Did not give the utility I desired an did not have the Iphone connectivity I desired.

Had i known it did not have a wifi connection i would not have wasted my money. My fault for not doing a better research on this product. Ihave had the Thinkware cameras in the past and naturally thought it was built in. Extremely disappointed in this product.

Got this camera during the holidays and just recently installed it. Great picture quality and easy to operate. It also came with a memory card.

stopped working, gotta stop buying deal of the day.

Everything works fine and is easy to install in my opinion.

TLDR: -Not great video quality, you can't read license plates more than half a car length away. -Audio recording is ONLY manual, so a separate button you need to press if you need to read a license plate out loud. -Can't use with their app. You have to download videos via the SD card. -Only 16GB SD card. -Buttons can be difficult to press, even with my tiny fingers. Impossible if you wanted to press one while driving. -Not worth the price. I had one of the techs at bestbuy recommend and order a front and rear dash cam set for my new car. He picked this one (and this was before it was on sale so I paid the full $250, I did inform him I had no price limit and wanted something with the best views, audio recording, parking incidents, etc.). I had it installed via hardwiring and was really excited. I've played with it enough in the car (trying out the audio recording, pressing the manual recording etc.) that I finally brought the SD card in today to review the video footage. After paying what I paid for the cameras and the set for hardwiring (sold separately by the way), I can't believe I spent $300 on this. The video quality is not something I would expect in 2023. Not even back in 2010. It's awful. You can't see a license plate from more than half a car length away. I was also under the impression that the audio recording was always on but it's only manual. So if you get in an accident and want to say the car license plate out loud (because who knows if you'll actually see it in the video), you'll have to press a separate button, which even with my tiny fingers can be difficult to press. In reality, this isn't the makers fault. The man at bestbuy who ordered it for me hyped it up and made me believe I was getting a dash cam close to top of the line (which is what I was looking for). Though I'll say the price isn't worth it to me. maybe $100 would have been more of a fair price, especially given that the set for hardwiring isn't included. I just wanted the best for my car because the first month I got it, I was hit 3 different times while at work, out of my view, and no one to blame for the $1,400 in repairs. I should have done my due diligence and researched more before trusting someone else to order for me, but I have no clue what a big difference all the different dash cameras have. Not to mention, the tech told me that I could use their app with this camera, but in fact you can't because it has no wi-fi.

BUYER BEWARE... Thinkware camera equipment does not perform as described. I purchased two different models with store installation. Both had great picture quality, when the camera function worked properly. Unfortunately, both cameras were undependable. I ultimately discovered the Thinkware product technology is substandard and only works intermittently. Ugh. I was very excited to purchase the Thinkware brand and did not invest the time necessary to properly research before my purchase... so my experience was a lesson learned for me (twice). Don't be fooled by the higher star "fluff" reviews that appear legit.. the camera function is not dependable and may not work when you want it to. Save your money and time.. choose a different brand.
