This 43" Toshiba Smart Fire TV Edition is the best

Just look at the picture. This is what it started to do after only about 8 hours of use. Now I won't get as nearly as great a deal on the model i choose when i return this, because i certainly don't want this waste of electronics again. Maybe that is what you get with Best Buy when buying their "best deals," you get one out of the lemon pile.

I had to buy a new TV. I choose this one partially because it was on sale. The other reason was that it is Amazon Fire enabled! I no longer need my Fire TV. I was able to elimate cables, wires and remotes. The TV remote is the same as the Fire TV remote with buttons for Prime Video, Netflix, HBO and Vue. I am able to access tthem easier. The color is vibrant and clear. Clear picture with good sound.

I decided to buy this TV because of: price, availability, and Fire TV features. I love it! I bought it to replace my Toshiba which was over 10 years old. You can’t beat the price, which is just a fraction of the cost of my first flatscreen. It is lightweight and easy to set up. I no longer need to use a Firestick because it’s built right in. I’m also enjoying the Sling free trial that came with it. I might never leave the house!

Got a great deal, love all the built in features. Enjoy that it can update through wifi. Bought this TV to hook my switch up to and watch movies before bed. The picture is great for it being a smaller TV. Love that you can get all sorts of apps to make this TV have endless watching.

Bought the Toshiba as a Deal of the Day for a bedroom TV. It is a perfect size and has a great picture. It has lots of features that I probably will never use but it's nice to have them in the event I choose to. My only complaint is that I can't figure out how to control the TV exclusively with my cable remote. I need the TV remote to turn it off and on and choose cable as the output.

What a deal! I ordered these tvs for a work give away! These have a lot of features! Ez to use with a great picture! They have a lot of features and the sound is pretty good! Great size for apartment living! All the winners thought they were great and much more expensive than the great buy I got!

I bought this for my in-laws for Christmas, after their old TV died. They're very happy with it. What can I say, if you're looking for a TV in the 43" class, and you want Smart TV features, this is a good, and reasonably priced option. The Smart TV operating system is essentially similar to Amazon's own Fire TV stick. It's better than most of the "home grown" Smart TV systems found in other major brands. Particularly if you're a cord-cutter, this TV works great. The TV is provided with 3 HDMI inputs, a composite AV input, and the antenna input. All are selectable as "apps" on the TV's home screen, essentially similar to selecting, say, Netflix, Hulu, etc. It's possible to set the the TV to return directly to the most recently used input, on power up. Picture quality is quite good for the price, and the built-in speakers all also very good.

Clear picture, bright colors, good sound easy to use. Only nic pic would be that if your turn tv on and you had been watching cable on HDMI1, that it stay on cable you last watched instead of going to the fire tv home page where you have to pick HDMI1.

Has served us well. Perfect size for a smaller living room or bedroom. We use it in our guest bedroom that sometimes doubles as a second television viewing area from the living room. No complaints, intuitive remote with good on-screen navigation.

This TV was just what I was looking for. Just the right size and the right price. The color is perfect. I bought it for a duplex that I turned into an Airbnb so guests watch movies and say it works great!

4.5 stars, rounded up because of the value for the money. Great picture and sound is fine, certainly adequate for a bedroom. I only use this for DirecTVNow, Amazon and Netflix so I can't speak to how it behaves otherwise. Set up was pretty easy. It took me awhile to figure out that you have to press the mic button for Alexa to listen to you (which seems like a good thing--who wants an eavesdropper in your bedroom!), but the voice controls I've tried seem to work well. Sometimes I find it tedious to go through so many menus to find what I want, but that may be the fault of the particular streaming service, rather than the TV's interface. So far, I think it's a great product for the price.

Love this tv. So smart, it almost set up by its itself! Bright colors, terrific sound, doesn't need an extra sound bar. Easy to navigate. Bought at a good price. Would recommend this.

I had returned this tv to the store a week after I got it as I was able to purchase an identical tv 43" Toshiba Fire TV but in the 4K version for a better deal. By all means I, have no intention of taking anything away from this tv but when I can upgrade for the same cost, the decision basically makes itself. I guess in terms of quality, value, and ease of use this 1080p version only gets 2* for value as it was a good deal but there was a better deal available. Quality and ease of use still get 5* but if you can get the 4K version for a similar deal, take the better tv.

Having recently purchased a TCL type TV as well, there are notable relative positive and minuses of the Fire TV type TV. First the antenna input is marginal, the replaced TV had a booster amplifier in the TV, this one apparently doesn't and my antenna signal is no longer strong enough to avoid the picture from periodically breaking up. It is difficult to change channels except with a universal remote control, there does not appear to be any way to easily change channels. The Alexa interface is amusing, a better remote would be a positive. The only initial on setting is the last input, the TCL type had an actual default, a much better choice. Tech support in the "manual" and from Toshiba is nearly non existent. TCL offers a one hour DVR type interface on the antenna via a memory stick, this TV is limited to approximately 3 minutes and won't use the memory stick. Overall, a good TV and price but I wish that I had purchased another TCL type TV.

Toshiba TV - very user friendly. price was great. Net Flicks, Prime, etc., built in. Perfect size for a medium sized apartment. DVD easier to use. Love it.!!!!!

Accompanied a friend to the Best Buy store to find a reasonably priced TV to stream channel options for her growing family. Friend is not advanced in tech, in any way. I showed her the TV's on sale for the size she wanted, and the Best Buy department employee took her the rest of the way by answering her questions. Turns out, she set up the TV by herself, and didn't need me or to call for technical assistance, because the employee took the time to give her simple instructions. Thankful for the store employees. They help those who are confused about all of the new technologies!

This is a fabulous TV-especially for the price. It was so easy to read the reviews on the website and make the purchase . Best Buy employees were so helpful and informative when I had questions after my purchase. It was a breeze to set up. We absolutely love the beautiful colors and the easy controls- switch from cable to Netflix quickly and easily. I highly recommend this TV

My 1st smart tv. It is different than a regular tv, which I am adjusting to, because there are cool things too. I gave up cable a few years ago, going with an antenna and Roku stick. I wanted an Alexa connection, but also got some things I didn't know about, such as the onscreen program guide. And, "on demand" like features with some apps, such as ABC app, to catch shows I missed. As for this TV, I like the picture quality, and more. One miss - is no sleep timer on the remote, which is an AmazonFireTV remote. Thru many clicks there is a sleep timer, but it doesn't work when you set and then go to a show. Only appears to work within settings page. ?#!? Maybe software change will eventually fix it. Over all, I am happy with the TV.
