Making it fun to mop again

While some companies are making multifunctional cleaning devices, the Tineco does one thing and one thing well - mop floors. It’s incredibly easy to use, relatively low maintenance, and works really well. The only drawback to me, is finding another spot for yet another cleaning appliance in the house that’s near an outlet (eliminating closets for me).
IN THE BOX AND SETUP
Inside you’ll find the mop, a handle, charging base, plastic cover that the mop sits in on the base - which can be removed for cleaning, a bottle of solution, an extra filter, an extra mop brush, and a cleaning brush (that looks like a bottle cleaning brush).
There’s a manual included, as well as a quick start guide printed on the inside of the box. Putting everything together takes little time and effort. The handle snaps in (although you have to use a screwdriver to take it off) and the plastic cover fits nicely into the charger.
DESIGN
It feels weird talking about the design of a floor mop, but this is really smartly designed, intuitive, and looks good. Removing the bins and emptying/filling up the bins is intuitive. The design of the display on the body of the mop is bright and easy to understand. It shows your battery charge while mopping (and it does go down rather quickly, but you’ll get 30-40 minutes of use per charge). Frankly, everything is intuitive and it makes a chore feel a little bit less like one.
PERFORMANCE
I thought it would be annoying to have the device have verbal prompts, but I ended up really liking it. When you put it on the charger, a verbal prompt states that it’s charging. When you change modes between max, suction, and auto, a verbal prompt tells you. When you’re done using it, a prompt reminds you to clean the dirty water bin.
But on to the performance. I was extremely pleased with the results. I have hardwood floors and three kids and they’re constantly dropping, spilling, stomping things in the kitchen. This mop won’t pick up anything that’s dried up and crusty (I had to scrape it up first) but it does a fantastic job of cleaning up liquid spills. You will be surprised how dirty the water gets in the dirty water bin, especially when you think your floors aren’t that dirty - at least I was.
Similar to a lawn mower that self propels, this mop pulls forward. It makes it super easy to glide across your floors. It doesn’t soak the floors, in fact, it’s cleaning while sucking up the water as it goes. It will leave a small layer of water (you can see it as you mop) but it dries within minutes. Much better than an old handheld mop where you had to wait a little bit for your floors to dry. I love that it sits on the dock ready for use at a moment’s notice (assuming you have some cleaner and water in it). I find myself cleaning the floors much more frequently when I can grab it off the charger, mop really quick, and put it back. All with minimal fuss.
MAINTENANCE
One of the things I always look for when buying a vacuum or other cleaning appliance is the maintenance? For example, robot vacuums require more maintenance that a typical vacuum, primarily because of the small dustbin and need to frequently change/clean filters. And with anything that requires cleaning solution, how much does it use and how expensive is it? Luckily it comes with an extra filter and brush, so I anticipate that lasting a while, but what about the solution? Luckily you only need a capfull per tank of clean water, so the included bottle will last you a while, and a 33 ounce bottle will set you back $25. All in all, I think the maintenance cost is pretty minimal which is a big plus.
In addition to cost, there’s also the issue of time. It’s recommended that you empty out the dirty water tank after each use. That’s to prevent odors. Luckily, in most cases it can be rinsed out and air dried. It has some crevices where I was afraid dirt might accumulate, but it doesn’t seem to be an issue. There’s also the self-cleaning feature of the brush. This is automatic - and quick - but you will need to clean out the removable plastic tray that rests in the charging base. So re time spent maintaining the cleaner, it’s pretty minimal. I give Tineco high remarks in that department.
MISCELLANEOUS
I wanted to add that there is an app that you can download and connect to your mop. I’ll be honest, I didn’t download it, I have enough apps on my phone and I’m not convinced it’s worth the effort of connecting it. But the option is there.
You can also turn off the verbal prompts if you find them annoying. The self cleaning feature is nice, essentially the mop will sit in the dock, spin the brush and clean the mop head. It didn’t take long at all. A feature I really like as it minimizes the maintenance issue I have with cleaning appliances - there’s no cleaning it by hand after each use.
The only two downsides are that you have to find a place for it near an outlet. Some houses might not have any issues depending on your setup. Others, like me, basically have it sitting in a corner. At least it’s not ugly, and frankly, I don’t mind it, but I might consider moving it when having people over for a social gathering. It’s not something you’ll want to put away in a closet when not in use - and not charging - although you could, it just takes away from the convenience. The other minor gripe - and this likely applies to any such mop, and that’s needing to empty the dirty water bin after each use. I don’t mind it, it’s easy to clean, and while it’s not technically necessary, the mop prompts you to do it to prevent the build up of odors.
CONCLUSION
All in all, this brings back the fun in cleaning. At least as much as possible. Cleaning isn’t fun, but when you have tools that make the job easier and more efficient, it’s a boon. Not to mention, it works extremely well.

I’ve used a couple different vacuums and power mops and this one has surpassed all of them in my expectations. No need for multiple steps in cleaning, just put some water and in this thing and off you go.
At first, I was a little perplexed on how much it pulls, I’ve never had a vacuum that felt like it was trying to pull itself away from me and sort of gave a bit of a workout pulling it back. However, that made me realize just how much that brush was on the ground. Unlike other vacuums where it might have wheels making the brush hover slightly above the surface, this one is all brush on the front.. Nothing really keeping it up off the ground. This means it is scrubbing it like you would a mop. It takes a little getting used to, but this also gets it right up to the wall, even getting the edge molding if you get right up on it.
The clean water reservoir on this thing is kind of small, but then while using it I realized it doesn’t use a whole lot of water unless you really get some dirty spots. In its auto mode, the ring on the display is blue till it detects some heavy dirt. Then it increases power and the only time I had it in red was in the test image I did below throwing milk, mustard and ketchup on the floor. In that test, it only took one pass and the majority of the puddle was up, but it took several more, as expected, to ensure it was truly clean and the display took things back to blue.
I recently had to do some work on my stove, so I had to pull it from the wall and was so in the moment I forgot to take pictures. But, if you are like me, you probably don’t move major appliances often. Needless to say, it was quite the mess back there. I picked up some large bits, but the rest I just ran this floor washer over and it picked up everything and practically restored the floor to new. It also gets right up to the edge, so it easily cleaned the full space.
Once you are done, you put it back on the charger and press the wash button. Now it takes several minutes, but it cleans and heated drys the brush. Probably one of the most annoying parts of one of the other wet vacuums is having to take the brush off and clean it. Sure, you will have to do more cleaning later as there are still places that can cause some build up, but for daily use this becomes like once a week manual cleaning. Just be sure to empty and clean out the dirty water tank as that is where odors will build quickly. The voice prompts even remind you to do it after placing it on the charger and after self cleaning.
While cleaning, it does leave a very thin layer of moisture behind, but nothing more than a typical damp mop. I have had other vacuums that leave little streaks of water behind. This one is very consistent in keeping it clean. From food crumbs to muddy footprints, this thing managed to get them all up, making the whole floor look fresh.
This does have a phone app and Wi-Fi connection, but it really does not provide a whole lot to the use of this device. It does help you keep track of how much you have used it and shows a % of its use based on settings. There are some other options but mostly things you can set on the device directly as well.
Overall, this Tineco Floor Washer has easily replaced my routine of vacuuming and mopping the hard floors in my house. It is simple to use and easy to maintain. It is great for just touching up and cleaning major spills. It is consistent in the clean and can get right up on the edges.
Great on hardwood and tile, love that its cordless

I have a 3500 sq ft farmhouse that has zero carpet, with about equal tile and hardwood flooring to clean. Prior to picking up the Tineco FloorWasher Flashdry I was using a steam mop to clean the floors, so the cordless aspect was really what drew me to this floor washer.
In the box is a charging base, floor washer, cleaning agent, and instructions. Setup is simple, similar to most stick vacuums, you'll need to assemble the handle (no tools required) and insert the clean and dirty water tanks. There is a companion app, Tineco Life, that you can install for diagnostics, instruction manual, and to view the floor washer battery and charging status. In addition you can start a self clean mode from the app, see cleaning history, and change the volume of the voice that gives status and warnings from the device.
To use, pull out the clean tank, fill with water, does not need to be hot, and add a cap of the cleaning agent. The washer has three modes, auto, ultra, and suction. In auto, the washer senses the level of water needed and adjusts accordingly. The dirt level status can be seen via the blue ring on the display changing to various hues of red, see photo. In ultra this always is higher cleaning, which I use consistently for my tile floors. Lastly is suction, if you're putting down a lot of water and need it to dry quickly you can use the suction mode to get the floors dry faster. When done the dirty water tank lid pops off, clean out the tank and the paper filter, and then place the floor washer on the charging / storage stand until next use.
The way this floor washer works is similar to a carpet cleaner, one tank has clean water, which comes out, is spread by a mop roller and sucked back into a dirty water tank. The clean tank holds about 1/4 of a gallon and can be filled up from most kitchen sinks based on the design. The washer itself weighs just under 10 lbs and is easy to maneuver one handed. The design allows for cleaning right next to the baseboards and around toilets, which is great for a floor plan that isn't open and has a lot of hallways, nooks and corners.
After a week of use, I find that I use auto mode on my hardwood floors. The amount of moisture is less than my steam mop in deep clean mode, but the cleaning from the washer is better than the steam mop. I use the ultra mode on my tile, as this is typically where the family tracks in the most mud and stuff from outside. In both modes I'm impressed with how quickly the floors dry, I'm estimating within 3 minutes the tile is completely dry in the ultra mode, and while it may not seem like it's cleaning, I can watch the muddy shoe prints disappear in just one pass. Note that floors are almost completely dry immediately in auto mode, so I don't have concerns of damaging the hardwood.
Other things to note are that the floor washer is semi self propelled, it takes a little bit of resistance to pull it back towards you, but going forward it will propel itself with very little effort. Because of this, I can't treat it like a vacuum and have to push very little to ensure that I don't go too fast and not get the floors clean. One tank of clean water will clean approximately 500 sq ft on ultra mode, and would cover more if only using in auto mode. For the first week, one tank of water would typically drain the battery by about 35%, so two to three tanks of water will get the first floor (~2000 sq ft) completely mopped, pending on how dirty. The battery will last for at least 2000 sq ft of cleaning prior to needing to charge. The only minor downside is that this floor washer doesn't do great with old grout. I have 1/4" spacing grout lines which are recessed lower than the tile due to deterioration, and I find that it doesn't do a great job of getting those cleaned if heavily soiled. Otherwise, I'm really happy with this floor washer, it beats the clean up and is much easier to use than a steam mop. The things that really make it better are that it's cordless, takes less effort to clean, and I don't have to touch any of the grossness in the dirty water tank, just dump and rinse it out.

This is my second floor cleaner/sanitizer. I feel as though one's floors can never be TOO clean! We like to walk barefoot in my house and I don't want dirty feet.
One real benefit with this model is the accompanying app. It really gives you a LOT of information and control. You can mute the "voice" that tells you what the machine is doing or you can have the voice on and adjust the volume.
You can check the charging status, dirty and clean water tanks and run the cleaning cycle all from the app.
One thing that is not so great- When I take the dirty water tank off to dump in the toilet (it is really gross and you do NOT want it in your sink), it drips while I walk to the bathroom. I will need to bring the machine closer to the dumping location to avoid messes that I will just need to turn around and clean up with the machine.
Tineco has you use a proprietary cleaning solution but the good news is, you only use a capful per clean water tank so the provided bottle should last a long time. A refill costs between $20-$25.
I do like the self-propelling of the machine. It glides easily without pulling too hard.
Unlike my other model, the buttons on this are simple- there are just 2- power and a second one that adjusts the mode. All other adjustments are made through the app. I prefer this as I am not pushing buttons and trying to get to different settings.
Another small downside- Between the base and the angle of the machine when charging, it sits out from the wall a bit more than I would like. When not in use, I prefer it to set further back and out of the way.
Overall, this is a great floor cleaner that is easy to use.
Good Self Cleaning Mop Vac and Close Edge Cleaning

This is my second self-cleaning, quick-drying, mop vacuum, and I was looking forward to testing the Tineco FloorWasher Flashdry Series 6 against my older model.
The setup was easy and ready to clean after waiting for the mop vacuum to fully charge. The water tank looked awkward, but it was cleverly designed for easy filling in the sink. The first setting I tried was the Max Mode, which went through two and one-half tanks of water (and dirty water tank dumps) within about 8 minutes. The edge cleaning was the closes I have seen at about one-fourth of an inch (see photo).
After my first use on Max Mode, the battery was less than the 15 % required to perform the self-cleaning, so I had to wait for the charge to be sufficient. I thought the Tineco mopvac did a superb job at cleaning and drying the roller, but did leave a little dirt under the brush-roller cover. I could not believe that the roller was soft and dry within 5 minutes.
For the second use, I tried using the Auto Mode and found the mopvac used only 2 tanks of water and was able to run for about 30 minutes with just enough charge to perform the self-cleaning. I wished there were a steam mode available since I attempted to clean a few difficult spots where this type of option would have made the task quicker.
Pros
Close edge cleaning (both side)
Quickly dries roller during self-cleaning
Clean water tank designed for easy fill
Very good self-cleaning with exception of brush-roller cover
Voice prompts loud and clear
Cons
Short battery life
Self-clean won’t work until battery is greater than 15%
No steam mode
Depending on what options you need and how long the battery needs to last, this is definitely a mop vac to consider. What sets this apart from the competitors is the close edge cleaning ability and great self-cleaning.

I bought this for my business. I have a 1800 square foot martial arts studio and I wanted an easy way to clean my waiting room and mat space. This vacuum works well on both the click vinyl flooring I have and the textured vinyl karate mats. If takes me about 30 minutes to do the entire space, and if I keep the vacuum on auto mode the battery lasts long enough to do that and the self cleaning at the end.
If I turn on the “high” setting the vacuum usually won’t last long enough to clean the whole area (only gets around 3/4 of the space), and I have to refill the water tank at least once before it’s completely finished.
All in all it was a good purchase for what I needed and I can see a visible difference in the floor compared to a standard mop and bucket.
Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that our vacuum has been a great fit for your martial arts studio, performing well on both click vinyl flooring and textured vinyl mats. It’s wonderful to know that it saves you time and delivers a visible improvement compared to traditional cleaning methods.
We truly appreciate you choosing our product for your business. A Game-Changing Appliance I Didn’t Know I Needed

I never imagined a floor cleaner could genuinely change the way I manage my home, but the Tineco FloorWasher FlashDry 6 Series absolutely did from day one.
My house has hardwood, vinyl, and busy areas that constantly collect spills, dust, and pet hair. Between kids, pets, and daily traffic, keeping the floors clean used to feel endless. I’ve tried traditional mops, vacuums, even cleaning robots—nothing ever made the floors feel truly clean. Until now.
What impressed me first was how this device actually vacuums, washes, and leaves the floor nearly dry in a single pass. It’s not an exaggeration. You can feel the difference under your feet. And the dirty-water tank proves it—seeing what it pulls out of “clean” floors is shocking.
The iLoop technology quickly became my favorite feature. I don’t have to guess how much water or power to use. The FloorWasher thinks for you, automatically adjusts as it cleans, and signals when the area is truly spotless. For someone who values efficiency, this is life-changing.
Then there’s the FlashDry function.
With past devices, cleaning the roller was the part I dreaded the most. With this one, I just press a button and it not only self-cleans—it dries the roller with warm air so it never smells bad. It’s one of those features you don’t realize you need until you experience it.
Manoeuvrability is another huge win. It’s lightweight, elegant, quiet, and turns effortlessly. And being cordless gives total freedom—no cables, no restrictions, no hassle.
But what I appreciate most is the time it saves me.
What used to take 40 minutes of sweeping, mopping, and drying now takes 10. My floors look brand-new every day, and the entire home feels fresher and better maintained.
I’ve used many home-cleaning tools over the years, but this is the only one I can confidently say is worth every penny.
The Tineco FloorWasher FlashDry 6 Series isn’t just a floor cleaner—it’s a tool that transforms your routine and gives you time back for the things that truly matter.
If you’re on the fence, don’t be.
I can’t imagine living without it now.

The Tineco Floor Washer Flashdry 6 Series cleans well and is convenient since it vacuums and mops at the same time. The floors come out clean, and I like the dual tank design.
But I’ve run into two frustrating issues. The self-cleaning cycle sometimes takes up to 5 minutes and doesn’t always start on the first try. Even more annoying, the unit often stops mid-clean saying empty the dirty water tank even though the tank is completely empty. When this happens, it’s not clear how to restart the program so I can keep cleaning, and I end up spending extra time troubleshooting.
It’s a powerful machine when it works, but these issues slow things down. I hope Tineco improves the self-cleaning cycle and fixes the false “empty tank” error in future updates.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on the Tineco Floor Washer Flashdry 6 Series. We’re glad to hear that you appreciate the dual tank design and the convenience of vacuuming and mopping simultaneously, resulting in clean floors.
We apologize for the inconvenience you’ve encountered with the self-cleaning cycle and the false “empty tank” error. Based on your description, it seems that the self-cleaning cycle is sometimes slow to start and may not initiate on the first attempt. Additionally, the device incorrectly indicates that the dirty water tank needs to be emptied during mid-cleaning, causing confusion and disrupting your cleaning process.

I don't much like housewirk. With two large dogs, mopping laminack floors on the regular is critical. This has made it so easy to be more consistent and timely than mopping. The self cleaning and drying features make this worth eveey penny. The only downside is that you cant go low enough to the floor to get under the bed or low furniture.

Enjoying it! It does a wonderful job cleaning my pet-trodden floors. Easy to clean and use. Comes with plenty of cleaning solution, an extra roller, and extra filter. I do find the tank for the clean water to be a bit small but it’s not bad since it is easy to fill up. I would definitely purchase again and again!

This does NOT make life easier. You'll get maybe 45 minutes of use. During the time, you'll need to refill the soap at least once, and dump the dirty water at possibly a different time. Once the battery is dead, it's dead; even if it's on the charger, it won't self-clean. You'll have to wait until it's about halfway charged, then you can start the self-cleaning. It's a must to clean this machine when you've used it, or it'll stink like a dirty mop. You'll have to take all the cleaning parts apart and clean them, then let them dry outside of the machine. Then once it's dry, put it all back together. Oh, and the battery takes about 4-5 hours to recharge, so once you've used your 45 minutes, you're done. Find another way to finish cleaning if you haven't. Even if you're cleaning small areas at a time, I still wouldn't leave the dirty water or go without cleaning the parts, so it doesn't stink. This makes me not want to use it just for a small cleanup. It is supposed to light red when there's a spot that needs extra attention, but I haven't found that sensor to be accurate. It sometimes doesn't light red the entire time when I know it should be red. Also, you have to find a place by an outlet, and it has to stay plugged in. It could be an eyesore. Just wish I had known the hassle of this before buying it.

Cleaning the floor is as easy as vacuuming. Does a nice job getting the floor clean and picking up the dirt. The wife says it feels much better when she walks around barefoot.
