Bought this same time I bought an Amazon Fire TV Stick for an older 32" Toshiba LCD TV. Love the Toshiba brand for it's durability, longevity, and quality. Still have Toshiba DVD, CD, and VCR, and two TV's. Hard to upgrade when their stuff won't quit! The Fire TV has more memory than the Fire Stick. I like the processor. Quite fast. The Fire Stick has a quad core, so the Fire TV has at least that. The TV has 3 HDMI ports and a LAN for a Ethernet hookup. The major complaint I've seen is being hard to view in bright light conditions. Really?!? Always heard that complaint about Toshiba TV'S. My view screen don't work to well either when a light is shown in my eyes! This TV has 2160p resolution- a BIG plus! Just wish it had a full 120 Hz refresh rate. 60hz seems to be the norm, but then it won't make the under $500 price point. Every time I go TV shopping for myself or to recommend for someone else, just keep coming back to Toshiba. Plus, can't beat the price that Best Buy is offering on this one. This Smart One is definitely a Smart Buy!

What a beautiful picture coupled with 4k Fire TV this has to be the best bargain I ever gotten at Best Buy at $299... :) Took me longer to get the tv out of the box then to setup. In 5 minutes I was up and running. I only have WiFi in the house...no cable or satellite ... 4k is really nice and crisp, black levels (contrast) needed an adjustment for my taste...my only problem right now is I'm watching to much tv. :)

This television is solid for the price. With 4K TVs being the norm, they're available at all price points, and this TV falls into the low/mid tier as far as quality, color, and features go. Built in amazon fire TV is a huge plus if you're a cord cutter and would also enjoy less remotes cluttering your coffee table. Overall, I find very few things to complain about, but there definitely are better TVs available if you're willing to pay for them.

I got Toshiba because I have 2 32" tv's. A Toshiba and Sony, The Toshiba has a much better picture. I picked the 55" Toshiba also because it comes with Fire tv. The fire tv is better than my fire stick and way better than roku. Very easy to set up and operate. The sound is better than I expected, but probably ad soundbar with subwoofer later for full 4k effect. Overall I'm very happy with my 55" Toshiba 4k tv with fire tv.

This TV has great picture and very good sound by itself with a good amount of pre-loaded apps on it. The system is fairly easy to use and isn't too difficult to set-up for use if you take your time. Some of the apps will reset themselves at times so you may have to input your login info on occasions. It isn't hard, just annoying and if it wasn't for this odd reset situation this TV would have gotten 5 stars.

Very nice clear picture. Easy to navigate. Quick set up. Color is Crystal clear also.

I am a well informed tech buyer and while I like really high end electronics I am also not made of money. When looking for a tv for our family room (not our main tv) I was looking for something that would not break the bank but would perform. I got this tv on sale and was not sure what to respect. I knew I didn’t want a Vizio and Toshiba is a good brand so I pulled the trigger. I’m truly glad I did: 1. Picture! I would go as far to say that the picture and colors etc. rival or even surpass the quality of our main tv which retailed for FAR more. 2. Fire tv edition: I didn’t know what to expect; I did not like many smart tv interfaces and usually end up adding an Apple TV to the mix but it’s not necessary here. The fire/Amazon functionality is incredible and having Alexa in your remote is amazing (she’s not always listening thank GOD, you have to press the Amazon button on the remote and give commands but she has all the Alexa features; she can change your nest thermostats setting etc). I was even impressed with the built in speakers. No tv has great speakers anymore but setting up the tv I was pleasantly surprised. I still turned them off and hooked up my sound bar. Liked it so much I bought my mom one and she shares the same thoughts on this set.

We've enjoyed the quality and functionality of this television since we set it up. The only negative thing to say is that the volume changes drastically whenever we watch a blue ray on the xbox...but who's to say it's the TV or the console? I absolutely recommend this item if you are looking for something that ticks most boxes on a budget.

Sharp, bright picture. Love the fire-stick remote. Simple with a half dozen buttons instead of the typical multi-button monsters out there. Easy setup, light enough that I wall mounted it without help. I have a 50" version in the bedroom that failed after 6 months. No problem, Toshiba replaced it with a newer model without question.

We were "window-shopping" for a new TV as we rearranged the house layout. Had planned to move existing unit to a new room; but that entailed moving all the coax and such. Saw this unit on sale - looked at picture quality and features, and with built-in WiFi and Fire - it was a no-brainer to pick this up at the sale price ($299 at the time) and leave the other TV in place. Easy setup, excellent picture and sound quality. Loads of pre-installed channel apps; and dozens more available. Only drawback thus far is the controls - all run through the Amazon Fire remote and menu navigation isn't intuitive unless you use Fire a lot. That might be easier by using Alexa - but Alexa isn't welcome in our home. Bottom line: Great buy.

My original tv broke and I needed a new one. I compared all sort of different models and decided to give this one a try. I usually have Samsung tv’s but the price comparison was too hard to pass up. I like the smart tv functions and the ease of connectivity. Picture great once you adjust to your watching style, etc.

Nice TV, good quality picture, and easy to set up. The interface getting around the apps/services is a bit clunky if you're a true cord-cutter. Also, we've had an issue that the TV needs to be re-started too frequently as it can hang up when switching between apps.

Best Buy had a great sale on this TV. Upgraded from 42" to 55". Good smart TV menu upon power on. Wanted to integrate with Verizon remote and default to cable instead of having to select input everytime but still not able to do it. That's the only drawback. Great TV with a great price.

I had previously purchased a 43 inch Toshiba Fire TV which i loved but decided i wanted a bigger tv to replace it in the living room. I saw this 55inch on sale at BB and ordered it immediately and picked it up later the same day. It was easy to assemble and it did not take long for the tv to update itself once i connected it to my WiFi. This tv has a great clear picture and excellent sound quality so no sound bar is needed.

Beautiful picture with built-in Amazon. What more could you want in a TV? A great price...got that too on sale at my local Best Buy. Easy set up, no calibration needed. TV speakers were adequate, but I use a soundbar so no long term data there. Xbox One looks and plays great on this TV.

This is a great TV. I have bought two because I like them. First it's really easy to use and loaded with features. I have been able to download all the apps I use. And features Alexa in the remote makes getting from one app to another really easy.

I have this TV for more than 2 years now, and its a very good TV., The image quality is very real and the colors are natural and for the price you'll be not disappointed. I was surprised to know that the build in speakers of this TV are manufactured by Onkyo, one of the best manufacturers of high end sound electronics, and yes, you can hear the difference, I have a sound bar that is sitting next to the TV, but I don't have the need to use it, because the speaker on the TV sounds very good. This TV runs on Amazon TV software, (in my opinion is even better than Samsung operating software, and faster too) so you don’t have to buy additional peripherals, like the popular Amazon fire sticks, saving you some money.

Bought one last August it died out of no where a month back and had to get a new one under the manufactures warranty. While it worked and the new one are great for a $300 tv Great buy hopefully the one I had was just a lemon.

I’m very impressed by the ease of use built-in applications they control the smart apps and the functionality of the TV and the remote control. Very user-friendly even my seven-year-old can control it to a certain degree also utilizing the voice command makes it worthwhile. I have all my entertainment wrapped up in the one TV not needing any external devices to connect to different apps it’s all built-in and the option of wireless connectivity or land connectivity makes my options great. So I can mix and match with my other devices in my home on how I want to connect. The picture is great, National Geographic’s to Hulu Movies, looks great with lights on, even better with lights off. Toshiba has left a great impression. I’ll be buying another soon.

My tv is still running great and I have had no problems with it. I bought it in 2018 and love the smart tv!
