Never really worked. The picture is fine if you can get it to work. I keep having problems with this television. I even purchased a second remote to see if it would help. Changed the batteries countlessly. I have reset it, updated it, and system reset it multiple times. It is slow to respond to the remote. Turns off and on randomly with the remote clearly across the room. If you need to turn it up… it won’t. Until suddenly it will start to turn up or down by itself. I truly regret this purchase. I hate writing poor reviews and usually try every avenue to fix the problems myself. I have ran out of options. Can not get a hold of the manufacturer. Don’t waste your money.

Great so far. Just had it for one day but good as can be.

I have 2 Toshiba Fire TVs, a 43" and a 50", and am disappointed in both for different reasons. This review is related to the 43" TV. (The 50" I bought from Best Buy and have provided a separate review.) I bought the 43" TV July 2020. With the exception of a relatively minor ongoing issue, it worked fine up until about 2 months ago when I began experiencing a really weird/unusual issue. 1 or 2 local channels (specifically Fox and NBC) have suddenly gone "black", meaning I get sound and even closed captions but absolutely no picture, just a black screen (see photo). All other channels work fine. I have 4 other TVs in the house using the SAME streaming service (Hulu) that do NOT have this issue. While certainly not a killer it's inconvenient at times, especially because certain sports events/games are aired on those channels. I spoke with Hulu support who does not believe it's an issue on their end. The fact that I've had questionable experiences with both Toshiba TVs makes me question the quality of these units, and at this time would NOT recommend to others.

I like this tv a lot. I love the convenience of having Amazon Fire TV built in.

The TV is OK. But it came with a dent in the back causing light leakage on the left side of panel. I had to put a black tape on the left frame to cover the light leakage. It does not affect too much of viewing but it should have come without problem.

This TV broke after only 21 months. The TV is used by my elderly mother-in-law, so it doesnt get abused or moved around at all.

Love this tv! This one was purchased for a gift and is the 3rd one I've gotten now. Great picture and I love the ease of use for the apps and the remote too. I've owned other tvs with just way too many buttons on the remote and the home screen is just more complicated than it needs to be. Just plug this one in and you're pretty much ready to start streaming your favorite shows! Great value.

This is a great TV. The picture is very clear. It is easy to operate and understand. Sometime there is a delay with the remote control, even if it has new batteries. However, you can download the remote-control features to your phone, which is nice if you do not have the remote near you. The only thing that was frustrating, was the hard drive on the TV did not hold much. After downloading a few apps, the hard drive was out of space. I had to delete some apps and purchase a 128GB flash drive. Overall, I have owned it for over a year, and it has worked well. I recommend Toshiba’s SMART Fire TV’s.

This TV is such a great value that I bought a 2nd one for another room. For the price, you can’t beat the picture quality or the features. I initially had the same problem others mentioned with buffering. What I figured out was that the TV wasn’t the problem…my budget WiFi speed and crappy modem were the cause. Upgraded both and have never had a buffering issue since. There are certainly Smart TVs out there with better picture quality, sound…etc but you can’t beat this one at this price point. Incredibly easy to set up and it took less than an hour to get the hang of using it.
