Excellent wheel, comparing it to other direct drive wheel bases and this one has enough power, responsiveness and good build quality to be a long term mid/high end solution. There is ZERO friction on this wheel.there is no better wheel for the price and its availability.

Overall this is a great value for a DD wheel. The top and bottom plastic portions of the wheel rim do feel on the cheaper side but the rubber side grips feel nice and firm. There is still an oscillation issue at high in game speeds, when going in a straight line if you max out feedback settings. This issue remained after the software update. If you turn the settings down it isn’t nearly as bad.

I could not forgive how bad the brake pedal is in this bundle. It feels like a gas or clutch pedal - very little resistance. The wheel is fantastic, however. Unfortunately I ended up returning the item over the pedals. By the time I had upgraded I would've been in it for the same price as a Fanatec DD Pro 8nm bundle.

I honestly wish I never bought the Thrustmaster T598. This thing has been nothing but problems since the day I set it up. The base constantly disconnects mid-race, the brake pedal randomly stops working, and calibration is all over the place. I’ve power cycled it more times than I can count just to get it to register anything. It works one minute and completely dies the next. Thrustmaster support hasn’t helped at all. They sent me a replacement power cord months ago that did absolutely nothing, and now they want me to ship the whole thing overseas for repair. Seriously? For a product bought in the US? This is supposed to be a premium direct-drive base and it performs worse than cheap wheels I’ve owned in the past. For how expensive this setup is, the reliability is absolutely unacceptable. I’ve invested in multiple wheels and accessories for this base and now it’s basically unusable. Save yourself the headache — I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Total waste of money.

Big upgrade from the Logitech g29. It’s worth the money

Great wheel! Upgraded from a Logitech G29 and this feels so much more realistic!!

So far it has been a good upgrade from the T300. Only been running it a week but no complaints. Decided on Thrustmaster because past experiences have been great. As for Best Buy ordering, delivery, and support I have had no issues. I have not had to call support but the product was easy to order and was delivered on time.

Absolutely worth upgrading to direct drive. A game changer.

Coming from the g29 this wheel is a huge upgrade. The power feels like double the torque. Super smooth turn and not gear feeling like the g29 . The wheel feels amazing for rally racing ! I play vr so the size of the unit doesn’t bother like some .

Great if you are starting out or are on a budget. Quick plug and play. Don’t forget to update it on your PC first. Works better with a strong sim rig, however, it’s great that it comes with a desk clamp. I moved up from a G 29 to this and it is a big difference.

Product is amazing when functional. I’ve gone through two power cords in the span of 1 month of ownership due to a weak design. Random disconnect Cost me multiple races.

Awesome wheel! The rim has a cheap feel but it is well made. It can be changed easy. Awesome Base! Perfect for Turismo.

Great wheel for persons looking to get into direct drive. It is powerful, dont be fooled 5nm with the 10nm burst is great. It is very detailed for all road surfaces in GT7, Dirst Rally 2.0 and ACC on PS4.

Excellent product with a lot of option, for example the F1 Ferrari gear can connected to it!

good but i dont like the shape of the base, it is very very good though with its function, no problems at all whatsoever, so buy it if the design doesnt bother u, its good for rally and all but the base doesnt match with racing cars dash
