Unit broke under warranty, months past not fixed!

Less than a year old and hasn't work in months. Thor has been able to get to repaired and parts are on back order. Not sure why they won't send a new unit. Called in Warranty Claim end of February, it now end of May!

Good Ice Maker and convenient Ice Bin

Bad unit?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We took delivery of this on January 4, on January 24 it completely quit making ice. Best Buy said we are getting you a new unit. Best Buy gets a 5, Thor gets less than one so far.

A Waste of Money & Resources
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.What THOR does not tell its buyers is that this unit operates at 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It does not keep the ice frozen but allows it all to melt within 48 hours. This information was only revealed after the service technician called THOR technical support during a service call. It’s operating temperature is not available information on THOR’s website or other online sources. If you are using a great deal of ice this is not big deal. However, for the occasional user it is a waste of water and electricity. Average use is 4 gallons per week of water that is not filtered, recycled and reused. It just goes down the drain. The compressor cycles about 4 hours a day. How this unit was awarded Energy Star Compliance is beyond me. A gross squanderer of resources.

Great machine

Ignore prior posts about the inside tenperature being 41– the ice is not supposed to be hard frozen like a freezer ice machine. This is the fourth machibe like this Ive owned. They’re fantastic.

Ice stuck or too small.

I've Maker Does Not Keep Ice Frozen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this unit (Model No. TIM1501) a week ago and while it is very nice looking and does make a lot of ice quickly (hence the 2 stars), the inside temperature of the machine does not get below 41° so the ice is always in a state of melting. Thor customer service has yet to address the issue.
