They must be getting rid of damaged goods and writing them off when they get to us broken almost in half. They wouldn't even replace the second one for whatever reason, because it had already been replaced once? There will be a hole in the box near where the bottom of the screen is, and the screen will be broken and spidered. Every time.

Not sure what happened. It was working and then the display just went awry.

It lasted 47 days. I now have sound and no picture. Be aware that you only get 15 days to return it to Best Buy. I'm not sure what we pay for these days, if you have to buy an extra warranty to make sure you don't get stuck with a lemon.

After 1 day the TV decided not to work any more and was returned for a replacement. 8 months later the replacement died and it would cost me more to pay and have it shipped then to just buy a new TV Toshiba left a bad taste and I will never again in my life buy a product that Toshiba makes

Picture quality is not quite the Toshiba quality I was expecting or accustomed to knowing or viewing. You can't see the entire viewing area no matter what ratio you select. I would not recommend.

The tv has a USB port, but can't play movies from a thumb drive. I would return it if I still had the box and stand. Without them I figure I will have to pay a restocking fee.

I will not recommend this TV To nobody quality is poor the way they handle them and they came damaged real quick

This TV showed up with a hole in the box and a cracked screen. Getting it returned.

The screen went black after a little over a year. Not worth it

I received this product new and It did not working

I was looking for a 1080p television with no internet connectivity in an affordable price range with low input lag for gaming, and this television hits the mark in all ways. I purchased it for $279.99 on sale through Bestbuy.com and it was delivered quickly and securely. The television itself, compared to other 1080p TVs, is very standard - everything about it is "as expected", but at the price point for a large 50" TV, you are getting a great deal. The image quality is good - about as good as you expect a TV like this to be. The colors are not quite as vivid as more premiere manufacturers like Sony or Sharp, but is still nothing short of great. The sound quality is much better than you'd expect from normal television speakers as well. It uses some sort of Dolby audio technology to enhance the built-in speakers experience and it actually sounds pretty darn good. I'd suggest getting external speakers if this is your primary viewing television though, as its bass output isn't quite powerful enough for home theater viewing. In addition to these, the lack of "Smart" technology is a big plus. You don't have to fuss with updates or invasive privacy concerns, and pretty much everyone uses a Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, etc, and they are all you need. Also to top it off, the input lag is extremely low, which makes this an excellent gaming television for your consoles. There is slight motion blur that can be distracting on the highest-paced action games, but it really is a non issue for most of the time. Overall, this is a great TV for the price and I consider it the best value at this price point.

Packaged well. Very light for size and easily lifted by myself. Excellent picture brightness and color. Great sound. I am sure some would find this model lacking in features but this review is considering that it was a sub $300 HD LED tv. What more could one ask for at that price. It uses $8-$34 per year in energy! As a former owner of a $2,000 5ft wide JVC and a "best tv ever" Panasonic plasma, I find this every bit as good and no reason somebody should spend more unless they are seeking many more features. I call this not a deal but a steal.

I have only had mine set up for about 2 weeks so I cannot speak to long term reliability, but for the price I am very pleased with the picture thus far and extremely surprised by the sound quality. I've had Samsung TV's that have pathetic speakers in which a soundbar is needed for any semblance of quality audio but this Toshiba blasts! The DTS Surround Sound is for real! I was checking out sound bars just in case but once I got a load of the stock sound on this unit, I decided to hold off for the foreseeable future. If you're like me and have a PS4 (or XBox or other streaming device) and therefore do not need a Smart TV, this is a fabulous choice; Nice & big, terrific sound, and great value.
