Bought this to increase the capacity of my ps3 (40gb wasn't cutting it). It was simple to replace (instructions are on SONY's website, just find your model). I installed it several months ago and I've had no problems.. Now I have room for all of those free PSN games!

Bought this for my cousin to use in his old PS3 that had like 80GB of storage before. He's now enjoying much more storage with it.

I have switched from Seagate drives to Toshiba and I have found they hold up much better. At less than $50 this is a true bargain.

My computer crashed and I had to send my laptop's original hard drive to a Best Buy forensics center in hopes of recovering my precious data. All I could do was focus on the possible loss of data. (I didn't have a proper backup regimen-- Listen up! Backup your data NOW so it doesn't happen to you.) I didn't think that I would have to replace the drive as this had never happened to me before. As the Geek Squad prepared the paperwork to ship off the crashed hard drive, we discussed restoring my laptop to working condition. I needed a new hard drive and I really wasn't in any mood to compare replacement drives. A Geek Squad member suggested this particular model. It's been weeks since they installed the new hard drive and my laptop continues to work as good as new! By the way, Best Buy was able to recover all my data. Whew! But still..back up your data!

This is an okay hard drive for storage purposes (i.e. using it as an external hard drive or extra storage in a computer), but I would not use it as the main hard drive in a laptop. This is a 5400 rpm hard drive which is to slow for an operating system and other programs to run smoothly on. I would suggest a 7200 rpm hard drive as the main drive in any computer.

Good internal hardrive but had to return it because my motherboard was the problem not the hardrive.

For the price its ok, its working excellent on my 2years old laptop and runs so fast like a brand new laptop.

Works like a champ, pc sometimes runs 48 hours at a time without shutdown. No problems from hard drive.

This toshiba hard dard drive is Best Buy for the money. I use it on all my customers computers.

I needed a replacement HDD and did not want to spend a lot of money. I was able to acquire this unit for a reasonable price and it will serve its purpose until I decide to move into a solid state drive. If you are looking for an inexpensive alternative to the SSD, this is the brand to go to.

This drive was purchased to replace an Apple- branded unit for a 13" MacBook Pro. It's a solid performer and no observed downside.
