Class act of a movie. Shouldn't have taken so long for the sequel but worth the wait. Actually probably better than the first movie, Top Gun, but Top Gun had to come first. The relationship between Tom Cruise' character (Maverick) and Val Kilmer's character (Iceman) very poignant as well as the way Val Kilmer's real live bout with cancer was woven into the movie. Very well done.

I watched Top Gun Maverick expecting an action packed movie! Tom Cruise delivered just that! Not only did was Top Gun Maverick action packed, the characters genuinely cared about each other and the mission . Maverick never gave up on the task at hand regardless of every obstacle that came his way. He is a true hero who would give his life to save his friends and country!

This movie was a step above the original "Top Gun", it focuses on the action and the story line, showing what true fighter pilots have to do to become everything they're needed to be, rather than the love story, which is a sub story to the full story. The maneuvers were nothing short of amazing, and it shows us how much the human spirit is capable of.

Absolutely on of the best Top Gun movies produced. The aerial shots are almost beyond belief. The xtra(s) on the disc show how much effort was exerted in its production. The plot is believable and the action shots on the Navy carrier are action packed. Great Movie ! Got to watch it more than once to see all the plots.

If you enjoyed the first Top Gun, I think you'll really enjoy this. If you've not seen the first one, I would consider watching it in advance. There are plenty of callbacks, and you might find the context helpful. It can definitely stand alone, though, as a non-stop adrenaline ride of aeronautic artistry.

This is a rare sequel that gives you everything you loved from the original movie and surpasses your expectations. It's exciting to know that the main actors did all their own aerial shots in which many of them had to be trained. A must see film of the year! A cinematic masterpiece!!

I received my copy of Top Gun Maverick on Christmas break.I invited the whole family over to watch it. It is the best movie I have watched in a very long time. My total family gave it a A+. It's moved to my most favorite movie of all time. It's absolutely a A+ from me.

Does not dissapoint! I think this storytelling/production easliy surpasses the original... but then again everybody's upped their game since, so maybe it isn't such a fair comparison. Just get to popping the corn and hunkering down for some fun with this one!

This Top Gun got excellent reviews and I agree it was a good movie. But honestly it's hard to top the original with all the good actors, the classic 80's music soundtrack. My only question is, why did it take so long to create the sequel?

This film is better everytime I watch it. Limited availability at the retail store, so I also bought a disc copy on-line. No commercials, no interruptions, and never edited -- that's why I don't watch on online service. Cool film extras included too.

Great movie with everything that made the original so successful! However, this movie stands completely on its own with the only details needed from the original provided in flashback. Tom Cruise delivers once again in this story of action and redemption.

Wow holy cow!!! I saw this in the theater twice and wow what a film. Tom just delivered a powerful view into the future of film. Awesome and I didn’t give a second chance to own it on blue ray and digital form in my phone.

Waaayy Better Than The Original Top Gun!!! There actuallly is a story and more interesting characters. The first movie was about some young and smug hotshots. So boring!! This has a more mature cast and characters.

A great movie that honors the first Top Gun and brings a new modern dynamic to Maverick Top Gun. The video was well done with all the sound magic, story line and acting . You will not be disappointed when you buy this movie .

Thomas Cruise Mapother IV, you've done it again! An Instant Classic that will stand the test of time. A worthy successor to the '86 Classic. The Cast & Crew really put their heart and soul into this film. Just Buy It!

This is the rare sequel that improves on the original. It hits just enough nostalgia beats, expands on a few callback references and packed with enough action to be exciting without overpowering strong acting performances.

Loved the movie so I know I’d love the Blu-ray. The color and detail and sound is better than any streaming video. Of course is not 4K but I’m not ready to spend couple hundred bucks on a 4K player so Blu-ray does just fine.

After having seen the first Top Gun and absolutely loving it, I had to see this one!! Very cool “flashback” spots throughout this one, and the decency to bring back some of the cast from the first I definitely applaud!
