Got 3 months for $0.01. Great deal, great quality. Weird UI. The master, Dolby Atmos, and Sony 360 audio formats are amazing with hifi headphones. Listening to Daft Punk’s RAM in 360 audio was like hearing it for the first time again, I heard sounds in the songs I didn’t realize were in there before. Price for the Hi-Fi family plus deal is not that much more expensive than spotify’s family plan, especially since Spotify has raised their prices by $1-2 recently. However, Spotify is still cheaper and wins in user-friendliness. The Spotify app is smoother and easier to use, and their algorithm for finding relevant music is unmatched. Tidal needs to reformat how they show you the same song in multiple formats. Sometimes, when looking for an album or artist, Tidal will show you a song in one format, like master, even though a Dolby version exists, and finding the right format was overcomplicated. I would have to search for that specific song again, or click on one format for it to show you the “other formats” section, which again would sometimes not show you all the versions (a Dolby format wouldn’t show but my friend would send me a link to the Dolby version). When they fix that up, I’ll consider switching permanently. But as Spotify should (I hope) be adding hifi and Dolby formats to their app by the end of the year, that may not happen.

I someone wants to listen to music at HIFI quality, Tidal is one of the best streaming music options out there, it has a great music catalog and a friendly interface. Actually, I am not a big fan of MQA codec, but HIFI is the best way to go, it sounds really good in any decent equipment. I recommend this streaming service, and Best Buy has the best prices for subscriptions.

Love the design and streaming quality of this app. It has every song I've looked up so far and had introduced me to other artists I haven't heard yet. I wish there were more playlists though.

TIDAL is a nice option for both music and videos. They are much more supportive to independent artists, paying much more in royalties; mentioning because it is EXACTLY why I use it when I can, to support local musicians and friends who have music on the platform. When I am able to help the cost with one of the free offers thanks to BestBuy it helps me with cost, and continued support for those friends, and local artists that I play and want to follow.

Title used to be the best music streaming app out there and then one day I found out why it was cuz Jay Z owned it If anyone doesn't know I think Jay Z is worth one point now 2.5 billion dollars He's not a stupid person by any regard eventually he sort of parsed it out that has nothing to do with the fact that this is an excellent value which I took advantage of numerous times over the course of title while Jay Z was owning it Thank you Best Buy

The sound quality in the master option is spectacular, it's a pity that it is not available in all the songs, in addition to the fact that the application is somewhat unstable on Android, sometimes it does not connect. The application needs many songs that Spotify does contain, in addition to having very few users, the playlists are very limited, in short, Rome was not built in a day.

Tidal is the best streaming service out there these days. They offer better streaming quality than Spotify, and they pay artists more. Discovery used to be Spotify's big advantage, but Tidal recommendations have gotten a lot better in the past few years

Listening to music in Hi-Fi is cool. I think the biggest thing is having adequate equipment to listen. Primarily got to listen to music in my truck. Video options are nice touch.

I really enjoy the service. However, I don't need the HIFI audio for Bluetooth earbuds. I get the service when it's on sale for $0.01. Just remember it will renew the charge at full price!

I have paid for many streaming services and like to think I've tried all the major paid, non-Apple ones. I first came to Tidal when I got it free from Sprint...so you can unpack what that means. I thought Tidal was a great deal free with my cellphone service and quite underrated. However AS A STANDALONE PAID SUBSCRIPTION for MUSIC ONLY...THIS COSTS TOO MUCH. I don't find Tidal is well integrated and supported the way other music streaming services are or in the way I want music streaming to be part of my life. If I could get the service for $3-5/mo then it would be worth it, even at $10-12 for a family of up to 4 users...but at normal non-promotional pricing I use Spotify or Pandora, and although I have not tried them, my next choices would be YouTube MUSIC and Apple MUSIC in that order...since I like cross platform usability and Apple doesn't play nice with non-Apple products.

Tidal claims its "Plus" subscription delivers high res audio up to 192 kHz. However, that's simply not true. First, playing above 48 kHz requires a decoder able to process MQA. While you can decode MQA 1st fold with a PC or phone, listening to hi res over earphones is really a waste. The idea is that the high bit rate introduces less error and distortion for high-end audio systems - not that anyone can actually hear 192hHz tones! Second, MQA has been shown to actually ADD more noise and distortion than straight 48kHz lossless compression. In fact, MQA organization just declared bankruptcy in April 2023! Third, Tidal doesn't actually have that many hi res recordings, many titles that it claims are "Masters" are really nothing more than 48kHz coded in MQA Codec! Tidal won't even tell the public exactly how many titles it has that are over 48kHz lossless. So here's the deal: Save your money. If you like Tidal, just get the base lossless subscription. In this case, paying more actually gets you less.
