This "Best Buy Exclusive" model has all the things you'd want in a mid-sized "smart" TV.The 1080P picture is sharp and has good brightness, color and contrast. The inputs are many and well positioned. It is light and hangs on a VESA bracket on the wall easily. The connections are easy to make, even on the low profile mount, because of the position and orientation of the ports. All TV makers should take a lesson from this setup. The built in ChromeCast and the ability to control it from your smart phone may be of value to some more than others, but it's nice to have the option.
I use the Xfinity remote for most things so the unusual remote is of no concern to me, but as others have noted, it has no numbers. It looks sleek and I suppose this is a "better to look good than to work good" moment for Toshiba. I doubt many will really be inconvenienced in this era of satellite/cable/internet viewing. We subscribe to NetFlix and Xfinity and this TV can handle it all with just the Xfinity digital "adapter" instead of the more costly "converter".
The programming of the Chromecast and the unusual remote might be a turn off for some, but I think most will be able to get by and only a few will need to contact tech for support. I didn't deduct a star for the remote and nothing else has been a negative, so 5 stars. Need a TV in the 43" class? Get one before they are gone!

The quality is poor and the plastic is very brittle. Be careful when mounting on a wall.

I was not impressed with this TV. It is not a true Smart TV. I did not realize when I bought this TV that I would need to use a separate device to stream content. The picture quality was not that great either. We returned the TV and upgraded to a better model.

Great (smart) TV at a low price

I bought this TV to upgrade my old 32" 720p one. For the price this TV exceeds my expectations. The picture is great, but don't expect anything premium in terms of colors and frame rate. The speakers seem very loud and clear. The best way to describe it is a natural TV experience - nothing fancy but also nothing lacking.
I mostly use the TV to play console video games on and it works great after altering the display settings. Unfortunately setting the picture mode to Game Mode looks great, but each time you turn off the TV it disables Game Mode. So I suggest you altar Standard mode to your liking (I prefer cool color temperature with medium contrast). The TV will save individual settings for each input which is really nice. For example, I can set HDMI 1 for what looks nice for watching video and I can have settings for HDMI 3 that look nice for playing PS4 and it saves each picture settings individually.
As for the chromecast, it is a nice feature to have built in without paying extra and having to waste a HDMI slot. The wifi strength seems quite weak compared to other devices so I had to use my wifi repeater to get it to connect at all. Heavy streaming will sometimes disconnect, but using apps like Youtube seems to work fine. I can't really say if this is the TV itself, the chromecast, or just my local wifi.
This TV isn't exactly a smart TV. It has a chromecast but that is really separate from the TV itself. The USB port cannot play videos as expected. So just know this is a regular TV with a chromecast invisibly plugged in. Which is actually great for the price of $250 or less.
I mainly bought this TV because the low price and dimensions between the feet stands. It fits on a 30" wide table even though the screen is much larger. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a normal TV display with streaming functionality.

Toshiba doesn't update chrome cast version

Any product with in-built chrome cast with Toshiba should not be purchased. I called Toshiba to upgrade as I was unable to use some of latest applications but they mentioned that the product has been discontinued and it's a google product, go talk to them for update. It doesn't make sense, I've purchased from Toshiba and they should be fixing it.
Cannot wrap my mind around the response and would recommend to not buy this or any toshiba product

Sound out of synch

This TV is OK if you're using an antenna to watch free to air channels, but I don't recommend if you're using an Amazon Fire TV stick, as the sound will fall out of synch with the images and progressively get worse. The sometimes the sound lags by as much as 10 seconds!
I have followed all the advice given including updating firmware via a USB stick, fiddling with the sound delay options, etc, but nothing seems to work.
Very disappointed.

It suddenly just shuts off. Had it checked for repair but it cost more to have it fix than buying a new one.

Eh, I wasn't too happy with it. The initial setup is through another device. You must use an ipad to even cast. It is not a built in "smart tv" with pre-installed apps.
