Gamer's edge Hall effect sticks, drift free!

If you're a gamer, then you're looking for a controller that gives you an edge over everybody else. The same is true in life, having an edge gives you more chances to advance. So naturally, when I need a new controller, I'm getting one that solves the issue of drift most controller get after a year or so. The potentiometers that regulate the pitch and rotation of the mini-sticks wear out from continuous use. That's why the HEART controller by Thrustmaster is a literal game changer. It uses Hall effect magnetic proximity sensors on the thumb sticks! This means consistent, precision accuracy with no chance for drift because of the lack of any mechanical friction. Typically, you would find hall sensors on the trigger buttons in the front on most controllers today. When you notice you're buying a wired controller for the price of most wireless models, you realize this is a serious unit. Granted, you are going to get faster response from a wired unit, and I didn't have any other wired units to do a proper comparison, but I tested it with my new favorite Dragonball Z Sparking Zero, and I have to say, I can do Sonic Sway with characters that don't have the feature. I'm impressed with the premium quality and feel; it's comfortable to hold, and the programmable colors make it look pretty sharp. The bottom extra keys are perfectly placed for me to tap with the sides of my middle fingers. The audio pass-thru on the back with mute button is a nice touch and the braided Usb cable adds to the pro look. I think the difference is clearly noticeable and, though more expensive than many wireless units, it's half as much as a wireless unit with Hall sticks. Get it if you're a daily player; it will last. Don't get it if you're an occasional weekend player; you won't notice it as much and by the time your controller starts experiencing drift, these will be more affordable.

This is a great wired controller. It is lightweight and fits nicely in my hand and easy to navigate the buttons and sticks. I use it on our Xbox and also on the pc, it works great both ways. One of the cool things that the kids love too, is the LED display in the middle! You can change it to a number of different colors and control how intense the lighting is. I was able to use it quickly right out of the box, just really plug and play. Then later I downloaded the app to see how it works. It does give more options to personalize the controls but I’m not a fan of the app. It just seems a bit more complicated than I like for this little controller. And I can use it just fine on its own without using the app. This looks similar to the many Xbox controllers we have used but this new HEART technology seems to make it different from all our others to help avoid drifting. When using the controller, it is fast with no lag time and responds great to follow the path. I would imagine that this will continue as opposed to the others after using for a while, stop working, starts wearing down, and drifting. We’ve looked up tips over the years to keep our controllers from drifting but nothing seemed to work longterm. So I’m very hopeful this Thrustmaster HEART controller is the answer wev have been looking for and will last for a long while.

hands down the best controller i’ve ever used. i returned my razer wolverine v3 tournament edition to get this and it was the best decision i’ve ever made. this is the most comfortable and responsive controller i’ve ever used. the grips are anti sweat and there is no issues running it on zero dead zones and the response curve is pure linear which makes aiming with this controller feel amazing i will never be using another controller again. the two back buttons are in the perfect spot for your middle fingers and still allow you to grip the handles tightly. also side note is that ps4 control freeks will fit on the joysticks and the only negative i can say about this controller is that it doesn’t have trigger stops but the triggers have a relatively short pull and the software app allows you to fully customize your trigger dead zones and input as well as completely customize the response curve using number percentages which is the most in depth response curve customization i’ve ever seen on an xbox controller. over all 10/10 controller. and perfect for fps games like call of duty my aim has improved drastically using this controller. 5 stars.

This review is on a Thrustmaster - H.E.A.R.T Controller for Xbox X|S. Currently, I have been playing on my controller for about 2 years. So, of course, there is some stick drift. There is little to no tension in the sticks that I play with now. So I am used to this and have muscle memory for it. This controller is the exact opposite. The tension in these sticks are pretty strong. When I use the light muscle memory that I have for sticks, I kind of get a skip motion when aiming as I try and follow the enemy. As of now, I don't think I have used it enough to tell if it makes a difference in my aim. I definitely can tell that you won't be getting any stick drift with this controller. When pulling out and letting go, they snap back into place really quick. KontrolFreek's do fit the sticks, if you enjoy using them. The controller has no rubber grips. This is good and bad. It will slip off surfaces easily, but rubber grips tend to wear out and get sticky over time. So this is another reason for longevity. Also, the design of the controller is perfect for my hands. The way the triggers fit my fingers, to the way my middle finger fits the curve in the back, lays the point of that finger perfectly on the back button, yet can be put off to the side so that it is not in the way. The app lets you create profiles for different settings. One of the settings is for sensitivity curve and dead zones. There are 3 curves points and 2 dead zone points you can change in each stick. You can also change button mapping and vibration levels. The fourth option is changing the triggers. You can shorting the amount you have to pull on the trigger to get a 100% pull, but I am still pulling on the trigger 100%. So, I would prefer trigger stops.

Was great and really accurate.. when it works. Less than a month and it's disconnecting constantly. Super annoying. Even BSOD's me. Come on at this cost it should work.
