I first played Tony Hawk on a demo disc over 25 years ago. It only had one level. I was blown away buy the gameplay and had to get a copy of the full game. It still holds up today. I got this remastered version when it released and also bought it for family members. This version has a larger soundtrack than the original. Ability to create stages. Great graphics and even the ability to play at higher frame rates (120) if your tv supports it. Highly recommend. If you are new to the series, check out some tutorials online so you can figure how to do tricks, combos, and manual.

For many folk Tony Hawk's PRo Skater was their first "hands-on" intro to Skateboarding and too a bunch of good music that you didn't know you would enjoy until you heard it , especially repeatedly while pulling off some crazy grind then ollie over a gap onto another ledge. That said this Updated Tony Hawk's Pro Skater brings all that nostalgia to date and adds a bunch more, including customizing while updating other things. I would definitely recommend it for that simple sake. Also, it's just a fun game and it's something you, friends , fam and SOs can enjoy together or at a distance.

Super fun game! Feels like I never put the controller down. The soundtrack is epic! It really took me back. The updated graphics are great.

THPS 1+2 is an excellent remaster of the first two critically acclaimed games. The revamped graphics, new interface for the home screen and customization for Create-a-Skater and Create-a-Park will appeal to a new player to this legendary series, while the soundtrack, the controls and the skater lineup will also appeal to the veteran player. I have played this series since it’s debut on the classic PlayStation, and I can not say enough great things about this game. I hope if they remake THPS 3 and 4 that they put as much love in that as they did in this game.

An excellent remake of the first two THPS games. The handling and button input feels excellent and spot on for the original games. The levels have been masterfully updated and include clever Easter eggs to Covid and many other new textures. The soundtrack is a mix of classic songs like Superman and Guerilla Radio but also features new songs that fit in well with the original soundtrack. While I managed to complete the base game 100% in around 8-10 hours, the loads of skater challenges and the addition of multiplayer have allowed for hours of extra fun

The Tony Hawk Pro Skater games are my childhood. I've never been into skating in real life at all and neither have my friends but we would always have fun playing any of the THPS games and especially 1 & 2. When this remastered collection was announced it was a dream come true and these games do not disappoint. All the controls and level designs feel the same only with smoother gameplay at 60 fps and beautiful 4k resolution. Now I hope Activision gives THPS 3 & 4 the same treatment next.

If you loved the first several THPS games (before Underground series) you're going to love this. It feels just as good and fun to control, albeit even better. They brought over the reverts, wall slaps and other mechanics from part 3 and 4 and rolled them into here. The sound track is amazing, the collectibles are fun and it's a great game to just pick up for a few minutes if you need to kill time. I was thoroughly impressed and it tickled every nostalgia bone I had.

This is a difficult game and not for amateur gamers. If you can't skate in real life this game might be for you. If you liked the glory days of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 on PS2 you will LOVE this PS4 game as it has the songs, mood, atmosphere, tricks and challenges to keep you busy. But it is hard so fair warning especially to get high scores which is a requirement to advance to other levels in the game.

The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games were a generation defining franchise and seeing the first two games remastered for modern hardware is an absolute dream come true! You can play this game for hours and keep coming to back to it because it is so much fun and an absolute must play!

I used to be a huge fan of Tony Hawk 1 & 2 many years ago. Then, because of the pandemic, I got an XBOX and got Into games with my son. This was one of our 1st purchases as I had visions of my youth. It didn’t let me down! It takes the original, redoes it, and makes it better. And it does it in a way that it doesn’t take away from the beauty of the original. So I got this as a gift for my nephew too who is getting into skateboarding and has a PS4.

Did you play Tony Hawk on the OG PlayStation? This game feels exactly like the old Hawk games with graphics that don't make your eyes bleed. I've played this game nonstop since it's release (as nonstop as a grown-up with a full-time job can anyway... ) And I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. ITS A FUN, GOOD GAME. The soundtrack is as good as ever too! The old classics are there, the new tracks are all good; love it! It's my personal GOTY for 2020

If you were a 90s/00s kid, you probably remember these games. I spent many countless hours trying outscore, and outperform my friends on PS. And whenever I hear songs from these games, it immediately brings back nostalgia! These remasters look great! So happy to repurchase these for the modern era systems. Worth every penny!

I'm so happy this turned out so well. I've been re-playing the original Tony Hawk games off and on every few years since they came out. They're among the best games ever made, they helped define the game era from which they came, and this new remake feels and looks perfect. One minor complaint I had at first was the fact that finishing "career mode" (collecting items and fulfilling goals within two minute sessions) spans across all characters. It used to be you could replay these challenges with each new character. Now they remain checked off even when you skate with someone new. Then I saw that they make up for this by letting you play the career mode challenges any time in the other section of the game, so that fixes that and even makes it a little better, offering speed challenges and online score/rank boards! One other thing I was very happy about is the sharing of created parks! I do not subscribe to Playstation Plus because I'm just not interested in playing online matches for the most part. I was so relieved to find I can still play and search through shared parks without a Plus membership. They add great replayability and people are already turning out impressive and sometimes funny custom parks just a week into the release. Highly hugely recommended. Lots of fun. It's so cool to have this perfected remake of a couple games I've loved and revisited so often. I hope the developers get a well-deserved rest, and, um, are prepping a similar release of THPS 3.

Growing up in the 90’s I played THPS one and two for countless hours and this remake captures all the charm of those games. The sound track is amazing mixing songs from the originals and adding newer songs from bands like Less than jake. MXPX, Zebrahead ECT. A wonderful game and worth the 40 dollars wether you’re a old guy like me who payed the originals or a young buck you’ll love this.

One of the best remasters I’ve ever experienced. If possible, more fun than the original. The graphics are remarkable, both in their execution and in their authenticity to the original. Controls are perfect with the DS4. Gameplay is incredibly entertaining. The soundtrack is thoughtfully updated as well, and has enough tunes for several hours without repeats.

I really enjoy this game, it takes me back to play one of my favorite games in HDR 4k glory. The music is the first thing that really brings joy, hearing great punk and rap songs while I try out some impossible trick is a fun time. I also like how I can play for just a few minutes and bam, I can turn it off and no real reason to get trapped into a story or something.

I cannot get enough of Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 + 2. 2 games for the price of 1, beautifully remastered for the modern era. Definitely pick this up, many fun hours of skating. Plus there is multiplayer where you can skate with people online.

This game is everything I wanted it to be. I fell in love with the original back in 1999 and have played every game in the series over time and grew up with it. To see it remastered with current generation graphics and mechanics is nothing short of remarkable. The level of detail done to remake such a classic is definitely appreciated. Highly recommend!!
