Wasn’t sure if I’d like this after watching some reviews and gameplay but decided to buy it anyways and really like it a lot. Has persona 5 feel to it but more simplified and bright/cheery. You don’t have to micromanage relationships as much but there is some degree of it. More focus on really fun battles and chaining together attacks with your characters. The dungeons aren’t amazing but enjoyable enough. It runs smooth and looks good on switch in handheld. Haven’t tried I’m docked mode. One thing to note is that it isn’t dubbed. I enjoyed the Japanese voice acting though. If you’re on the fence I’d say go for it.

Played through it on the Wii U, and the quality of life changes for this Switch edition make it the definitive way to play it. It's such a great slice of life RPG with an amazing battle system and just delightful characters. A small note for anyone that this impacts, the game is fully dubbed with all voice acting in Japanese, so a lot of reading. The translation is fantastic though. I wish they had opted to use the uncensored Japanese version for this definitive port, but don't give this game a miss on account of a few small changes that really don't significantly impact the overall experience of this amazing game.

Interesting story with solid if somewhat dated gameplay. My only real problem with this game is that the dungeons are overly complex, not in a good way but in a tedious way. Still worth playing.

Amazing game. Think of it as Persona lite version. Definitely worth a purchase. However maybe wait for a price drop as it's a remaster of a Wii U game.

What happens when you take FE and fuse it with Persona? You get this game a mash up of crazy ideas you wouldn't think would work out because it's too weeby but in fact it does succeed with flying colors. Speaking of colors this game has beautiful colorful graphics and great characters battle system music and character designs you will definitely be impressed with this title I highly recommend you give it a shot if you love jrpgs.

Good RPG, but not at the top of the genre as there are better RPGs (gameplay and story); however, if you are a JRPG fan, you will enjoy this.

For a non-Shin Megami Tensei / Persona game to be back on a Nintendo console is a big thing (notice I didn't say handheld only Ie. 3DS) This game is Persona meets singing idol, I bought it originally on the Wii U, then bought the CE on Wii U, it was that good. Other than some slightly edited content, this is the definitive version of the game and now you can play it on the go.

I played the original release on the Wii U back in 2016, and I am glad that this game managed to get a second breath of fresh air on the Nintendo Switch, as it was an underrated gem of the Wii U library. The newly included quick sessions mode speeds up the already quick and fluid turn based combat system, and all the additional costumes will be welcomed by any Atlus fan.

I love The persona/SMT series and I love fire emblem so when this game came out I thought I wouldn’t have like it and I thought it wouldn’t be challenging but I was wrong the game is great and the combat system is a prefect blend of fire emblem battle system and persona/SMT if you’re a fan of one or both of the series I highly recommend this game.

I held off on buying the wii u version of this game because I didn't know much about the fire emblem games. I am so glad I bought the switch version. This game is kind of like an easier version of persona 5 combined with fantastic musical and acting numbers. The fire emblem references are there but background of the games aren't necessary to enjoy this one.

If your looming for a great turn base Japanese game on the go for your new switch. This game is it. It got tons of compelling stories and task that will keep you busy for hours. The turn base system is similar to persona 5 and final fantasy 10. The game also has fire emblem charecters. So if your into all that it the game to get.

TMS#FE was a phenomenal Wii U game, and Encore brings it to a larger audience on Switch. The battle mechanics are very mush Shin Megami Tensei rather than Fire Emblem. Turn based gameplay is supplemented by the FR weapon triangle, and a new mechanic called "sessions" allow the player to seamlessly chain attacks and wipe enimies, it can be extremely satisfying. Outside of battle, the protagonist can hang out with his teammates and friends to experience their side stories and unlock new battle tactics. I'd compare the gameplay and story most closely to Persona. You play as a high school students turned demon hunters who masquerade their hunting career with an idol agency. If you liked Persona 5 or want it on Switch, I can confidently say that this game is probably the closest to it you can play on the platform. Unfortunately there is no dub, but I definitely recommend it regardless.
