Great little "range extender" type battery pack

Normally my battery pack purchases are the larger 20k+mah variety. Ones that can charge multiple devices multiple times over. This is my first time using a battery pack that's on the smaller side, and I have to say I'm quite pleased with it. The battery came to me with only 25% charge, so the first thing I did was charge it to full. It doesn't come with a brick though so you need to supply your own. I dug into my storage box and and old 12w Apple charger meant for earlier pre usb-c iPads. It charged the Torras from 25% to full in about an hour and a half. I was going on a quick overnight trip and instead of bringing my usual setup of bricks and cables to charge my phone, and watch, I decided to just bring this and see how it goes. I really enjoy that it can charge two devices at once. So I slapped it on my iPhone 14 Pro and plugged in a usb-c to apple watch cord a charged my series 7. I let it go over night on the night stand. In the morning both were fully charged and ready to go. I did notice that it will stop charging the devices once they reach 100% which is actually something that I enjoy. Rather than letting the battery continuously top off the device, it hits 100% then stops. To get it to start charging again without removing the battery pack from the device, just tap the power button and it'll turn on. Or you can remove it and put it back on then it starts up again. After an over night charge of two devices, both around 50%, the battery pack still showed 50% itself when I plugged it in. So in theory you should be able to get a full charge of most phones and then a bit extra or a full charge of another smaller device like headphones or a watch. I think of this as more of a "range extender" than a full on power bank. Since you can really only get 1.5 or so charges of a phone it's great for longer day trips where you don't know when you'll get to plug your phone in next. It's small enough to fit in most pockets. It's about as think as my 14 Pro, and similar width, but a bit narrower. I only have two gripes about this, and they're really not that big and wouldn't dissuade me from recommending this. First is I wish the corners were more rounded. I run my iPhone 14 Pro caseless (*gasp*) and the corners of the battery should ideally follow the profile of the iPhone. These are pointier, and stick out ever so slightly beyond the iPhone. If you run a case, which most everyone does, then it would likely sit flush and not be a big deal. 2nd is the bottom 1/4 of the battery doesn't have the same grip that the magsafe ring does. By that I mean it's very easy to slide the bottom of the pack around as it's attached to your device. This could be a bare phone thing and not an issue with a case, but I can feel it slipping around as I'm holding and use the phone with the pack attached. Neither of those issues prevent me from using it on overnight trips. This means I can free up my larger battery pack for other things, like running portable fans or string lights while camping. Overall this is a great pack for overnight trips or long days that you can easily stick in a backpack or pocket. The light weight makes it easy to just take it with you, and slim size prevents it from taking up too much space.

      Hello Cakegirl,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience with the TORRAS MiniMag Portable Charger. We are sorry to hear that it did not meet your expectations.

We want to clarify an important feature of the MiniMag to ensure proper usage. For non-Apple devices, including Android phones, a direct magnetic connection and the full-speed wireless charging will not function unless you are using a separate, compatible MagSafe adapter or case on your Android device. The behavior you described, where the power bank depleted its own battery, likely occurred because it could not establish a stable, recognized connection with your Android phone, causing it to continuously search for a device.

We sincerely apologize for any confusion our product description may have caused. We are continually working to make our product specifications as clear as possible to prevent such misunderstandings.

Thank you for giving TORRAS a try.

      Sincerely,
      TORRAS Customer Service Team. TORRAS

Disclosure warning, this power bank is only compatible with iPhones that have mag safe cases. You can also charge your phone on the wireless charging pad, while charging another device using the included USB-C cable. The MiniMag Power Bank has a sleek design making it easy to carry in your pocket or purse when either in use or not in use. The magnetic strength of the power bank is so strong that it stayed attached when I accidentally dropped my phone. It's very simple and easy to use. Because of how thin it is, you can easily hold the phone comfortably in your hand, forgetting that it's even attached. It doesn't take very long for the power bank to fully charge. There's an indicator light on the back that shows the battery reserve, so you have an idea of when the power bank should be recharged. It does get slightly warm while in use but nothing that would cause concern or discomfort. It charged the phone from 20% to 100% in less than 15 mins. Overall, this is a super convenient portable charging option because I don't have to worry about wires pinching up in my pocket or bag. Would highly recommend!!!

This has to be the best, portable, wireless, mag-safe power bank available! I wasn’t sure how this would work, but I have been testing this week and I can honestly say that it has been great to carry with me during my weekly commune and has performed as advertised. The TORRAS Power Bank snaps on to the back of your iPhone fast and securely (depending on the case you have on your iPhone). So with my testing, this power bank works best with iPhone without a case on it, or with a branded apple mag-safe case due to the magnet strength that these options provide. You can use an aftermarket case but the power bank does have a little weight to it and it might slide around a bit if the case does not have strong magnets. So the instructions are a little confusing that come with the power bank so I will sum it up. If you attach the power bank to the iPhone it will immediately turn on and start charging your phone. This is very convenient as it eliminates you having to press a button and turn it on yourself. Once attached and charging it does seem to charge fairly quickly for the 7.5w output it has been advertised to have. There is a way to get the full 15w and that is to use a usb-c cable to attach the power bank to your phone. Another cool feature this has, is when you have it charging your phone, you can connect another device using a usb-c cable and the power bank will actually charge both devices at once. I think this is a really cool feature that I didn’t even know it had. The physical design of the power bank is very nice. They used premium materials and colors for the exterior of the device. I think it looks really good especially if you attach to the iPhone without a case. This power bank does not only work with iPhones, it can charge anything that has a wireless charging capability. I have tested this with my AirPods case and another wireless phone that is non MagSafe and they both worked perfectly. There is a slow charging mode that im not exactly sure why you would use, but i tested this and it does charge, but i cannot attest to the reason. All in all this is a great wireless charger and its small and convenient form factor makes it a pleasure to carry around especially on a daily basis for commuting to work. It gets a SOLID recommendation from me.

The charger is sleek and very minimal. It can fit in any pants pocket. It only has one USB-C port to charge. It is a 5000mAH portable charger. My phone charged decently fast for such a small form factor when I charged it. On the first initial charge for the portable charger, it didn't take too long to fully charge. Roughly less than 2 hours The charger has flashing lights to indicate charging and is fully charged, It also comes with an integrated magnet on the back. You can keep it attached to your phone when charging. Keep in mind if you have a phone case, you will not be able to use this feature. Unless your case has metal inside it. I do wish the charger had a standard USB-A port as well. That is the only drawback with the charger. you only get one USB-C port. Overall. it's a sleek, lightweight, and minimal charger that will charge your phone or smaller accessories. The charger won't take up much space and can be stored anywhere. It will keep a device charged all day when the time comes.

For example, with an iPhone 15 Pro Max, the wireless charging function can take the battery from 0% to 63% in approximately 146 minutes, while the wired charging function can take the battery from 0% to 69% in about 58 minutes. Please note that actual charging times and charges may vary depending on the device model, condition, and other factors. We appreciate your understanding!

The Torras Slim MiniMag wireless power bank works extremely well with MagSafe iPhones as well as very well as a super slim power bank for devices that don't support MagSafe. With the iPhone 13 Pro Max, it perfectly fits on the back side of the phone and doesn't extend much beyond the thickness of the camera bump. The magsafe hold is very strong and I can easily slide the combo into my pocket and keep charging. With my S22 Ultra, it is slim enough that I can carry it in my pocket with the provided usb cable and charge the phone at a healthy 15-18W. Wireless charging for the S22 ultra seems to be limited to about 5W but I don't have a good way to test this. That would be the expected charging speed for this type of device though. I also found the Torras power bank to be really useful for topping up my earbuds at the office - I can sit it on my desk and stick the charging case for my earbuds on it and not need to have wires strewn about everywhere. #Final thoughts# Who is this for: This is a perfect product for anyone with a MagSafe compatible device and is still exceptionally useful even if you don't have MagSafe on your phone. The high wired charging speed plus being able to use with wireless charging for a variety of devices is very handy especially for office workers.

I am in love with this battery bank so far. It is so thin and light that it can go into any shirt’s pocket, making it ultraportable. Even when paired with a phone, it can still fit in a pants’ pocket. The magnet is quite strong and can stay in place even when the case may be a bit thick. The bank can take some time to fully charge. There are small, discreet LED lights that tell the charge status and also when a device is charging. The included USB-C cable is on the short side, which is OK when charging a device right next to it but can be cumbersome when charging the bank. Luckily, I have plenty of long cables available. There is an on/off button to check battery status which is convenient. Wirelessly, the bank charges my phone and earbuds quickly, and even faster when using the USB-C option. It even kept up with my handheld gaming device and tablet, extending my gaming or usage sessions. I also appreciate that I can charge 2 devices at the same time (wired-wirelessly), although charging time diminishes significantly. I did not notice the bank get hot at any moment, so it’s safe to charge while in the pocket. If there is a downside, is that the beautiful gray finish can be scratched easily. In the end, I am quite pleased with this wireless bank, and the price is just right.

I am power user with my phone and I am not allowed to hook it into my computer at work to charge it. So having a mobile battery pack is essential for me. This battery back is great for my iPhone 15 Pro Max as it attaches to the back and powers up and charges my phone quickly! The capacity is a Lithium Ion Battery 5000mAH at its MAX capacity but rated for roughly 3000mAH in my testing. What's this mean? Well the levels of pre charging the battery pack top out at 5 "bars" or more so dots on the front of pack. It was able to fully charge my Phone with 3 full dots. It had some over which was nice for that just incase moment. AFter a week of using this battery pack I have to say I really enjoyed it because its lightweight, its stylish looking ( gun metal grey) and its fast charging. It never felt bulky in my hands and could walk around with it and I even set it on the desk at work and never noticed it get super warm or hot. It actually stayed cool to touch the whole time. Pros: Has a Button on side to quickly check power left in pack Lightweight USBC Plug Sticks directly to back of iPhone If you're like me and need a battery pack that will work when you need it and want to have one on the go directly to your iPhone, this is the one!

I have gone through several power banks as I'm constantly on the go and I'm using my phone along way. I'm either taking pictures, or I'm on the web looking up items. The Torras Slim MiniMag Wireless Power Bank 5000mAh is the smallest power bank I have ever seen or used up to this point. Guess what? This little bad boy really does the job. Inside the box are the power bank, a USB-C cord for charging and the instruction book. The power bank took roughly about 90 minutes to fully charge up. Once the power bank is fully charged it's ready to go. With an iPhone, the power bank connects magnetically and charges directly to the phone. If roughly added about 20 percent in about 25 minutes on my first use. 5000mAh in this little bank is very impressive. The power bank is slightly larger length-wise than a credit card. It is small enough to fit inside your pocket and still has plenty of space leftover. It is perfect for using at home, in your car or even while travelling. At this point, I am not finding any issues with this power bank. The Torras Slim MiniMag Wireless Power Bank 5000mAh is highly recommended.

I always carry a portable charger with me when I travel and many times I forget or have the wrong device charger on me. This handy device solves that issue by allowing your wireless capable devices to charge the same as on a regular wireless charger. It has magnetic charge ring that allows the device to be used while snugly attached to your device. It is very light weight and thin and your phone can be used effortlessly when it is attached. It does not get very hot and is barely noticeable when attached. It charges fast and I can charge my phone several times on a full charge. There are indicator lights that show you how much charge is left. The charge input is USB-C so it can be used with most charge cables you already own, but there is one included as also. Like almost all devices now, there is no AC adapter included, so you will have to purchase separately if needed. The device is so compact and easy to use, I plan to buy several more to keep in our cars and around the house for emergencies or when a quick charge is needed.

The TORRAS - Slim MiniMag Wireless Power Bank comes with a 5000mAh battery in a Titanium Gray finish. The Power Bank supports Apple’s MagSafe technology. The magnets are strong and do a good job of keeping the power bank attached to my iPhone when attached. The power bank comes with a power button that you can use to turn off the power bank when not in use while it’s still attached to your phone. You don’t necessarily have to press the power button to turn the unit on if it’s not already attached to your iPhone. By simply attaching it to the back of your phone, the unit will come on and the MagSafe animation will appear on your phone’s screen. However, if the unit it already attached to your phone and you turned it off previously, then you will need to press the power button to turn it back on. The power bank has a slim profile. It’s much heavier than what I assumed it would be. The power bank does not charge my iPhone as fast as I thought it would. It’s somewhat slow. It’s more of a trickle charger that will help keep your battery from depleting while also trying to charge it. It took nearly an hour for my phone to go from 90% to 100%. I was curious if plugging into the USB-C port on the power bank, and then plug into the device would yield faster results. Unfortunately, it did not. To see how much battery life is left on the power bank, it uses 3 LED lights. It’s not able to display the percentage in a widget style like the official Apple charger. Overall, it’s a decent power bank but I wish it would charge a bit faster.

    Wireless Charging Doesn't Work

To begin I fully charged the bank before attempting to use it to charge anything. The bank is very light and is very portable which us a huge pro in my book. I do like the sleek and polished look of this bank. Also the lighted dots do a great job of letting me know how much juice is left in the bank. I had to take the case off of my phone to get the bank to magnetically stick to my phone and wirelessly charge. This is where things go wrong. While the phone was charging I put it down and left for about 30 minutes. When I came back, my phone was very hot and it did not charge that much. So the wireless charging is useless. Wired charging works fine and the bank did it's job. I am only giving this bank three stars because the wireless did not work for me. That is too bad because this bank is small and light enough to wirelessly charge your phone while it's in your pocket. I would not attempt to charge the phone using the usb cord while it's in my pocket. I am going to keep this bank in my car with the wire in case of an emergency. For the record the phone I was using for this test was a Pixel 6.
