Very good 4K TV for the price.

I paid $159 USD, and for a 43" 4K smart TV, it delivers solid performance overall. Picture quality is good for its category, setup was easy, and once running, everything works as expected. This is a Toshiba model instead of Insignia, but it uses the same Fire TV operating system. The menus can feel slow and heavy at times, just like on my other Fire TV, so I don’t think this is a hardware issue. It seems more like a Fire TV software limitation. There are a couple of downsides worth mentioning. The power cable is surprisingly short, which can be inconvenient depending on outlet placement. Also, the user manual states that M6x12 mounting screws are included, but they were not actually in the box, which was a bit annoying when wall mounting. Despite these issues, I still recommend this TV for the price. It’s a good value as long as you’re aware of the Fire TV interface performance and the missing accessories.

Poor Operating System

As an example, there is no option to disable the screen saver and everytime it goes to screen saver it exists all the apps. The OS hangs every now and then and you have to unplug to fully reset it.

Stopped working two months

Bright spot on screen

Initally I thought it was a glare but it never went away regardless of what application we were on. Ended up returning it and getting a different one.

Temporary burn in one day after owning it

Brand New TV

I called Toshiba and reported the problem which began after the July 5th deadline for returns. The customer service line suggested unplugging TV and plugging back in and rebooting the TV. I tried all the suggestions and it was better for 2 weeks then started again.

Displeased

Store claims I returned different TV, than in the box. Absolutely false. Unable to return the defective that was in a sealed box. Very disappointed. Accusing me of try to switch TVs.

I wouldn’t buy it again
