Not quite what I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV to use in my library, and mainly because it was a "Toshiba". It turns out that the "Toshiba" lights are no longer actually manufactured by Toshiba anymore. Functionally it is kind of average or sub-average. My daughter said that she could tell the picture quality was not very good, as soon as she saw it. The worst part, for me, at least, is that the audio output jack does not appear to work with a Sennheiser wireless headset (which worked with a Samsung TV and an Insignia TV). Hints: ====== Also, if you use apps, make sure that you MANUALLY do all the updates on the firmware/software! When I tried the Apple TV app, it would come up, but could not log in ("spinning icon"). I did some googling and found a page that said to force the updates manually (using Settings) and I wa happy to find that after doing SEVERAL updates, Apple TV was able to log in. Also, since the headphones didn't work, I took a chance and tried to pair the TV with a bluetooth headphones, and was amazed that it worked! Also, when the bluetooth connects, the TV automatically turns off the speakers! I guess at this point, if I had known about these problems (esp. the wireless headphones), I would have tried something else, but too much trouble to package it up and take it back to the store :(...
