I returned this movie and bought a 4K version from Amazon... a retailer that doesn't hate their customers.

I was sort of disappointed there wasn't an audio commentary. The featurettes were interesting but there weren't any deleted scenes.

This is a fantastic movie! It's a shame that the 4K and the bluray didn't come in the same package. Finding the 4K packages were easy, but finding the bluray was relatively difficult. I had to drive a bit out of my way to get this in bluray so my mom could watch it on her equipment. If the bluray had been part of the 4K package I could have just bought that for her, the prices were so similar. Best Buy is not responsible for that, so they get 5 stars for having it in stock and their online stock does indeed represent what they have in store unlike some other stores.

This is a great movie! It’s too bad it took so long to come out. Sequel’s are not usually the best but this one held up.

If you have not seen Top Gun, watch it first before watching Top Gun: Maverick. Lots of subtle ties ins from this movie to the original. Audio: Dolby Atmos is incredible especially if you have quality speakers and good woofers. Video: Outstanding. Hold onto your seats. The bigger the screen the better enjoyment Acting: Excellent Story: Excellent This is a MUST BUY movie.

I knocked down a star for two reasons: 1) the Blu-Ray did not come with a DVD copy and 2) the closing scene and credits didn't use The Righteous Brothers' "You Lost That Loving Feeling." I always enjoyed having the extra DVD copy. I would loan it to my parents who don't own a Blu-Ray player. They're old fashion. When Top Gun came out, the movie introduced "You Lost That Loving Feeling" to my generation as teenagers. I was already familiar with the song because The Righteous Brothers were and still are one of my mom's favorite acts. It would've been nice to introduce that song to a whole new generation. But the producer decided to go contemporary with Lady Gaga. As for the movie itself, it was lots of fun to watch! It definitely paid a respectful tribute Top Gun. The scene between Maverick and Ice Man was touching and funny. Personally, I found the mission to be oddly similar as the Death Star trench run in A New Hope. Fly through a narrow and treacherous path and hit a very small target without getting killed by the enemy. I wonder if anyone else saw the similarities?? The movie did not leave me in tears like some reviewers have stated. Overall, it's a great movie to watch. I'm glad it was finally made.

I'm afraid it lived up to the hype. Had very high expectations, was NOT disappointed, Great story telling, attractive cast, great special effects, wonderful cinematography. I don't expect Hollywood blockbusters to be realistic. No the pilots are too young compared to reality. That was said about the original. I expected to be engaged and thrilled. That's more realistic to expect from this blockbuster. Decided against the 4k version as it didn't offer the standard bluray version.

good sequel very fast paste maverick always pulls it off

Great movie for adults. Action packed and parts of it were filmed close to our vacation cabin.

It was worth the wait for this sequel. Although the plot line is less believable than the original Top Gun, there is still plenty of action. The jet sequences are still as exciting as the original. The sound is excellent for a home theater set up, especially if you have rear speakers. The extra’s included pull back the curtain on some of the movie making magic.

Great movie. Waited for it to come out on blue ray so I could add it to my collection.

I really love this movie. The planes, the characters, and the action scenes are all enjoyable to watch. The use of real fighter jets is really what makes this movie not only sound great, but it looks great as well. For the best viewing experience, I recommend having a theater system set up or at least a soundbar. This movie really does deserve it.

TOP GUN MAVERICK is fantastic! I wasnt sure after all these years if the story could work or not, BUT its excellent! Saw it 3 times at the drive inn and now im just loving the bonus extras! Im hoping there will be a directors cut later with even more bonus material! But this is a great movie that does NOT dissapoint!
