I usually prefer the Western Digital brand for hard drives. This Toshiba 1TB is priced well below the comparable Western Digital and although it has a slower spin/response time, it is a great value for my clients that just use their computer for Internet and Email. I will continue using this unit for those clients and pass the savings onto them, but will use the Western Digital Blue for mid range clients. And for higher end users and for gamers I will use Solid State Drives. Over all this unit is worth the money.

Very good product easy to use. Perfect for storage

I purchased this after aquiring a 12 GB base model Playstation 3. This model is nearly $120 dollars less than the 1 TB Playstation 3. I needed more memory for my system, installed this in seconds and now I have more memory than I could possibly need!

Purchased this hard drive to replace a bad HDD in my relative's laptop. Best Buy had it on sale and since this laptop won't be traveling much I felt confident putting it in versus a solid state drive. It was easy to install, the motherboard saw the device, and I was able to easily load a Windows 7 image on it.

This hard drive was inexpensive, so I was apprehensive about purchasing it, but I am very happy with my purchase. My hard drive failed in my laptop so I had to get something to replace it fast and was able to pick up in the store closest to me. Would recommend this to anyone that needs to replace a hard drive!

I have used Toshiba 1TB hard drives before and I've never had a problem with them. For $50 for a full 1TB of storage you can't beat it. Although it's not the fastest hard drive, and it's not a SSD but like I said if you want some extra storage for things like games especially you can't beat this hard drive.

I currently am using it as a second hard drive on my macbook pro. I have the SSD Samsung 850 evo 500 GB as my main hard drive. I do audio recording so I save most, if not all of my music to the Toshiba. With 1000 GB to use I can keep my main drive clean and processing smooth whole I store everything to the Toshiba.

The 160 GB hard driver was never enough for my MacBook. This hard drive came up on sale and the OS utility program made it a snap to transfer ALL my data over to this drive. The only check in was keying in my Office key. If there is a downside is a small amount of noise from the hard drive when it gets super warm.

This drive was a good value and it works perfectly well as a replacement in my son's laptop. No issues with installation.

For the price, this is very good performing drive (read and write speed) with a lot of space. Also very quiet.

This Item competes with other manufactures and does well against same type. Recommend for older and lateral Laptop upgrades under 1TB.

My laptop hard drive failed so I needed one in a hurry with a lot of capacity so I search online and found this Toshiba 1TB at Best buy, very Good price for this very good hard drive.

I purchased this hard drive to replace the one that came stock in my ps4 and it works great. Had no issues with installation and doubled the amount of space i have to download games!

After trying for a whole month to revive and save everything from my corrupt hard drive i finally purchased this as a replacement drive in my laptop. It is amazing, runs great, great write speed and has the longest warranty in it's class! It wasn't on the shelf but boy am I glad I asked for it!!

I bought this storage for my Toshiba Qosmio laptop because the original secondary hard-disk failed. So far I have had 0 problems with the new one, and am happy with my additional 1 TB of storage space, allowing my system drive to remain cleaner, and ensuring that the OS runs smoothly.

I bought this for my son's laptop as he is a gamer. The speedup from a regular 1tb HD was remarkable. It boots instantly and he said he never has to wait for it to catch up.

I bought this hard drive when my last one was broken. I know there are tons of high-end hard drives or SSDs, but for me, this one is the ideal one. Toshiba has a great reputation about it's quality. I've been using this for 3 months, it has been working perfectly! Pretty good.
