Customers admire the VIA 1525M 5" GPS for its ease of use, accurate GPS navigation, and lifetime map updates. Many appreciate the device's reasonable price and larger screen, finding it easy to navigate and use. While some users experienced issues with battery life and the mount, the positive feedback on navigation accuracy and ease of use outweighs these concerns. The inclusion of helpful features like lane guidance is also frequently praised.

All I need is a GPS to get from point A to B - I wasn't interested in additional features. This GPS does the job, with a few additional features that are helpful. It shows you how far it is the the next gas station on your route (which was helpful to me on a recent 5-hr trip), but I did notice that it missed a couple of gas stations that were closer. There aren't a lot of options, but it gets the job done. For the price, I'm super happy with this product.

This GPS is easy to use in the sense that I did not read into a manual to understand how to operate it. It also takes me exactly where I want to go and how - meaning if I want to avoid highway or tolls.

I have had Tom toms before but not in a while. Decided to give them a try and I am really disappointed. This unit lags, interface is clumsy and slow. Bought it for my Miata and used the sticky pad on the dash and found the unit on the floor the next day. Moved it to my work vehicle and tried to get used to it but it's slow. You enter a letter and it takes two to three seconds for it to register. Has good sound but tries to send me down one way streets the wrong direction. The biggest gripe is I have to enter the city or zip code every time i want to input a destination. With all the small towns around here this is a hassle compounded by the lag it's really frustrating. By the time I get the address into the thing I could have driven there. Going back to Best Buy and exchange for a Garmin. This is why I love Best Buy!

This unit works very well right out of the box and even better after the updates! Small enough not to hinder vision, large enough to be able to see it.

Had to get this for a trip to Florida across four states to get there and it worked flawlessly. It has a great easy to understand screen and notifies of traffic cams, gas stations, toll roads, speed limits and dims automatically once it starts to get dark out. Easy to use and understand while driving. It gives you plenty of notice before exits and turns. Highly recommend this unit.

This Tom Tom Via 1525 replaces a Go 620 I had. The new one has a better touchscreen, but the old one was a little easier to use because it had more items you could change settings on, and could process a little faster. Overall the new GPS is still a good buy.

So far GPS has functioned well in city and highway driving. However, the touch screen is often delayed and sticky, which increases destination programming time.

I bought the TomTom - VIA 1525M 5" GPS with Lifetime Map Updates and I love it. This product is reasonably priced and easy to use, and so far, it's been dead accurate.

So I ended up returning this device to the store because I was not 100 percent happy with the device. It does have a great mount, and even with a lot of sunlight you can still see the screen fairly easy. However, the screen is very unresponsive. It lacks on "processor-ability" maybe? Either way, you click on something that don't expect it to be instant. No connection methods other than USB. So if you want to download anything to it, you have to connect it to a computer and upload it that way. I realize this is an introductory one that doesn't have all the bells and whistles. So spend a little more and get the one with blutooth / WIFI. It makes sending a route to it difficult. Also, none of Tom Tom's maps include off road / dirt trails. Which was really why I was getting it. That was a deal breaker for me. I wanted something I could navigate off road with. MPH limits were off, sometimes by 10 MPH. So that might have been just a roads update, but I updated my maps before doing anything with it. So all in all, average device with mediocre features. Would definitely recommend getting the step-up from this device. Seems like all the off road ones were at least in the 500 range and above.

not as happy with the tom tom . it does the job but can be confusing because as you drive the direction on the screen does not go the direction your going sometimes it points to the side others it points backwords . at first I thought it just always pointed true north but that is not the case , I prefer the Garman but at the time there were none available .

Easier to use than GPS units I've owned in the past. Only problem is there's no speaker jack and no Bluetooth. Didn't realize that when I ordered it.
