This was a waste of $200. The TV disconnects from the WiFi every time it goes to sleep, which would malfunction the remote. The remote would turn the tv on and off but wouldn’t do anything else. So I had to hold the home button for a long time to get it to repair, reconnect to my WiFi and then I was able to watch tv. Then it got to the point where holding the home button no longer worked, so I had to hold 3 different buttons to get it to cut back on... EVERYTIME I turned my tv on. Now it won’t even discover any WiFi net works unless I factory reset it. The apps force close for no reason. The picture from HDMI input randomly blanks out for up to 4 seconds. And I’ve only had this tv for 2 days. Worst experience ever.

I purchased this TV for my mother. It replaced a 40 inch LCD dragon. The Emerson TV was fine but It was time for a upgrade. The sound was so good I purchased a 50 inch for my self. I am a streaming snob and mostly love Roku. I have tried a few streaming devices. Chromast, Roku, Fire TV. Roku is my favorite. I was a little hesitant about by a TV with fire inside because of the Firestick platform. It tends to freeze at times and apps like Hulu have been known to go out for an entire month and all Hulu can say is that they are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. I never pay for services like Hulu anyway.I was on a trial subscription so they didnt have to refund me or anything but I saw first hand how fire TV had problems on certain apps is my point. But despite all that both TV have been pretty decent. As I said the sound is great 5 or 6 it is really loud. Some sounds may go up and down depending on commercials and what Apps your using at the time

TV impression started out at a 4.5 or so but over time it's been less and less impressive. I bought this as a bed room TV so it wasn't under the same high end requirements as my gaming TV. The reviews seemed well, I plugged it in and was impressed. I didn't use it for a week or so after, turned it on threw on Netflix and half the screen was artifacting. Chopped it up to software, which it was, reset the TV it was fine.. this has since happened 4 to 5 more times. Gets annoying. Finally put some 4K content on it, it looks ok.. colors are pretty bad. I should have exchanged it for the TCL model that cost 50$ more and would if I still could.

Great TV...Just not For a Bedroom

Bought this TV to upgrade a TV in our master bedroom. It is a great TV, great picture and good sound (for TV speakers). Set up was easy enough. There are 2 problems with this TV in a bedroom. First, there is a blue “standby” light on the front that comes on when the TV is off. There is no way to turn off this light so it illuminates the room when we’re trying to sleep. I tried covering the light with electrical tape to find that this is also the location for the remote receiver, so having the tape cover the light rendered the remote control useless. Second, the TV emits very faint, high-pitched beeps all the time, whether or not the TV is powered on. These are so faint that in normal setting they are not an issue. But they are an issue when you’re trying to sleep and have the blue standby light also keeping you awake. Nice TV for the right room. Unfortunately, it’s likely not right for me.

Bought this during Thanks Giving for a steal and it was entirely worth it. I tested this TV alongside a Sharp 55" 4K and this outshone the Sharp so I went with this one even though it is a smaller screen. Sound quality is great and you do not need a sound bar but since I already had one, used it. I tried wired as well as wireless internet and it is very responsive. By default, it would start on the home screen but you can make it switch to a particular HDMI input when you turn it on. It was a bit of a struggle to pair this to the Vizio sound bar via HDMI ARC. The sound quality is pure magic and it was worth the struggle. My earlier TV was connected via Optical and HDMI ARC is a big difference in terms of dialogue clarity and hearing all musical notes. When switching on the TV, it might take a few seconds for the sound bar to connect but after that, no issues.

Got this tv a few weeks back because my old one went belly up, was going to use this one for gaming as well as watching tv, but occasionally when I try to play a PC game, the screen will start to flicker black, when I switch to a different input, such as from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 and back, it stops briefly, then starts in again. Tried every possible setting on the tv and on my computer, plus, I can't really adjust much for settings with my graphics card as it will automatically reset when I click the apply button. I tried a different cable rather than an HDMI, and that didn't work, tried different refresh rates, but then it lags like no other. So if anyone is looking for a 4k TV purely for gaming, especially on the computer, I would not get this one. Otherwise, if you just want to watch a little tv, maybe movie night with the family, then this tv will do just fine for that.

This was the least expensive 4K TV I've seen in a while, and it is fan-freakin-tastic. Great picture (4K of course) and the sound is rather impressive. This TV is for the bedroom, and it's loud enough so no soundbar needed. Very happy with this purchase, especially for the price! I love the Netflix button. I wish I could customize the other buttons, but it's no biggie. I do have it hooked up with Amazon Alexa, but honestly, it's easier to hit the power button rather than telling Alexia to turn it on. The only thing I don't like about this is there is a little blue light where the IR for the remote is in front. And when sleeping, that little blue light is bright! I usually have to cover it up, but I'm going to try some black tap just enough to cover the light, and hopefully not block the IR for the remote.

Wasn't expecting Samsung-quality, but for the money, the screen and visual fidelity is a strong Not-Too-Bad. After just under two months of ownership, the on-board processor is starting to crap out. By its own admission it has an "Excellent" wifi signal and all my devices in the same house stream fine, yet this brilliant TV can't seem to play or stream any video - from any app - or any source - without an error coming up. No Netflix. No Prime Video. No TV Apps. No YouTube. Strong WiFi. Excellent Signal. No video. You have to treat it like a cheap Android phone, and pull the plug from the wall to force a hard reset, then it clunks back to life. If you have more patience than money, it's a good choice as a starter TV. Not sure who the real manufacturer is that licensed the good Toshiba name, but it's not a high-end product. (I've re-purposed it as a computer monitor.)

Luckily I purchased this TV when there was a sale going on. I have never had a Toshiba TV and decided to give it a try. This one is replacing my 40 in Samsung Smarthub TV, which was outdated when it came to using the browser and being able to use more current apps. Set up was extremely easy. All I had to do was plug it in turn it on and connect to wi-fi and sign in to Amazon. When setting up my antenna channels I loved the fact that I ended up with more channels than I had. I do wish it had a owners manual. It did take me a minute to find where everything was settings wise. I just found out where the sleep timer was and that was due to looking through the reviews on here. I am having a problem though registering my TV with Toshiba. I took the numbers of the back and entered them and it keeps telling me its wrong. I have tried it several ways and no go, even took a pic to make sure I had it correctly. Any ideas? Other than that loving my purchase.

First 4K television I have owned. Very pleased with picture and sound. Previous television is a 40' Sony Bravia HD 1080p which I loved after purchasing it 10 years ago. As the years go by, so does the technology. Had been looking at 4K televisions for a couple of years. I must say I definitely notice a better picture and sound with this Toshiba 43' 4K. Word of advise to consumers that aren't very knowledgeable with technology, you are only going to see the benefits of 4K if the source you are watching is putting out or broadcasting 4K. If the source isn't 4K the picture and sound is going to be worse than watching an older HD 1080p. Had to contact my satellite service provider and upgrade my box and service to 4K. Looks beautiful and sounds great! I highly recommend this Toshiba 4K for the price if you aren't looking to pay twice as much for other brands with similar features.

I had been looking and watching tv prices for months and knew that I wanted a tv in this size or maybe a few inches bigger. However, I wasn't sure about buying Toshiba as a brand even with it being touted as an Amazon enabled tv. At the end of the day what convinced me was a one day sale where it was $199. I couldn't pass it up as the 1080p version was the same price or a little more on a regular basis. I bought it via mobile and picked up a few hrs later after work. Upon getting it home I was amazed at how easy it was to setup and the menus and available apps are great. I'm big on the user interface and inputs being easy to use while offering some advanced features. Also the picture is great, 4k uhd with hdr. I can watch all my Amazon and Netflix shows in clear quality. I'd 100% recommend this tv to anyone even for $100 more than what I paid.

I like all of the featured apps this tv comes with and the size and price. Comes with the Amazon fire stick remote control w/Alexa voice control. This tv has live playback/pause...Wich is pretty cool. The only things I don't like is if you don't have Wi-Fi every time you cut the tv on it changes to the xfinity WiFi screen....also when using an antenna the channels are not numbered like on most tv's they're displayed by the syndication channel ex(WHDH,PBS,MTV ect.) You WILL NOT get the full enjoyment of this tv unless u have internet access!!

I purchased this TV for my bedroom and what was great is the size. Not too big or small. The sound quality has not really been an issue either since it's not as big an area as my living room. However, if I did have it in there, I think I would have to get speakers to get the best sound. As for picture, it often looks grey to me which is why I say it is almost perfect. This is my first 4K purchase and I am not sure if that's just how it looks because they tend to have a brighter picture quality or if it needs an adjustment. I played around with the settings, but only managed to improve it a little. If it wouldn't be such a pain in the butt, I might have considered taking it back because of this. But, I feel for the price, which was more than reasonable on sale, I guess I can live with it.

I bought one of these TV along with an Amazon Echo device over the weekend. For the price, this TV and the quality it offers is a total bargain. You get both DTS Surround and Dolby Audio. In addition, this TV also has a build in DVR that allows you to record up to 2 minutes for live TV if you ever missed a live show while washing dishes in the kitchen. If you use a USB flash drive you can actually record up to 1 hour of TV show. In my house, I also own an Amazon Cloud Cam. With this TV integrated with Alexa. I can now see the Cloud Cam in my side door entry on my Toshiba TV with Alexa remote instead of picking up my phone to check on the camera. Overall, I would say this TV is a great deal compare to what you would pay for Vizio which lacks all of the great Alexa features and the DVR that this TV comes with.

Ok so my parents (bless their hearts) noticed my old tv went out. They decided, by way of a best buy employee, bought me this tv. Best buy employee told them I could use this smart tv without any extra subscriptions. Like you do with most smart tv. You can NOT do anything other then watch something you've plugged in, aka Directv, bluray, ota antenna. You get the point. So I can't surf the internet, watch YouTube video, or anything that a normal smart tv can do. UNLESS you have an Amazon prime account. Which I do not. I'm a disabled American and can not afford cable tv not even Netflix or anything else. I don't even have a card number to put in if I wanted to. I really think that best buy should be aware of this and tell people that unless you already use alexa that you can not use this TV's smart tv options. I really really wish that they would've spent less and gotten a normal smart tv or just a regular tv at that.

Pretty good picture, equals other brands, I like the ease of controls and how they are set up, it came with Alexa but I think it's just as easy to do what I want with the remote. Pretty good speakers for a TV, I don't think I'll buy a sound bar for it because I use it in a bedroom and its plenty loud enough. The things I dont like....i don't like how the cable TV connection is pointed downward, it was difficult to connect the cable. It came with Amazon Fire and my other Tv's have Roku, I think Roku is better because you have more apps to download in my opinion but I do like that this TV will connect to Sony so I can use my PS4 account, Roku doesn't. All in all I think it is a great TV for the price, I have had it for a couple months now and have had zero issues with it.

Bought this TV as a new bedroom TV for $200. The fire tv features work great, the remote always understands what I say (beats the cable remote there), and I have no problem with any network connections. Everything I stream is full quality with no hitches. Menu is snappy and everything is where it should be. The picture is great but it does take some tweaking. The defaults are little too bright for my tastes. The built in speakers are surprisingly solid, I thought I was gonna need to buy a soundbar but even at low volume the TV fills the room with sound just fine. I haven't tried playing any games on the display yet so I can't comment about input lag. But at the very least, for a show watching solid budget set with a built in Fire TV, this is an excellent purchase.

I am so pleased with this TV which was purchased for my bedroom that Im selling my much more expensive livingroom TV and buying another Toshiba. It has so many more options than my big name very expensive livingroom TV, the volume is much louder so I dont need a soundbar, the picture is very nice, lots of easy to use apps, voice control remote that anyone can use vs having to program each voice and if you arent programmed you cant use that option. I still havent figured out how to do that on the livingroom TV that cost over $2000!! I dont usually write reviews but in this case I had to make an exception. Toshiba has themselves a new happy customer!!

Sometimes change and advancement in technology is not always good. This TV is an example of that. Within a few days of setting up my TV, I started having "remote control" problems with this TV. The home button on the remote no longer functions. I can no longer set a sleep timer without this button being operable. Many online blogs state users of this product with the same problem. Also, no number buttons on the remote so you can't direct to certain channels without going through numerous screens to find a specific channel. Picture? Ok, Sound? Ok, Ease of use and functionality? Poor. Luckily I got in on "Black Friday" so I don't feel as cheated as if I would have paid full retail. This TV is a real terd.

Bought this tv for bedroom after old Spectre kept acting up. Got it on Black Friday for the price and glad I did. Picture is decent and temporarily got rid of firestick hanging out of old tv but this tv is still outperformed by Samsung, LG, and Sharp to name a few. Firestick built in actually turned out to be more annoying than I would’ve thought. Also tv has usb input that’s virtually worthless unless you format it to be used solely with tv. Not sure if this was an oversight on Toshiba or Amazon but it’s extremey frustrating and automatically doesn’t make this tv worth anything. Wouldn’t recommend this product solely off that. Besides the low low price it went for there’s no reason to buy this as there’s better options out there. Don’t even know why this is listed as a smart tv.
