Good value for light to moderate users

I've been on Ting for a couple of years now. They provide good value for relatively light use customers, which I am. It's even better if you have multiple lines since the lines share "buckets" of calls, texts, and data. They let you choose between CDMA (which uses Sprint) and GSM (which uses t-mobile) so if this GSM SIM doesn't work out, and your phone can handle CDMA, you can switch networks (you'll need to get a new SIM from them, though). The thing that really distinguishes them is their customer service. It's responsive and the representatives have been given enough flexibility to actually solve problems. They also seem to try not to keep secrets--they'll tell you all kinds of behind the scenes details if you ask. Ting is perhaps not the absolute cheapest MVNO these days, but I've been quite willing to pay a bit extra just for the service.

I have had two family phones on Ting for 4 months now. I am extremely happy with the quality of service, transfer process, variable scalable rates, pay only for what you use, BYO Device options, CDMA & GSM devices available, App and Web control of your usage and features works great and their customer service is amazing. I recommend this wireless provider for anyone who wants the ultimate in scalability at a more than competitive price structure. Quality of service on both Carrier types is excellent. All the features of the “big carriers” at a fraction of the cost.

We purchased this card based upon the recommendation of a friend. I love that it's go the $30 pre-loaded because it's nearly impossible to get everything set up without using a tiny amount of data and getting charged for it. We turned off data access right away, but will still be charged for the tiny bit we used while setting up our phone. Setting everything up was pretty easy. Looking forward to more extensive use of the product.

Runs on TMobile's 4G LTE network, so you should have absolutely no issue with service it since TMobile is considered 1 or 2 in the US depending what data you look at. CS with ting was great also, easy to set up online ect. Do remember that it is TMobile so you will need a GSM phone so if your switching from Verizon or sprint you should make sure your phone is compatible.

Beware. Not prepaid, great account management of literally EVERY aspect of your wireless service. Wayyy better than T-Mobile's own online act. Mgmt system. But they have this "hotlining" linked account issue that is rampant and will suspend your service with no notice.

I thought I would give them a try as they are highly rated by Consumer Reports. Its pay for what you use, $6 base and add for minutes and data. Great service and should have done it a long time ago.

It was easy to get this SIM card and add a phone to our account. We were glad that Best Buy had the card so we didn’t have to wait for shipping. I have been using Ting almost 2 years and I am very happy with their service!

TIng is a very friendly company to work with if you only use your phone sparingly or just need a quick month of service. I would not recommend for moderate to heavy users.

Bought for someone else, they did not report having any trouble using it. Cheaper (IMHO) than buying directly from Ting as it includes a service credit.

It contains 30 credit to start with, which is enough for 1 month. Note that this is not prepaid plan, a credit card is required.
