Fans of the Persona games and SMT will undoubtedly have more fun with this game than Fire Emblem fans, however, it is still a good time to spend 40-50 hours!

Super happy they ported it over from the wiki! A fun little jrpg that Has a second chance. Def not for everyone, but if you are looking for a colorful slightly more light hearted jrpg this is the switch game for you!

I was looking for a nice JRPG to pass the time without having too complicated of a battle system, and this hit the mark. Bright, colorful, and fun themes.

This is kind of a weird port, it's a decent game and it's okay (but not what we were promised all those years ago; okay I'm going to live that alone). The gameplay is combination of both the SMT and FE series and works wonderfully. There's no english voice acting and this has to be one of the weaker developed ATLUS games in terms of story/characters. The whole idol thing in game is jarring and irritating and the characters are not rather likable (they are at first...and that quickly turns). The resolution of the game was not upped.
It's a decent game with great gameplay.

Great overall game if you are looking for a persona style game. Not very much fire emblem in it tho, if you are looking for that style of gaming.

Be warned, this version maintains the censorship from the Wii-U version.
I gave this game ten hours of my time and couldn't get into it. I expected craziness with idols fighting monsters by dancing and singing, but when the characters go into dungeons they transform into generic JRPG archetypes with complete makeovers. I also found the characters incredibly boring and I really didn't care what happened to them, so I stopped playing. The Fire Emblem aspect of this game is also minimal. It's a competent enough JRPG, but I was just hoping for more out of it.

The combination of Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem is a neat crossover with a nice Japanese Pop spin. Game is flashy in colors and fun to play if you love RPG games. Give it a chance.

I’m not a RPG fan, but I fell in love with this game. The first few hours are slow, but the action picks up quickly.

A Great Wii U JRPG makes the jump to Switch

For good or ill, Tokyo Mirage Session #FE: Encore's biggest strength and biggest weakness is that it's pretty much the same game you may have played on the Wii U. It runs better, it looks better, and it has some nice quality-of-life improvements, but it's basically the same game. Is that worth $60? It depends on how much you enjoyed the game in the first place, or if you missed it due to it being a Wii U title. Anyone who is a fan of Persona-style games will almost certainly enjoy it. JRPG fans hoping for something to tide them over until Persona 5 Royale should find a comfortable home in the weird world of Tokyo Mirage Sessions.
