be happier with it if it were easier to access using my phone. The problem is that the phone's always linked to the radio on WiFi using Android Auto, so to access the camera, I have to disconnect and reconnect to the camera. This can be a little fiddly. Also, I have to keep a battery maintainer on the car or the dashcam will run my battery down. And it was a bit expensive. Other than that, it just sits there and works.

The only downside in my opinion is the sound from the device itself, I bought it Mainly for the ADAS features and I am bit disappointed in terms of audible warning sounds , Low even at maximum level.Great quality 4k footages!

So far this is a very effective camera. We also purchased the battery pack and installed them all together. The install was pretty straight forward. The camera footage is very clear day and night. It records perfectly in a parking garage as well!! Which solved our problem... So much so they now park it and not touch it during the day. I highly recommend this with the battery pack for parking mode. Only down side. I’d like to have a camera on the inside of the back window facing forward so you could see the sides. But other than that it’s amazing! Sound and video quality are on point!

Great product, the only issue I have with it is accessing the mobile app. It becomes a nuisance. Also, for the price I wish it would’ve provided in cabin recording as well. The parking recording is the main reason I chose this camera and it works great. Just make sure to keep in mind in rainy days this will be worthless. The gps is amazing, let’s me know when I am approaching speed traps, I would have gotten a few tickets already if not for it’s warnings. I’m

I upgrade my dash cam from Thinkware Q800 Pro to Thinkware U1000 because I really like 4K video and its radar. The system works very good so far although the app setup is little complicated.

The camera appears well build and sturdy. The clarity is okay considered the FPS rate is slowed to conserve battery. The one thing that is pretty bad the the Thinkware app. Not very user friendly and keeps disconnecting from phone. I found it easier to take memory card out camera and view recordings on computer than to use the phone app. Also during the fall and winter, the windows fog up, so there goes that recording in parking mode . I would expect more from the app, given the it's the flagship product from a reputable brand.

Its great for a while then it clitches and always in the summer i think it gets to hot and messes it. Always get the insurance on them.

This product works as intended. I hit a deer in my car and I was able to retrieve the whole thing happening. Not that I wanted to relive that moment. The one thing I would change about this product is the ease of use. Connecting to the device is slightly frustrating and I typically have success from a tech savvy standpoint.

Has most features - except for parking radar. Radar cost $100 more. In my opinion not worth it - if they break in they’ll take the dash cam anyway. if your car has a switched fuse or switched cigarette lighter it’s easy to install yourself - comes complete with wiring. Bought this on sale from best buy - $100 off. I also bought EchoMaster OBD wiring and radar from Amazon but return both. Best to buy from big chain like best buy - easy return. Bought EchoMaster from Amazon and it was missing the ignition module - what a hassle. be careful with the GPS - it does capture your speed - so it you share the video in a police or accident report you can be ticketed too

Excellent video quality and easy to use app on smartphone.

I pick this Thinkware because the offer 4k quality, but the quality is not clear as I thought it would be. I have a really hard time reading license plate of driving record on the road. I can only see it when my car is really close to other cars. Night vision suck and unrealible. I got hit and run and the video recording suck. The recoding can not even capture the colors of the car. They offer impact notification on the phone, but I got no notification and the camera did not download the impact either.

This dashcam is everything I'd hoped for. Great quality and easy to use.

Great camera with no issues. I wish the recording where displayed by the time they were recorded or state NEW recording. But other then that i love it
