    Very Glitchy

I am reviewing the Xbox one version of Rainbow Six Siege. That game brings back old school terrorist hunt in a new way. In my opinion a bad way because you can't choose any weapon, You pick a character with specific gun and you can custom fit his weapons. If someone else picks that character you have to select another character. The game is random. These character have to be unlocked before picking them using a in game currency called Renown points. They has no Campaign only multiplayer and old school terrorist hunt now, They have other types of terrorist hunt now including, Classic, Hostage rescue,Defend the hostage, and Bomb disarm. The game randomly picks what type of terrorist hunt you will be playing. The game put you and friends or randomly put players over Xbox live against AI terrorist just like old school terrorist hunt. When defending the game lets you setup traps to keep the terrorist from getting the hostage or bomb. The game has many known glitches going on. Worst one is you constantly lose sound. This mainly seems to happen when you unlock a new character is shows a cut scene of the characters ability (Breach Charge) or sometime a drone ability. Its 12-5-15 and so far no progress since release to see any glitches mention fixed. One of the other glitches is server issues. When you sign in it sits trying to connect to server for a while. Then tells you it can't connect. Shortly have about 17 seconds or shorter it finds and connect if you sit in the main menu waiting for it. This is a game issue not my connection issue as everyone playing the game gets the same thing. Controller settings are a little off from old school Rainbow games. The game is nice to play this way but I like the cover setup in the old school rainbow way better. This is rainbow six played like Call of Duty style control. Kind of takes the feel Rainbow six had to changes everything to feel like Call of Duty vs Rainbow six game. Would i recommend this to a friend? Well honestly currently No unless a friend got it then he should have someone to play with working with random people is tough. The only other way i would say buy it is if you are a die hard rainbow fan but even that is tough to say because it really don't feel like a rainbow game in my opinion. The game is alright and would be much better if they fixed the issues. I also dislike the pick a character stuff. I would like to pick and use whatever loadout i want. I give this game a 3 out of 5. But for a game planed years ago i am disappointed for sure.

I have spent many days playing online multiplayer and I can't stop gushing about how much fun I have had. This game is unlike most other shooters, and most other Rainbow Six game that has previously been released. Heads up that there isn't any type of campaign for this game. Think of it similar to Titanfall. You have the ability to fly solo, but for the most part you will be engaged in online multiplayer. Two teams of five start out with one minute of prep. The defending team secures an item or area and the offending team drives drones throughout a centralized building trying to locate that item/area that is being secured. Once that minute is up, game on. Everyone has one life and the game has a time limit around five minutes. The defending team will do everything they can including watching windows, doorways or roofs, and maybe setting up traps along the way. The offending team is destructing everything in sight including kicking down windows, blowing through floors, and shooting through walls to either kill off the opposing team or secure the objective. Almost every game is a new experience with new people with new abilities and different play styles so nothing ever feels repetitive. It doesn't matter if you are on offense or defense, this game is intense from start to finish. Cons: No campaign and so far the servers have been really jerky Pros: Everything else. Seriously. I'm impressed and can't get enough of this gameplay. Buy it

I love and hate this game at the same time. The gameplay is really intense and I think the operators are very well thought out. The level design and destruction is superb. When this game is good it's really good but there are fundamental net code and in game systems issues that really make it a frustrating experience. It's very frustrating when you get headshotted and instantly killed by someone you can't even see yet because your connection to the server might be a little bit slower than theirs. Or someone rushes the spawn and kills half your team because they can leave the objective they're supposed to be guarding with no real penalty. Since there is no respawn you have to wait 5 minutes to play again and hope that you can help your teammates by calling out stuff. You also have to GRIND to unlock new characters unless you buy the season pass. (At least 15+ MP hours per character) I find this a shoddy tactic to get you to put more money into the game. Also, you essentially cannot play this game without a stereo headset as it gives a huge advantage to have one since hearing your opponent running around is so important. Playing by yourself? Don't, you will have a bad time because almost no one communicates.

I read some reviews and against by better judgment i purchased this game because I am a huge fan of the Rainbow Six series. The game has hardly any single player options. Single player consists of training sequences and they are a bit boring due to you not being able to choose a personal load out to complete the mission, you are forced to use basic loadouts that are picked for you. Then there is the multiplayer you can choose to add weapon options but only for the specific weapons that the characters that you have to choose from has pre picked for them. Playing multiplayer gets boring fast due to the monotony. Same game over and over... rescue the hostage or diffuse the bomb. this limits you to play the game in almost one room of the whole map. The maps are very small I give this three stars because the game has a quality of difficulty that other first person shooters don't offer. I won't own this game long, I am sure I will get bored with it in a few weeks and go back to playing Fallout4 If i could due it all over again I would same the 60$ and buy something with a bit more options.

I don't know if I've ever been as intimidated to be a n00b in an online game the way I was when I first played Rainbow Six Siege. You're in a room with four other dudes, barricading the inside of the house, waiting in dread for the terrorists to break in and kill you. Let me say, I hate being in any room with four other dudes, but never before did I want to stay close to them in fear of my life. Kills happen very fast in this game, this is no Halo stuff, if you the enemy sees you before you see him, you mind as well kiss your bloody keister goodbye. The game is much better if you have a headset, and communicate with your team. This is key if you want to stay alive. Let me say though, the only time I've got a kill is when I caught the enemy looking at a picture of Harambi. (pictured below) I tried to get my best friend Leet Larry to play the game with me, but he is simply too scared. I highly recommend this game though, it's a great squad shooter and a breath of fresh air that I so desperately needed from the Call of Duty franchise.

Really Fun Game - With a Very High Learning Curve

I really enjoyed the original Rainbow Six games, which placed an emphasis on stealth, planning, and methodical missions. The franchise kind of branched out into a more "arcadey" FPS but Rainbow Six Siege is really returning to its roots. Missions demand teamwork, patience, and use of your operator's gadgets and abilities. It's frustrating how the in-game currency works for unlocking weapon attachments, skins, and operators, but that's pretty standard fare for games (thanks Call of Duty). The true joy of this game happens when you blast down a wall with your shotgun, melt a floor with your explosives, shock an enemy operator with your stun drone, or knock down a door with a massive sledgehammer. The game has a very, very steep learning curve, but one that is rewarding. There are tons of gadgets and tactics to learn, and the maps are INCREDIBLY detailed. It takes many, many hours to learn each nook and cranny for hiding, ambushing, and outsmarting your enemies. No one is truly safe in these maps. It's an enjoyable game if you can get it for less than $20.

I played the beta and enjoyed it, but felt like something was lacking. I didn't buy this on release day. A month after release, I'm playing at a friends and noticed how much better the game is from the last beta in terms of feel. So I went out and bought it. Now I'm addicted. The game is intense and requires a lot of mic-talk in the PvP portion. Things can get crazy and requires a lot of patience and thought to be successful. The great thing is that if you get bored with PvP, you can always play Terrorist Hunt mode and work as a 4 player team to take down enemy AI in different situations to advance your character. The two elephants in the room for me are this: 1) No campaign. I would have loved a campaign. And as much as I thought the game wasn't worth $60 because it was lacking one, I'm wrong. The campaign would just be icing on the cake. I think it could have been fun and unique. 2) It takes way too long to accrue in-game currency (you earn it via your performance in PvP and PvE). It's like pulling teeth, imo. Overall, great game, good experience, and very intense.

Online only game. The only single player aspects are some "situations", which are training camps for different operators. Everything else is online, so make sure you're mic'd up for this game. Teamwork is a must. After leveling up to 20 in Casual Multiplayer, Ranked players take this quite a bit more seriously. Graphics are great; destruction across the map, bullet trails, etc. Sound is really good, actually. Play in a quiet room, you'll need to hear the enemy movement to get a drop on them. The only thing that is a CON for this game is their SERVERS! For an online only, when the servers are down, what can you do? That was a big problem a couple of months ago, now it appears that their servers are doing ok, for now. All in all, great game, addicting, and with more operators coming out throughout the year, you'll be in the honeymoon phase with this game for a good while.

One of the excellent games. First off I need to talk about the lack of a single player campaign, one could argue there are Situations, but that is no campaign. That leaves you with Terrorist Hunt, which can be played solo or cooperatively online. And the multiplayer, which I'll get into soon The Terrorist Hunt mode is endlessly replayable. Always offering a challenge of smart AI, as well as dynamic and intense encounters that never play out the same Situations are about 10 missions that teach you some of the games mechanics, very basic, but decent Now the multiplayer is the gem here, it's unfairly judged for its lack of customization, zero character creation and limited weapon choice. However if you judge it based on that you're missing the point, this game is to be played like chess, slow thought out menouvers and actions to counter act those of another player. One agent can always counter act another, so each player is highly important. Also this is the most competitive and intense multiplayer I've played

Is an incredibly fun and rewarding multiplayer fps. Unlike call of duty of battlefield, rainbow six siege has a pretty decently sized learning curve. It requires teamwork, experience, attention to sounds such as Windows breaking etc, and most of all, map knowledge. It took me months to learn all of the maps well enough such that I could roam, flank, etc. Ubisoft is updating siege, and has been for the past 2 years. They've added new maps such as the newest map; Theme park. Siege has a lot of replay value, and just when you think you have it down, it's gives you something new to learn. The servers kind of suck though, as it can sometimes kick you out of casual and ranked matches randomly. There is also a fairly large number of smurfs, especially at high silver/Low gold. This makes it increasingly difficult to climb out of these ranks as you see yourself playing against platinum and diamond players.

This game has it's moments. It can be a *ton* of fun, but there are a few major flaws keeping it from true greatness. One of the bigger ones is the number of cheaters out there. I can deal with one or two, but the number of untraceable hacks out there is unfortunate (PC is bad, Xbox has less from what I've seen, though still numerous). There are glitches here and there- normally I wouldn't sweat them, but they are intentional and hide things that will one-hit-kill you...which makes you have to wait a bit to get back to it. The concept is cool, the graphics are nice enough, but I feel like it needed a little more time in the oven. Worth checking out if you are interested in tactical shooters for sure, there isn't much else like it and it definitely has it's awesome and tense moments. Not much SP content- enough to give you an idea of some of the things to expect, so this is a "best with friends on the net" affair.

I was hesitant about buying this game after watching some videos online and reading other reviews. I finally decided I needed a new multiplayer game and my purchase. This game is unlike any other FPS. It's like one big game of Hide and Seek or Homealon. You don't necessarily create your own class, you unlock operators that have different skills and gear. My favorite part about the game is that it is very strategic. The defending team can setup traps, barricades, barbed wire, C4, gas, use cameras and so on. Choosing which operator you want to play as will change how you play the entire round. While some operators are better than others they all play very important roles in forifying your base or breaching a reinforced steel wall. This game is lots of fun. Although I could see it getting old or boring after a few months I plan on playing other games here and there then coming back to play a few rounds as time progress'.

This game has a unique aspect. However, it was executed poorly. The game relies on online multiplayer. This is where the issues start. The connections online are pretty bad most of the time. Sometimes I have a good connection and other people don't or vice versa. Secondly, there is a ratio of loading to actual play that just turns me off of this game. It takes quit a while to load the map for a very quick round. However, the biggest problem is about 60 percent of matches involve teammates who join to shoot everyone and then leave the match. So finding a match one time took me about 40 minutes before we could start a 5 minute game. Another time some guy kept shooting me so I turned and killed him and got suspension and penalties for 30 minutes. The operators were a unique aspect, but I can't give a game a high rating with issues like this.

The Rainbow Six franchise has always been known for having great tactical team based gameplay and this game is no different. However, this game is is primarily intended for multiplayer online gaming. The gameplay is a blast to play with friends online and others in the online community but there are not many game modes to choose from. There are competitive modes like the standard 5 V 5 death match and cooperative modes like 5 player Terrorist Hunt. Every mode is well crafted and you will spend plenty of time learning the ins and outs of each map. My only gripe is the lack of single player content. Although there are a few short training missions to familiarize you with the gameplay, there is absolutely no story mode, which is absolutely disappointing for fans of previous games in the franchise.

Overall, this is a great game. It is fun, challenging, and far from your basic shooters. It requires strategy, patience, and time. You can't run into maps guns blazing. You have to communicate and work together to take down whatever the objective is. The reason I gave this 4/5 stars is simple, its hard playing solo. Yes there are a few situations (which are basically tutorials) that you can do on your own, but overall you need friends! All of my friends bought this game and we play together which makes it fun and challenging. However, when I play by myself it is miserable most times. When an entire team isn't communicating or on the same note, you lose badly. Rainbow 6 is a MUST HAVE for lovers of online shooters because it is different. However, be prepared to have some friends buy copies as well or make friends online because it is not a game for solo players.

This game is a different take on shooters in that there is alot more realism involved. There is a small single player mode to get you accustomed to things but the game does a bad job of giving you a good over view of all of the gadgets and movement options. You basically just figure it out along the way. these single player missions are called situations. Each one has an objective and they are really fun on their own. I hope they add more via DLC. Once you hop online you have two modes: Terrorist hunt, where you and a group have to neutralize a defending enemy group. Multiplayer, 5 on 5 best of 3(or 5 - cant remember) where you alternate being the attackers or defenders. This game really requires a group of friends to get the most enjoyment but you you play a few missions by yourself online with your mic on you will likely meet a few people you can add to play with later.

The game is very well animated, with great motion, however, the characters get caught on objects, occasionally resulting in player death. The matches are fun, great to play with friends. Squads can take a while to load and you must snag your desired operator before another player gets it, if that is the one you truly want. Each operator is specialized and can be used for different methods of attack. You can use a click of the right or left thumb sticks to lean around cover without exposing your entire character's body as a target. All is well in this aspect. However, far too often a character is moving quickly to attempt to get behind cover and get caught between or beside objects and cannot gain cover, resulting in the character being shot by the opposing team. Not good for blood pressure. It happens often enough to be of notice to many players.

It's back on the next gen systems and although the ability to take cover is gone (booo) the overall game is gripping and a lot of fun to play. The graphics and audio are much improved but there is also not a single player campaign. But don't think you have to do multi-player for this title...so long as you have an internet connection you can still do the various game situations (which is you versus the PC) and you can also do lone wolf terrorist hunt. Of course the real fun to be had if you're not too shy is the multiplayer and although it's a bit wonky at times with hit detection recent patches have improved it a good bit. If you've played R6 on previous systems or you are just sick of the run and gun of the Call of Duty's of the world, this is the thinking mans answer to your proverbial prayers!

This game was great at first till the situation game play was over and I moved on to the multilayer. I keep getting error messages, connection failure messages, it will freeze and lag if do get into a match before it kicks me out. Ubisoft website has a forum section were several people complain about the same thing with no help or response from the support team. I don't think they know what to do to handle the mass amount of people playing on multilayer on their servers. I thought it was my Internet but it is fine and I put in COD 3 on multilayer and it worked great. Does Ubisoft care about this issue and it customers who can't play a game that they bought? I've waited a long time for this game and I can't play it!!! Beyond mad about this. Ubisoft fix this issue!!
