    Refreshing Throwback

90’s kids here. If you’re wondering if it’s just as fun as the originals the answer is YES. If not better since the graphics and flow of how it runs has been updated since the early 2000’s. The soundtrack is awesome like the older skate games in general were! The story missions are just like the original games, simple yet challenging (each level has over 10 goals and you have about 1 min and 30 seconds to get as much done as you can). I haven’t played the online yet but I know it won’t dissapoint. You can play as pro skaters or create your own and design their looks/board etc + change their skill points as you put the work in! If you’re wondering if this game is a cash grab like the last few skateboard games have been this is not one of those games!! Got it for my PS4 and will most likely buy it for my xbox! 10/10 I hope they remaster TH underground 1 & 2 next!!

The original two games were a huge influence in my childhood. Now it’s remastered, bundled together, and more that I asked? To me this is the perfect game; gameplay, graphics, and soundtrack are just so good. I hope people get to experience the same I did back in ‘99 and ‘00.

I’ve played a few Tony Hawk games in my time, but never the originals. The game is short. There’s no dialogue. You have 2 minutes to do goals. Not a lot of options on create a skater. It’s just a basic game and I’m okay with that. You jump right into the tutorials and start playing. For $40 it’s not bad, anything higher than that and it’s a waste of money.

This remake is a dream come true! It is exactly what I wanted, which is essentially the original games with way better graphics and soundtrack intact (mostly). They are as much fun to play today as they were 20+ years ago. There are several new skaters in the game in addition to the original roster plus you can make your own character. You can skip songs and adjust your soundtrack to what you want to hear. Music plays through menus and does not restart when you reload. Most of the original soundtracks are here, plus a whole bunch of new awesome songs that feel like they would have fit right in when the game originally released. There is multiplayer, create a park feature, and leader boards if that stuff interests you. These games are pure fun no matter your skill level. It is a must buy! If you played them years ago, it will feel like riding a bike. I really hope a THPS 3&4 remaster our coming out way next, I will be there day 1!

I first played Tony Hawk on a demo disc over 25 years ago. It only had one level. I was blown away buy the gameplay and had to get a copy of the full game. It still holds up today. I got this remastered version when it released and also bought it for family members. This version has a larger soundtrack than the original. Ability to create stages. Great graphics and even the ability to play at higher frame rates (120) if your tv supports it. Highly recommend. If you are new to the series, check out some tutorials online so you can figure how to do tricks, combos, and manual.

This remaster does a great job capturing the spirit of the original two Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games. I played the series on PSX/PS2, from THPS1 through Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, with countless hours put in to each of the titles (but especially with the first four in the series). The gameplay/trick set is roughly equivalent to THPS 3 (including flatland tricks, reverts, etc), and the skater roster borrows from that game as well (including Rodney Mullen, for example). The music from the first two games are largely intact as well, with some cool new songs thrown in. The feel of the gameplay doesn't seem to be copied 1:1 from any of the other THPS games, which makes me think it might have been a rebuild on some newer engine. But to my memory, the gameplay in this remaster feels extremely close to the refined and polished gameplay of the third or fourth THPS games. I'd recommend this to anyone who was a fan of these games when they were originally released. Hopefully they put together another HD-remastered collection for THPS 3+4!

Bought this for a childhood friend of mine. He loved it. Now, I'm going to get my own copy. The reason? It's a remake done right. The remade game brings in some quality of life improvements like reducing the time it takes from falling and getting back on your board so you can continue to have fun and work on your tricks. Graphics are beautiful and locations look fantastic. If you are thinking about buying this for your son or daughter, you're a good parent. If you are thinking about buying this for yourself or friend, you got great taste :) I don't even skate but I enjoyed this game back in 2000. I still don't skate but I love this game.

Great to see this game come back, even if just for nostalgic reasons. This game came out at a perfect time for me, a young teenager who loved skateboarding and video games. The soundtrack was also perfect and love they brought back most of it. If they didn't do that and had a completely new soundtrack it would have ruined the game for me. Very good upgraded graphics and fun to play again now that I'm much older. Just cruising around these maps again hearing these songs brings back tons of memories, wish I was a kid again!

This game takes one of the games I spent what feels like hours of my life on and makes it so much better. Everything is so smooth and the add on of the manual for longer tricks is awesome! I never would have thought this game would be brought back to current times but here we are! If you like skate games this should be on you list!

Love this game!! Takes me back to the summers I spent playing split screen with my brother on our old PlayStation. Awesome touch adding a lot of the same songs from the original game. The online multiplayer feature is also a bonus. Would recommend whether you grew up play Tony Hawk as a kid or are just trying for the first time

A worthy remake! An awesome throwback to original classics....the muscle memory kicked in quickly and the combos were flowing as if it were 1999 all over again! From the soundtrack to the updated graphics, this game is a no-brainer for everyone who enjoyed the originals. WELL DONE!

As with many of the people who probably bought this, I played these games as a kid and the music and skating, and just awesome feeling of "being a skater" just came flooding back as soon as I booted it up. Great re-done intro with Guerilla Radio blaring. Visually, the game looks amazing, everything is very polished, and the updates are all very tasteful while still feeling old school. Split screen is back, so couch co-op is totally doable. Some cool online modes are included, even though I'm super rusty and can't hold a candle to a lot of people online. Music is still amazing. Most of the titles are back, with some really great additions that match the theme and feel of the game. Nothing like turning on Superman by Goldfinger and ripping around School II. Seriously, buy this game. $40 for unlimited awesomeness.

Tony Hawk is back in true form. This game combines the best two thps games and adds elements of the other games to make the ultimate experience. Thanks to the attention and care and the use of gameplay and geometry code from Neversofts old games they have managed to make a game that not only looks amazing but also plays so smoothly. If you liked the old games and want to relive them or if are looking for a new fun game to play this is a must play. Although you may feel like this is just an exact remake they have made changes with adding moves, updating the graphics and including challenges and collectable to make it feel familiar and new at the same time.
