I bought this to replace my failed HD. It was an upgrade from 500 GB. This was my first HD replacement and it went in easily and works well. I saved my info on an external seagate drive. Things came back differently but still it came back.

Bought it to replace 750 GB Toshiba HDD. This one was recommended by toshiba but was cheaper at Bestbuy. The Hard drive is functioning as intended at this time. Considering the factory installed toshiba (different model) failed withing a year, will have to wait at least a year or two before final verdict.

Toshiba - 1TB Internal Serial ATA 2.6 Hard Drive installed and it works quite well. Would buy again. Nice upgrade. Great price.

I have rebuilt and upgraded many Mac notebook computers. These Toshiba drives are very reliable and compatible. And they are usually a bit less expensive than the others.

My Sony's hard drive crashed during a routine maintenance checkup. It was either buy this, have it installed and save all of the memorabilia from my deceased parents or toss the computer. I bought this and all data was backed up successfully, my computer speed increased as well. I have been using the computer now and the only complaint I have is that now when I type the characters slip into previous sentences. A quirk I am sure has to do with the increased speed to which my fingers must adjust.
