Love this TV....great picture & sound! Being over the age of 50, it was a little challenging to figure out some features & the interfacing with the cable system .

Great clarity and picture on this. TV was purchased for my visually impaired mom. Unfortunately I the interface with the cable (altice) box and Alexa don't work that well together.

You can cut the cord to Cable with this TV. It is so easy to use and bounce back and forth between apps. I love it. The picture is great too.

This 50" 4K TV is great for the price. With the built it in FireTV OS, it's best use for streaming services with different streaming apps. This TV is not built best for regular cable channel and cable box as the remote is not designed for regular channel number input as it doesn't have one. If you are cord cutters, this is the right TV for you.

Bought this TV during Black Friday sale. I use it in an office where I have high speed internet, but not cable. It is "streaming" ready and the Alexa button is awesome to find any show or movie by just asking. I have an accent and Alexa gets me what I want at the first time. Color, resolution, sound, streaming and Alexa are all great, but I wish I would have gone bigger than 50 inches.

I purchased this tv for a christmas present in the 43 version and loved it so much I got the 50 inch. The price was awes ...idk me and I couldn't pass it up. I recently cut the cord on cable and lone that the firetv is built in . No need to mess with another device to stream. The set up was extremely easy. The picture is beautiful.

Very good picture. Very easy to set up with the built in Fire-Stick. Bought 2 as Christmas gifts for family members. 1 is set up as online only (no cable/satellite) and one is set up to Dish only. The picture on both is very good and the sound is loud and clear enough for the rooms they are in (average size rooms). Would definitely buy again.

I bought this TV to replace our aged 40" Sony/Google TV. The setup was a breeze and as soon as we had a picture, I couldn't believe the clarity of the picture. I mean the colors practically POP off the screen. The only downside I can think of is that we still have to use our cable box and remote to watch anything on cable (that's no knock on the television itself). But as of this writing I can skip between cable, antenna (where we only pick up a few stations), Blu-ray player and Kodi video box. And yet we still have Netflix and everything else right at our fingertips (or voice if you prefer to use Alexa as your guide). Now if somebody could only tell me how to get around that cable box. . But still, for the price and the picture quality, I would definitely say this TV is a bargain.

    Not Sure What to Rate

I'm not sure how or what to rate this tv yet, we purchased it for my daughter 2 days ago and unboxed it finally yesterday morning and connected to WIFI just fine. I got all excited because of the big screen with all the apps that she would be able to use etc, then we came onto please login to your amazon account. I order from amazon all the time, we've had a prime account for years, I have 3 firesticks loaded throughout the house, so for the fact that this tv has all the perks loaded into one seemed to be a great option. My downfall is it will not login to my account, I called customer service with amazon through my prime service on my phone and he told me that since it was a Toshiba Fire TV, he wouldn't be able to troubleshoot or figure out why it wouldn't logon....to me it seemed like an amazon problem bc it would load on my phone but not on the tv right? I ended up getting on the phone with Toshiba, he asked me when I bought the tv, my response being literally last night, and he says well you are still within the return warranty window you can take it back. Our team is aware of the problem and you aren't the only one who has called in that hasn't been able to login to access the tv options. With that being said, I wouldn't mind if she couldn't use the netflix, hulu, HBO, amazon, etc right now, I understand that things happen and software shuts down and has to be updated and fixed, but there's no way of getting around logging in to your account on this tv. I tried logging in through full version, which is already having an account and it telling me that my password or email was wrong, and basic version, which just kept going to an error screen and not letting me just connect to an HDMI to watch cable or even a dvd player. Seems like there would be a bypass option if there are technical difficulties with what the tv was purchased for, which was all the perks and apps, but just to be able to plug in and watch regular tv would be nice. We don't live near where we bought this tv, so for me to have to unmount it, box it back up, and take it back to the store isn't just as easy as it sounds. Not sure what to do still holding on to not being able to get past the login state....

Easy to set up. It's loud. Even on low volume, it's plenty loud! I hard wired it to the internet so I didn't have to type in my WiFi password. The only thing I don't like is that for some reason every time I turn it on it goes to he home screen so I have to go to input and select cable to continue watching cable. My friend has this tv and it doesn't do that for her. Best Buy suggested I reset the whole tv to factory settings and that may help. I still need to try that. Good picture (I'm not super impressed but everyone who comes over seems to be). Good value for the money.

If you are looking for quality-affordable LED TV

This Toshiba TV is outstanding! You can have not only a 50in TV with LED TEchnology and great quality color resolution, but sound as well as (Onkyo Speakers) and Alexa functionality, it is a wise choice if you are looking for affordable and being pleased with all the features included on this TV. It also have the Sling TV app free for 3 months, and after that $25/m which makes me consider seriously to get rid of my cable subscription. It is really a 4k HDR. Every single color is brilliant and the little details of the picture is neat, You dont need to change the factory default, the way it comes configured makes an amazing picture. Ports are: Lan Port for wired connectivity, RCA AV in, Stereo Jack audio out, Digital Optical Output, 2 HDMI ports, and 1 HDMI ARC port, and one USB port. The USB is just for viewing pictures stored in a USB drive, or as an additional storage for the TV. The HDMI ARC feature doesn't come enable by default, so in order to enable this feature you will have to turn on HDMI-CECIn. The initial Setup is very simple, you can setup you Netflix, Youtube or amazon account and it will find automatically all the Wireless networks available, all you have to do is add your Password. The remote has a simple and intuitive configuration, few keys but enough to manage all the features you need.

Maybe I am not "techy" enough but I have not found anything special about this TV. Oh wait...the base. I LOVE this style of base- it seems much more stable then my last TV. I have internet only at my home- cable is just too expensive! I also have Netflix and I do NOT have Amazon Prime but it appears that to use this to the full potential I must have cable AND prime. All out of my price range. Set up was easy- I had my house-mate do it and he had no problems. We could not get the remote to do anything beyond turning the TV on and off, so after 3 battery changes, I called the help line. While on perm-hold we unplugged the TV and plugged it back in and it works! Oh, and what is up with the the no manual movement? The pic is great and I am sure if I can sit down and play with it for a few hours I will understand better

    A very good experience

I wanted to put a TV in a guest bedroom without paying for an additional cable hookup, and the Toshiba Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR - Fire TV Edition was the right way to go. Before I moved the TV to its permanent home, I hooked it up to a cable outlet and Blu-ray player and tried it out. No matter what input I used - Wi-Fi, Blu-ray, or cable - this TV delivered excellent reception, a high quality picture, good sound, and all around good performance. The affordable price makes everything even better. The good experience began with the packaging. The first thing I saw when I opened the box was a diagram for how to remove everything from the box and how to separate the TV from its Styrofoam cocoon. I have kept that diagram in case I ever need to re-box the unit, because I know from experience that what appears obvious when you're unpacking equipment is often far from obvious when you need to repackage it. The next good experience was how easy it was to attach the feet to the TV and hook up the various wires and cables. There again was a very straightforward diagram that allowed me to do this alone and get everything right the first time in about 5 minutes. The only thing left to do was to strip off the protective plastic film, insert the batteries into the remote, and turn everything on. Set up was a breeze. Onscreen directions walked me through everything, and as soon as I had entered in the Wi-Fi, Amazon, and Netflix passwords and allowed for a software update, I had access to everything. The closest thing I can think of to an inconvenience is for users who usually watch TV using the cable input. When you turn on the TV, it opens to the Fire TV option, not the last viewed input. However, the opening screen does display the Recent, Last Viewed, and On Now content, and you can just click on your desired option. It takes just a second to accomplish this. I couldn't be happier with the Toshiba Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR - Fire TV Edition and wouldn't hesitate to use it as my primary TV. Indeed, whenever my husband or I want to go off and watch TV alone, we go to the guest bedroom and use this TV instead of watching the higher-priced TV in our master bedroom. If (when? @@@@@@@ the day comes that we finally cut the cable cord, we will either move this TV into our den or buy another one for that location, because it makes streaming so convenient and simple. A very good experience.
